Has anyone done an import (paper wallet) using the seed words into MyMonero?
I just tried, it asked me for the words, then it verified the 10 Monero fee, I accepted, then I came into an empty wallet.
How much time should it take to get the funds to appear in MyMonero?

Thx in advance,
IAS

have you ever recreated a wallet using the import from electrum seed on your home PC?

basically, the wallet has to refresh from blocktime 0, so right now mymonero's backend is scanning through the entirety of the blockchain looking for the inputs you own. This scanning can take A WHILE. I know my poor xeon core-architecture CPUs with a HDD can take HOURS to get me a syncd wallet.

So, it could be an hour, depending on how beefy the mymonero servers are. This amount of work is why it costs 10 xmr.

36 BTC volume on Poloniex? Come on Monerians, can't we do better than that?

Calm before the storm!

Yep. Buyers are scared yet and sellers are getting exhausted

The dump to 00196 wasn't actual human sellers, it was people getting margin called and stopped out (I know this for a fact)

can you explain how you know this? because you got margincalled yourself?

thx

best regards

yep someone hunted my position and then my sell order caused a cascade of calls.

So i was the one who started this dumping lol

Calm before the storm!

I still feel like as we get closer more people will start to think about our slowing emission schedule.

50% pre tail emission happening soon!

How is monero standing right now against other altcoins? in terms of money capitalization and general acceptance?

Because of xmt.to Monero has better acceptance than EVERY other alt coin. It is literally accepted at every bitcoin merchant right now.

xmr.to is easy to use. Check it out today!

Monero has actually held incredibly steady vs. USD over the last 6 months.  It's been at about 50 cents the whole time.

Better to use this (http://coincap.io/#/coin/xmr), the USDT/XMR pair is pretty illiquid resulting in many outliers and high volatility. I advice to just put your marker over the lines to see the price, because the legenda is a bit skewed and acting odd.

From the last time I checked the price, Monero has gone cheaper than ever. This could be a great opportunity to grow my stack of XMR even more  Roll Eyes

50 cent Monero today is cheaper than 50 cent Monero last month.

And yes, if it goes to 25 cents I will begin looking up kidney/XMR conversion rates.

I actually am saving my XMR to buy a kidney. But i will not need it so fast. Well, at least hope so.

Sounds like we have one more merchant finding customers in Monerosphere.
Pegasus is selling his kidney and Febo wants to buy it possibly from Pegasus.  Grin

His kidney will be way to old at time i will need it.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

the level is not yet reached where current holders step in big time.
Most know they will most likely be able to get it even cheaper if btc continues to fall more, which is what it most likely will do Smiley

dont know where that level is. 30 cents? 25?

i can only ask myself. if it goes to 0.25$? maybe i'll have to buy a shitload of it;D

its always depending on timeframe too ofc. if it goes to 0.10$? max yolo i guess Cheesy

I'll say this...I'm nearing my goal for XMR holdings. If it goes to $0.25 or $0.10, I'm going to 2-3X that goal.

To be perfectly honest(which I usually am) I'm waiting to get back in and the time is close to ripe. Pretty stupid saying that but what the hell it is 420. Cheesy
