Is it really untraceable? What about regulations forcing to make cryptocurrency traceable? Would be interesting to know how Monero can cope with it.

Well I don't have much.  But I did put a couple ryzen CPU on it this morning via supportxmr.

Got NVidia GPU which don't hash great on this algo so that's it for me.  Wink

I think I found the flaw in our plan of looking at the hash rate to determine roughly who is what. By when/how much the hash goes back up etc.

However, If it drops significantly now? it will probably attract new or retired miners to the project so skewing the figures.

2 explorer with different information, which chain is correct?   https://moneroblocks.info/      https://moneroexplorer.com/

Well this explorer says currently 17 blocks on new fork, laptop cranking away 78 h/s   Grin

the daemon lists a hash rate that is a long average, according to hyc via reddit.  (still saying 1.13 gh)

Unknown hash rate still high, so can we assume either that was something more like Javascript mining or can we assume that ASICs were able to update their algorithm too?

global hashrate is pretty low right now. it is taking forever each block. so most are either not ready yet. Or maybe botnets and asic was really heavy on monero

We won't really be able to get a good estimate for the unknown hashrate until the difficulty adjusts properly Smiley

Right. Some good information can be found here:

In most pools the hashrate drops massively (e.g. nanopool from ~60 MH to 25 MH) and also a baikal N user confirmed he is not able to mine Monero any more.
Also blocktime has gone up massively.
I think it needs some time to adjust.

Cheers

Why are the blocks taking so long?  Difficulty: Retargets at every block

Difficulty is based on the time between the last 720 blocks. It will take some time to return to normal block times Smiley

Happy fork network upgrade day! May everyone be blessed with great mining profitability.

whattomine.com hasn't updated their shit, I can't tell what's going on ATM!!!

I'm using http://preview.moneropools.com/#/network and https://moneroexplorer.pro/

PoolReported hashrate before forkReported hashrate after fork
SupportXMR51.33 MH/s19.75 MH/s
Nanopool60.00 MH/s15.00 MH/s
crypto-pool.fr11.73 MH/s00.94 MH/s
XMRPool.net01.00 MH/s00.18 MH/s
HashVault04.00 MH/s01.59 MH/s

(although this could just be regular miners not being updated instead of mining ASICs leaving)

Wow nanopool was all asics and botnets, hell all the pools were.

Be careful lifting those mining bags folks, remember lift with your legs not with your back.  Cheesy

Hello,

Bitlab has been updated to support V7 Monero (as well as other V7 Cryptonight, or Cryptonight-heavy coins).

Good job on the fork!

The former (MoneroBlocks) is on the wrong (alternative) chain.

40% of the net hash is gone after the fork.

17 blocks found in 1 hour. Before the fork we got 30 blocks/hour

Shocked Where did you see it?!?!?

Before a fork Network: 1.12 GH/s, after fork again so!
My information is from the https://supportxmr.com/ pool!

Only 7 blocks have been found yet. You're probably looking at the alternative chain.
