EM TEST RELEASE

Now available at

http://downloads.xc-official.com/testing/

Windows only for now, The UI for this feature will be completely revamped but I need to test out the core of this feature.

The PDF has a quick walk through on how to use

You will need to generate a new address, which also creates a PUBKEY just for that address, which is used for encryption.  You will need the remote users XC Address and also the PUBKEY.

I need to setup the testnet node, then some testing can take place - due to the hour[and I'm away from my main pc], it may not be until tomorrow morning for the actual test itself.

thanks,

Dan

Why is that funny?

I have 267 XC atm, it isn't much, but it is all I could afford.
He, i know people that are sure you can buy a great car with that amount 6 months from now. Wait some more while you think about what you could do with 267 BTC you stored in 2011. There are not so many coins going around & this is a POS coin Smiley

I didn't even know about Bitcoins in 2011, I heard of them first in 2013 :/.

Anyway, I hope that XC will be worth a lot in the times to come and I wish you all best of luck saving as much as possible.

we wish as luck as well

In the meantime, only good news to come, w8ing for EM release, mac users got anon wallet, we got UI anon wallet, yet volume is low and price small decline. So everything normal in XC land!

Wait, what?

There's an updated mac wallet? Got a link so I don't have to search through the pages? I've been waiting for it for what seems like foreverrrrr.  Shocked

So... shall we change the subject to something a little more realistic?

A wrap-up of the week's progress:

- invented trustless decentralised mixing

- added our first two XC Foundation members, who'll be deploying two-way XC/Bitcoin ATMs, an XC crowdfunding platform, and of course attracting investors.

- added Rob Kremers (Microsoft, Adidas) on the marketing front

This weekend: test-release of secure private messaging. Cheers WhatsApp!

To the moon? To the stars.

So change the title to Invented Trustless Decentralised Mixing

Actually, this might be a good idea.  Add to title: "First Trustless Decentralized Mixer"

Teka, your thoughts?

I edited my post to include:

Again, the file should contain a PGP message including the URL of each wallet download, and its corresponding sha256 hash, signed off by Dan. If Dan can certify from his account here that he is in control of the key:

1356792A (from http://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?search=atcsecure&op=index)

that key would suffice in my opinion.

The .sig you sent doesn't include the information above.

He will be adding that key's fingerprint to his BitcoinTalk account as soon as he gets access to a computer :-) He's been busy away from a machine that can access it at the moment. I'm sure we can provide those items, this was just a short-term fix as we recognised that we needed to give some kind of validation. My countersign of the key (Canonical have verified my identity on Launchpad, if you're concerned about that: https://launchpad.net/~n00bsys0p) is all we've managed for now, but we will be doing this properly as soon as we can organise it. We do realise the necessity for validation of download integrity, and shall be taking steps to improve this for future releases.

btcsql, Dan is busy trying to deliver the EM for tonight testing and finish up fixing Rev 2 release.   If it's so important to you, why don't you wait for the release?   Causing unnecessary work for the team is totally idiotic.   There are a lot of WAY HIGHER PRIORITY stuff over your unnecessary request.

I'll wait for the release and hope for the best. I wouldn't understate the importance of what I'm asking, though. If it's part of the new release then there is no need for a bounty.

Perhaps the team might as well start delivering fresh, hot coffee door to door, I know that would reassure a lot of holders for the work being done here.

Again, excellent work, I need to buy mroe XC, yet again.
just did, but only got 0.061148XC because of some polo giveaway

There is nothing of value to me in that file you uploaded:

Hi I do the package distribution for XC

That is a GPG signature using atcsecure's GPG signature; it works fine. I tested it myself barely minutes ago.

You need to verify it against ATC's GPG sig which is available here: http://keys.gnupg.net/pks/lookup?op=vindex&search=0xA133B0461356792A

I have countersigned ATC's key myself (n00bsys0p AT xc-official.com) to verify that it is indeed his.

His fingerprint is: 5974 678C FC1A A990 2C4C  2704 A133 B046 1356 792A

If you need help verifying the download file against it please let me know.
