How do you plan to compensate players?

Yolodice incentivized players to bet in volume in order to receive higher daily faucet amounts.

The players have completed their end of the bargain by wagering the volume related to their level and are due the relevant daily faucet.

That is the players money they have earned that.

How do you plan to compensate those players for money lost due to your decision to close the site?

Admin at YOLOdice.com - fast, fair, play/invest.
I have lowered the min withdrawal amounts at YOLOdice and I lowered the cost of BTC batch withdrawals yesterday (relative to instant withdrawals). Batch withdrawals will be sent less frequently, in max 24h. Still, the fees are quite high due to network congestion - there is not much I can do here. I can only advice that there ARE parts of the day when fees are lower.

Cheers,
Ethan

End of YD yes , but in every closing door there will be another to Open , I'm sure that the Team is considering another gambling related business and not just Dice game.
We do not know exactly how much Ethan has neither, that is going to be one of the most important factors moving forward. I remember when Erik sold satoshidice for 126k bitcoins (a whooping 6 billion now, about 70 million or so when he sold it) he didn't just take the money and left and retired in a small town farm or something, he took that money and built other things, none as profitable as that obviously but he did kept working and not years later neither he worked on new things almost instantly.

So, if Ethan came out of this with a bit of money, even if not that much, it means he is a person who knows crypto very well, has managed a very good business for 4 years and has money and connections, and since he built this website as well that means he either knows coding very well or people who know coding very well. Which is why I believe depending on few things, Ethan could start on a new project very soon.

That's true. Although I have earned nowhere near 126k BTC, I can start thinking about funding a new project. The way I work is I usually do most of the initial prototyping (or even the whole project, as with YD) and this has at least 2 great benefits: 1. it can cut costs dramatically, 2. it gives me enough expertise to be in full control of what's going on.

So yeah, not doing anything is tempting and I could probably afford it, but where's the fun?

Right now I've started learning Rust extensively and I'm looking at Polkadot ecosystem - from the info I've gathered going through several coins it's the technology with the greatest potential in the crypto world, plus their ecosystem seems quite reasonably prepared for growth. It's something I can easily say "I like it". The question remains: what can WE do with it :-)

Cheers,
Ethan

The truth is yolodice team have tried after running the site for four year they are still able to come out to inform users and giving time for fund to be withdraw thanks team I will continue to use bustadice to play from now going forward.
The site was very successful in that 4 years, they are closing due to the personal issues because it is getting more stressed to keep involved in the development all the time. They gave enough time and also changed the withdrawal system for better convenience than before.

So today is the last date to withdrawal the funds from the site and we will not be able to access the yolodice from tomorrow 1st March. They have provided so good service for the last 4 years. I wish them best of luck for their future endeavors.
AFAIK, it is not possible to place any bets since March 1st but the site can be accessed for the account holders to withdraw the funds and close their invested amount until March 15, after that it is possible to withdraw only by contacting them via  [email protected]
Seems like there are only 17 open investment left out of that 18k overall which means majority of investors had pull out their funds.

They do still have 10+ days more to successfully withdraw. Its sad to see another good dice site to close its doors.

I am quite surprised by the amount of positive feedback I am getting. I've been trying to run YD the best I could, but still I am astonished by some feedback I am getting. It's awesome. Looks like we really made a difference in the crypto-gaming world!

You actually deserve on getting compliments or positive feedbacks since everyone do able to see on what you had done on giving out some nice an fair experience with playing in YD.

Whatever reason you do have on such closure then we would definitely respect it and wish you luck into the things that you had in mind.

The community will not really forget for this such great site's existence.  Kiss

So this is the end. I successfully closed all my investments and withdrew the funds to my wallet. I've only been a recent member of YOLOdice, and I'm really sad to see you go. As far as I'm concerned, you were one of the most reliable crypto casinos out there.

Thank you so much for all the fun!  Wink

Part of the investment is to Lose or win , its just happen that You lose mate .

But anyway Time has come , just few more days and the History of YoloDice will finally close to an end.
Honestly casino investment as a regular person has always been a bit of a difficult thing to do, not just in just-dice or yolodice but definitely something that is difficult to handle for a regular person because those ups and downs are double down as well.
and this is the best example in which will probe how hard to invest in gambling sites

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/snipies-gambling-investment-test-5254959
The OP @snipie had indicated everything with transparency and clarity every movement of His investment to show everyone how can this run and how to end.

Maybe it is enough that people now see its difficulties and risks.
At the end of the day if we are not going to make a good amount of profit when we risk it, and the only thing we get is "small amount of profit or a 2 year profit wipe out at any moment" obviously it is a very difficult decision to end up investing.

I am not saying it is a bad decision to invest into casino because bankrolls are usually profitable considering "house always wins" is something true based on the house edge, but when you look at all the investments, there is rarely anything that bothers me with this situation, so at the end of the day I realized that the best thing I can do is stay away but also support the idea of it, I am not against it and I support anyone that wants to invest into casinos, but I will not do it myself, didn't do it here, will not do it somewhere else neither.

I also support Ethans decision as well because I feel like even thought it was a good project, it really didn't look like it worth the effort.

If you were able to follow their post related to the site's closing, we can fairly say that there is a plan but not a priority to them, for now.

Let them just focus on what they want to do and we should not ask them about their future plans. Smiley

Goodluck Ethan!

Aite then, I'll wish the same for him too Smiley

Two things I cannot possibly forget from the very first part of 2021: Daft Punk splitting a few weeks ago after decade of great innovative music and also YOLOdice suspending its service today.
Now this is the dream: a new Daft Punk reunion concert the day that YD will come back up!
Fare you well.

Thank You @ethan_nx, one of the promising and trusted casino owners! Though I'm not so much fan of YOLOdice but I've seen its many campaigns which were long run until the last moment of the casino. Even you closed the Business but you makes it more transparent and trustworthy, where most of the casinos are trying to go away with people's money. You are a piece of Example, we need more people like you in this Business.
Again, thank you @Ethan for your great and unique service, Best of Luck.  Smiley

Oh yea, i can't deposit right now nor playing.
How if after march 15th, there are few people who don't withdraw their coin yet from yolodice? You know maybe there are few people who don't really checking their investment regularly and just invest then leave it for longterm

Instead, YD did stay in the online dice game for years and I haven't heard any accusations and I did play in your site early around 2017 if I'm not mistaken and I have a good experience.

And as others have seen, you early established yourself in this niche that's why the positive feedback and I would say that you really made a difference, so good luck in your future endeavor.

Jack of all trades 💯

interesting you say that cause I thought I remember clam going from like .0001 btc to over .01 btc at one point plus staking I mean if you played it out right could have made more than a few bucks

*and yeah LTC got hit super hard Sad

Yeah, the problem is that I bought those CLAMS high. I don't remember the exact numbers but I lost like 70% even considering casino profits. And well, it could have been worse as it has kept on dropping.

Maybe it is enough that people now see its difficulties and risks.

Many always think about if you can't beat the house join them that's why many think about possible good earnings if they invest with the house. We know how big risk for investing it but I think it's still good compare to think about investing on hyip or others where we cannot assure that we will get our profits.

Maybe on next time around for this events people now can decide if it's really worth to invest on gambling site or not.
