do you guys think that BTCP (co-fork of ZCL and BTC) could have any impact on Monero? By impact I mean BTC holders that want to invest in a privacy coin could potentially prefer BTCP to Monero due to its name

Optional privacy with flawed Snarks? Yea not concerned.

still so much negativity everywhere about bitcoin price... i hope the market can go north again during the first 6 months of this year. if not , i guess we wont see 1000 this year

There was an article on zerohedge this morning about how robinhood has more than a million people on their waiting list to use their soon to be crypto trading platform. It's looking like this could be almost another coinbase worth of fresh capital coming into the sector.

2019 is my earliest target anyway.

Just look at the emissions curve, then consider the features in the pipeline. Etc.

People calling 267 failing are weird.

Its comfortably above any kind of hold/sell level of the past. And we been around that to 28 for weeks.

I feel so unworried, I don't get it.

Someone mentioned this before and it was eyeopening for me. It's all about what price you bought in at. You and I glob probably bought in at single or double digit prices. It's easy for us to just sit back, relax and ignore the screaming children. But its different for people who paid 300 400 or heaven forbid almost 500 dollars.
But nowadays you don't just add a few dozens of Monero to your portfolio anymore, at least not me..
that does not make any sense

its not about the moneros you add but about how much you are willing to stake.

previous movements shouldnt be a concern of yours. either you buy in and take the risk or you dont. that was no different when the price was lower.

Exactly, you guys go way back far enough not to make a loss if the market would crash and lose 90% of it's value.

i think monero will do a high jump after this market crash. we trust monero, and it deserves better prices and better marketcap.

Amen, i could not agree more. It hurts to see it go down for now. But I really believe it will reach 1000 usd some day. Its not a question IF it will happen but WHEN
we all want to know this answer. when will it reach.
but  i'am sure it will be reach to 1000 usd.

Guys also please read this article. "When A Small Leak Sinks A Great Ship: Deanonymizing Tor
Hidden Service Users Through Bitcoin Transactions Analysis"
https://arxiv.org/pdf/1801.07501.pdf

The worst case plausible scenario for 1Kusd is 3 years.

Edit: in my humble opinion
