Your favorite altcoins to hold for 2017 and why?
I hold some of my favorite coins. with the hope that this coin will be great in the future. that is the plan of every investment that I do, always hold and wait its value to be great.
I did like litecoin wich reached 0,02 btc this year as well doge wich reached 120 satoshis and the other one i did liked were waves did like the concept how it works and rewards as well, its a very nice system with smart contracts as eth and more safe and decentralized.
Ethereum and litecoin are my favourite alt coins this year there is potential in both of them for the future. All that is needed is for big business to allow everyday purchases in crypto currency.
The altcoins I hold are ethereum, I believe eth has excellent potential. in the future maybe the price will improve and so high.
Ethereum surely do have a good potential and it is one coin to really watch out for. I believe in the next few months and years it would be a coin worth holding. It has been dishing out some pushy vibes and the innovative idea is so much good for it. 
I THINK My favorite altcoins are bitcoin.

i really like DMD (Diamond). High staking reward compared to other altcoins. Low coincap compared to other altcoins. Did quite well in the last couple of months.
Every coins are good thanks to bitcoin pump 
Unfortunately, not all coins respond to the bitcoin pump as some are just so dead, although very few. It is funny however how bitcoin usually have so much great effect on other altcoins. Now with the market shooting up proportionally to bitcoin pumping up, then my bitcoin is still the best. However, STRAT, NEO and some other few coins still do have great prospects and they are worth buying.

Ethereum is my favorite altcoin, i love this coin because their adaptation skill was very high. They can know how to handle the problem in any situation in crypto currency world. Therefore, developers of this coin was not stop developed the ethereum because they believe that in the future they can have a possibility to replace the position of bitcoin.
what about ETHD, ELIX, ETN, VIBE? Do they worth to hold?

I don't know what coins to hold this year. I want to hold waves and dash coins but I am not sure if they will continue to rise up in the future. i am holding eth, mne, storj and onions at the moment. I sometimes participate in trading. I want to invest in another coin that can be of good growth for 2018 but I don't know what is it yet.

My favorite altcoin in 2017? I think I will keep my point, Ethereum is my choice. Ethereum is growing rapidly, its market capitalization is quite high, and in the electronic money world it just behind Bitcoin, even now, it exceeds Bitcoin Cash. Its value is also growing at an unmatched price, its current price is approximately $ 300, is also quite high. Eth also plays an important role in applications such as trend analysis, decentralized markets, cross-border payment services, electronic signatures in transactions, digital rights management, crowfunding and more, that's it. I believe Eth will thrive in the future
