It told me I need to register if I want to read the article (even after I closed the popup). Stupid paywalls…
 Angry

A monthly subscription of $39 a month is required after reading a certain number of free articles.

Edit: Can it be found anywhere else?

How is ringct better than ct with mixing and stealth addrrsses? Hint its not

Hint - the whole chain is opaque not just some of it
Prove how ring sigs are better than tumblebit or valueshuffle. Only benefit I can see is that its done per node without external service although its not consensus driven so moot point. You are saying ct with mixing is not anon fully? How so?

One difference is the blockchain is opaque.  You can never know how much or how little I hold.  You can't see how much I send.  You can't see to whom I send it.  You cant see that something was sent at all.  You cant really even guess.  Everyone else's transactions are also private.  You can't even deduce or get a partial picture from a sybil attack.

Privacy is simple and baked in.  It's way better than optional, partial privacy.
Sorry you didnt answer my question.  You need to read my post more carefully.

[...]what for can a mobile wallet be usefull ? specific examples i need Smiley [...]

Pocket money. So you can actually use your moneros on the go instead of needing to be at home.
It is like having a quickly accessible photo camera on your mobile phone, instead of a high performance one but always in your desk's drawer.

now we can finally, on the spot, sell someone 5 usd of XMR without having to tell them they have to go home, log in their bank acct, and buy some bitcoin which they have to use to buy XMR. Which they never do because its too damn hard.
There are many people with small money interested in investing in XMR, it just need to be easy enough.

Localxmr.to could be out by end of June. With a mobile wallet, meeting someone to buy/sell XMR for cash will be easier. That should help increase the user base dramatically!

localxmr.to will be coming soon. Similar cash <> XMR trading as localbitcoins. Will allow people to obtain xmr
without ID
By soon i mean within 1-2 months. End of June is target

Yeah well, more news later this week as I said in this PM - we're currently reviewing a technical integration document that'll be published to get community feedback.

Curious... If ledger were to be able to get working code for xmr ready to go and be Ring CT compatible, will it be compatible with Trezor?  Or will it be closed sourced so only Ledger will technically be the only ones who will profit for a while.

I think I remember reading something were Trezor was potentially going to add xmr for their "trezor 2.0", and wouldn't be compatible with the first edition... or am I just making this up in my head completely? lol.

I wrote a letter to Riccardo Spagni (fluffypony), about the official support of the Monero Exchange poloniex.com, waiting for an answer.

I know the guys from Coinomi they are Greeks - I assure you they are doing their best and the product is high quality (monero is on their favorite list and I expect them to implement xmr very soon)!

This sounds like great news. Don't think i am stupid by asking this but i will ask anyway, what for can a mobile wallet be usefull ? specific examples i need Smiley

And how safe is it , do i upload small amounts onto my mobile account or is it directly connected to the gui wallet ?

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

It is claimed that Satoshi Nakamoto owns around 1 million bitcoins and he mined them when mining bitcoins was easy ("premine").
Well, if you want to call running masternode a ponzi, be my guest but in my opinion it is one way of mining coins. The coins need to be mined in one way or another in crypto.
You can buy many things with Dash as far as I know. I do not know how much it is used for buying goods/services, and that's up to the community what they within themselves want to buy/sell for Dash. Many want to speculate with the price increase and therefore are not too hesitant to use it but chose rather hold it for longer.

I normally don't quote or answer trolls but tell me o wise one how they were supposed to support the blockchain in it's infancy without mining it?
Do you even know why difficulty rises?
