Another gem of investment advice from Klee.

I think its interesting that even in a space like crypto, where the whole point is that you are able to take responsibility for your investments and speculations, there exists a vacuum of insecurity that is filled by self-appointed oracles like Klee.

As a social group, we don't seem to learn; we keep lining the pockets of those willing to provide the security of 'seeing the future'.

I hope he gets a pile of angry 'please explain' emails

Nothing but respect for you my main man @smoothie.

Please edit your post. I was confused that it was klee who I loathe along with Heuristic and other perpetual sellers. Sorry @canth is not my target hate group  Angry

Oh so you mistakenly thought that user was klee?

Is moneroaddress safe and proven? Have there been any hacks?
Would you be comfortable storing 10,000 moeneros (dont have that many, just trying to make a point)?

And how would you break up the moneros? Print out 10 different wallets and split it between them?

https://moneroaddress.org/

I'd say generate your own wallets offline with the official simplewallet client. Keep it in cold storage.

0.007!

I sold 10% - couldn't help it. Still holding on to 90% for the long term.

Sold 100% at 8 once I saw faggots like you are back.

@Newbies looking to get in , dont buy yet. Let the big boys play chess with each other first and knock a few out for good. You will get you buy zone in a day or two.

Sophism lives in Monero community!

Socrates would be sad  Embarrassed Cry

I am out. Community sucks, with some bright exceptions.

Zcash will teach you a lesson I suppose.

For those interested (and I have many people in my team that like XMR) I still cover this coin because TA is TA.
If I see an opportunity in XMR I will advise everyone to buy.

Currently the guideline is to not touch this unless it gets ridiculously oversold (50-75k) because from TA PoV (performance, relative strength to ETH, LSK etc), liquidity, whale manipulation etc etc SUCKS!

Keep holding your bags as 'investors' lol

quoting this for the lulz

edit: I guess Klee meant 0.005-0.0075 BTC per XMR

LOL nice find. I hope Klee didn't tell his subs not to buy XMR...oh wait, he basically did in his above quoted post.  Cheesy

kõik mu monero-d on kadunud aga maja on korras  Embarrassed

I can't believe you are not holding Monero!  Would have thought your portfolio would have space for a few thousand.

Still at least you have a roof over your head Cheesy

I'd be interested in your thoughts about XAG - it seems to have taken a life of its own recently. How long do you think the recent correction will continue?

Champagne and popcorn time...

Where is the top...?!   Seems we're taking a breather after pipping over .0065, but is there more to come?  Can't stop watching - just watching Polo troll box is delightful.

I guess we are too classy to be posting train pics, or 'boom' gifs?

I'm not sure but I think that train pics and such are not allowed Sad

Top?  We are presently at 0.65% of btc.  Paltry.

Number of Monero I have sold during this rise = 0

Edit:  I did buy a relatively small amount @420

Well now we have hit 0.0075 I wish I could say the same, as I have sold more than I wish I had (with hindsight).

I set up ladders of sells and buys as I have done since it first opened on Polo and I have stuck to prioritising accumulation while passively range trading constantly to average down my price per coin overall.  I wanted to maintain a 0.1% of supply holding, but tonight with it smashing many of my upper rungs so fast, I am below target by an amount I will struggle to claw back.  Of course I can't complain, although I just wish I could get BTC out of Polo quicker than the minimum limits allow.

It's been a fantastic 24 hours for those of us in in for the long term though....

And shame about the trains, we're a stuffy lot sometimes, a little exuberance is occasionally warranted IMHO.

Don't feel bad about that.. I was kinda in your same boat. Close to .1% but sold off a lot today. Made my initial investment back and then some  Grin  Gonna be hard for me as well to get back to that level but it's all good. Will prob just be sitting back now and watching how things unfold, staying away from trading until/unless we go back under .004~.005

Hey chickens!

Just here to welcome the 0.001's . You were all warned, so don't cry now....   Cry

You cannot imagine how my portfolio looks right now... MUAHAHAHAHAA Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have good and fresh news from you ducks: I've closed all my XMR shorts and most members of the circle are starting doing the same. We all know that XMR is one of the most promising shits outthere and it's not wise to continue short at those prices.

In fact, I've already bought tons of XMR and we'll continue to do so. Here officially starts the new BTC and ALT bubble, so get ready for a +50M $ cap on XMR in a few months.

But shhhh, it's just a secret, don't expand it! Wink

Well folks, just here to remember what was the situation a few months ago.

Said that, I'm full out of XMR with more than a +500 BTC profit.

Just have to say very thanks to all of you for your behaviour. We could not did that without you.

Now it's turn to your brothers BBR and AEON, so get ready for the pumps!! Grin Grin

Well thanks brother. You know what they say. There is no such thing as bad press.

Nearly all the moneros are in shorts. The amount of remaining fuel is astounding

Enough shorts taken to bite at my 1% offering, but lots still available right now.

Looks to stabilize around 4.20 usd maybe. (Coincidence? Ha!) Expect some vol.  Good place to resume market making, but plan for more spikes.

Edit: I estimate a good working range as 3.85 to 4.65 right now (8pm Eastern US) but most of the risk is upside, on short covering, so don't get caught offsides!

The answer to your original question should include a timeframe which I did not give.  I assume the question was short and my answer was l o  n   g.  As I said a few months ago I'm giving this 3 years.

Also I no longer trade and haven't for a while for several reasons.  I'm content having my relative price lowered by the price rising.

Best of luck getting your precious Monero back.

Where is this going to go? Is there a target? Or is everyone just cashing in and partying?

I've been out of the loop with monero - any gui in the works? Tongue

Information, screen shots, and build instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/4z1hmk/monero_core_gui/

Looking at the pics it appears there is only one receiving address in a wallet. Does that mean that multiple wallets has to be created and synced and backed up and managed if I want to give different addresses to different parties?

Payment IDs can be used for what you are describing.  There are less arguments for lots of addresses with monero.

If you want to retain privacy you shouldn't give the same address to more than one party.

It depends on use case but that is often correct. For a public entity like a business or exchange it is okay to do, and then use payment ids (or preferably integrated addresses) for each individual customer or order. In general, if people already know who they are paying, then it is okay the use a single address.

Some kind of support for multiple wallets/addresses is planned for the future but I think not in the first release, so yes you will have to handle that yourself.
