Tried to make a loan offer and got error "loan must be 5% or lower". Cheesy

Code:
My Open Loan Offers
Coin Rate        Amount           Duration Auto-renew     Date
XMR 5.0000%          450           2 Days   Off         2016-03-19 17:48:4

And whats with this 2 day minimum? Guess it's not really a free market over there.

it's to ensure the shorters can have a chance of making money before having to close their position.  anyway... if u are a megabull, just lend a lot, wait til its borrowed, then pump the market yourself, cancel your shorts and squeeze the shorters into buying higher.  really evil but given the relatively illiquid markets at polo you only need a few $100k usd to pull this off in a big way.  #freemarketftw

It's more of a "Fuck You" to the retards on that list. I'm no whale.

Guess I could have been if there had been a usd/xmr pair a few weeks ago but I'm not one for waiting when I decide to do something.

Back to 24? 32?

I have no clue where it's going. My day back from the casino I get some good entertainment! Cheesy

32 is way too ambitious but 25 will likely happen soonTM

edit. that lending rate is daily.  and polo takes 15% of your profit from the lending.  also, lending is not guaranteed to be safe. polo says that if the person borrowing defaults in a margin call bit their total account balance is below 0 after liquidation, the lender eats it.

Not sure, you could try of course.

It's not even possible to download it until you upgrade to Windows 10 Sad

I'll be out all day - but android / iOS versions in the future (I'm not as comfortable with those platforms, so it takes a bit longer).

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/4b36sa/mininero_windows_apps_on_microsoft_store/

is it compatible with wp7? i think i have one somewhere from a dev conference.

i think shorters feel very confident shorting at 300k+, because history has shown that price will retrace to 270ish. But I think this time it's going to be different. We will see

LOAN OFFERS Total: 51740.99914053 XMR

I vaguely recall them being over 100k this morning or last night. Anyone able to confirm this?

Also, rates are around 0.1%, which is quite high.

Well holy sh!t!   It was .01 and loaded a few hours ago.  I put some offers in the .1 - .25 range for 'later', and they are all out now.   Better put some bids out to buy them back and relend  Cheesy

Usually green candles increase the rates. The increase in the number of short positions is a bullish sign - after all the shorts need to be covered, and not just the principal but also the interest which will help Monero in the future at the cost of today's resistance. Also the current spot buyers probably get a good deal when the shorters bring liquidity to them.
That will create a business opportunity to Monero OTC sellers: price your sells at spot + 15 % premium, then just buy the coins from exchange for spot + 5 % by placing a big buy wall to which the shorters will dump and try to recover perhaps at spot or a bit below.

Looks like Monero is heading towards north pole. I hope it will not encounter too many polar bears though along the way to up.
The next stage from 0.003 to 0.004 might have some resistance but eventually the resistance can be overcome and left for good.

Some serious kinda pump this last hour or so since I woke up.  Wow.

Wow...and a change of 500 btc in the order book.

Dose walls, doe!

Most alts are up so its hard to say how much was XMR specific.

Regardless, after the official GUI comes out I think we may never see sub .003 prices again

Is there anyway to follow the development of the GUI?

info on the project github is here. feel free to contribute.  https://forum.getmonero.org/9/work-in-progress/2476/the-official-qt-gui-project

looks like a soft eta based on current development so far is some alpha version in a few weeks.

In response to the first poster:

There is no specific ETA. However, there is someone actively working on the GUI, see:

https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required/2476/the-official-qt-gui-project

His work and the activity can be followed on:

Hey guys,

I'm all new to Monero and also to mining - could you help me setting up my system to do some mining? Is there any tutorial? Apparently I'm too dumb to find one Sad

There is a mining thread here with some info: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/xmr-monero-mining-653467

There is also a help/getting started section on all the pools you can check out, for instance: http://minexmr.com/#getting_started

Or log onto freenode and ask for help in #monero or #monero-pools channels.
