I agree with markets reacting to innovation in the long term considering there are key players looking at this space from a long term point of view. Short term market manipulation in the alt coin world is prevailing now more than ever. I believe once proper regulation is in process, people would be less likely to fall for these traps. But, at the same time, the general sentiment around a coin has to be positive before it really takes off. Cloak has been creating the buzz and they have something to show with PoSA so it might not really cool off unless there's something better. XC, on the other hand has been on the sidelines since the last PR release and the general sentiment has grown negative towards it. It might not matter to long term holders, but for the weak hands and the new comers, this is not welcoming at all. Perhaps this is what the ultimate goal is.. We'll see what happens..

To be honest never thought cloak would outperform XC. Doesn't seem right if you ask me.
cloaks Pump will be short lived like XC's to 300k, don't really care though. Cloak is a niche coin designed for black market activity, XCurrency is built for mass adoption by society while its anonymity feature will also attract black market consumers like cloak. Cloak is a single edged sword, while XC is the double-edged sword.

Taking into consideration the low volume of trading on mintpal, do you think it would be worth maybe delaying the really big news until consumer confidence recovers in the Altcoin world? I was thinking in regards to maximising the growth of XC so its true value is reflected in the price it should reach.
For example, if REV 3 was released tomorrow along with huge PR, I'd estimate there would be a struggle to break 180k simply because of the low trading volume.
Just want to get a few thoughts on the matter.

I see your point knowbrainar, and I do think if mintpal recovers some of its volume it will be beneficial for all alts on there. Since Rev 3 is still a little ways off I think theres a chance we'll have good volume on mintpal and hopefully most other exchanges as well.

Dont forget XC was top 5 in marketcap just a few weeks after being created... crypto markets are interesting.

Have you guys thought about updating the title also?
Agreed. I think some of the ideas suggested before would be eye-catching. Keep the XC as a means of the coin's symbol but reference XCurrency and the other features that are current and upcoming: Xchat, Decentralized mixing, etc, etc

Ha looks like they have just about every crypto on there... I recently worked through the old thread for the DeFUD campaign so I'll send them a message and see what happens. I'll check out that thread as well.

Well I can tell you that yesterday, I was busy irl so I only answared emails. Today, posts emails/pms only as well so far.
Maybe we could start organizing a live community event broadcasted on YouTube shortly after launch?
Or is something in the works?
