My first bitcoin came as salary. I got that for writing articles. That's 2014. To be true, actually, I got my first bitcoin from faucets. But you know it was nothing that time.  But my real bitcoin came from an article writing job.
This is very interesting because I was very new member here, and I have chance to join one gambling site for giveaway I start from Dice game which give me very good wins back to back I was shell shocked because I was not sure if they will give this amount or not, but I was playing flawlessly as I reach 4 bitcoin amount I stop this game and click on withdrawal button which give me message please check your email for confirmation. After few hours I receive my email and confirmed but after few hours they send me another email system is in trouble, so we can't send you 4 bitcoins I received just 2 after few days this site was not up because due to some internal issues they face big loses, so they have to stop this all.

From a logo I designed for a tech store, one of the earliest logos I made, they told me to buy a hardware wallet or just register for a digital wallet, I was aware of Bitcoin that time, the only thing is I don't know how mining and trading works that time, but I did made a logo for this small hardware tech company, after a few revamps, they were finally satisfied and when satisfaction is gained, the reward is given  Grin , I received $30 for that design in Bitcoin, stupid of me to withdraw it without holding, I was literally a newbie in Bitcoin that time, so I wasn't totally aware of the word hodling that time.

my first bitcoins came from campaigning in this website, but sadly i got scammed and made all my hard earned coins and altcoins go to waste. now im campaigning again to earn a little bit and maybe trade so that i can recover some of the money that got scammed from me. but nonetheless that experience gave me knowledge on how to defend myself from that kind of scams again.

In the past, I used to hunt for faucets on the gambling sites of my choice, and often I got rain from chatting, got tips from some users, because in the past some of the gambling sites I chose were still very generous, and often I did WD without having to more gamble on those sites with that faucet.
And the most important and giving more impression is working in the signature campaigns, from the results of working on the signature campaigns.. I save it and hold some of my Btc payments that I got from 2017, and I invested until this year, well it feels amazing, it feels my hard work has paid off with a big income Smiley

I never bought my first bitcoin. I earned my bitcoin through a bounty campaign and signature campaign. That was 3 years ago. I sold 60% of it and keep the remaining 40%.

I tried earning bitcoin through faucets, but I never had the chance to withdraw it because it requires withdrawal fees. I've wasted my time thinking I could earn bitcoin, and it was just purely a scam.

the first i ever gotten bitcoin without counting faucets was from Direcbet prediction thread where they announce a match and you post you correct score prediction, but you had to be quick, they were giving away 0.01 BTC at that time for the winner, now it seems too crazy to be true, but i made bitcoin from there and it was just the beginning.

I don't believe sites like Faucet , they claim free cryptocurrency first and then need a lots of withdraw fees . My first earning bitcoin comes from Bounty campaign sponsored by Yahoo .
Wayback on where faucets are something worth of but depending on the coins you've been claiming.I do remember up those days on where you could really get some ETH which i could say

thats one of the great things i did able to get on faucet since i do able to held it off for a long time until this very moment. So speaking with my first bitcoins came from is i do simply bought it

when HYIP and PONZI are the main hype wayback but getting or earning is really also got for signature campaign too.

If you don't believe it, just ignore it. It is not a must to join Faucet. People who can earn a good number of Bitcoin from Faucet, probably got it several years ago. Now, we rarely saw Faucet that offers worthed rewards. Faucet days may be already over, choose another way to earn Bitcoin.

My first earning bitcoin comes from Bounty campaign sponsored by Yahoo .
What campaign did you join? I joined social media campaign. But I got only a small number of Bitcoin. I don't think it is worthed enough.

Bitcoin Casino Est. 2013
Did someone realize that this thread is 5+ years old and has now be reactivated just to answer a question which got asked thousand times since then?
~snip
Let me answer this as well because I haven't been able to answer it since this thread was created.  lol Well, there's nothing weird about how I got my first Bitcoin, it's not Bitcoin but just satoshis.  Like most who started here on the forum, it came from the signature campaign way back in 2016. And I immediately converted it to fiat to test if it is true that BTC has value as a currency.

But back to the actual topic: I got my first Bitcoin very early (around end 2011) for completing a little programming job for someone in the community. It was a simple script someone required and he paid me a couple of Bitcoins (not exactly sure how much, but it was like 5+ Bitcoins). Today they would be worth a fortune  Grin

I got my first coins from bounty campaign tokens (received tokens and converted them to BTC and ETH). And back then (2017), it was possible to get some sizable reward from bounty campaigns. The situation got worse by mid-2018, when the failure rate reached 95%. Fortunately I had enough activity and rank by then to join signtaure campaigns that made the payment in Bitcoin. Even then, I was earning only around $10 per week from these campaigns. And then the exchange rates increased in 2020/21. $10 worth of Bitcoin in 2018 is worth $200 in 2021.

Revolutionized copy gaming platform
Aside from faucets that I have participated along with online gambling platforms, the first BTC that I’ve earned was from a freelance writing gig where I am paid $20 worth of Bitcoin per article. It was a short term project though, but that really kickstart my crypto journey and the rest is history.

My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.

How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

This is strange. I was also part of the Primedice signature campaign, and used to earn really good amounts (1-2 BTC per month) before they restricted the campaign to just staff members. But my first coins came in 2012. And if I remember correctly, they came from a few give-away campaigns in this forum. And by the end of 2012, I purchased my first coins (I guess the price was around $10 per coin back then). There were a few other sources, such as Rugatu and Bittrivia, which used to tip BTC0.01 or so every now and then. I guess I earned 2-3 BTC from Rugatu alone.

I remember purchasing some bitcoin then even without knowing what it was. I remember that a friend then spoke to me about a certain scheme called "zarfund" that the currency used was something called bitcoin that we had to purchase with fiat, we later found out that this scheme was a ponzi because it quickly followed after the fall of MMM Ponzi. But on the platform then was were i had my first bitcoin that amounted to 0.03btc then, we were expecting it to grow through crowd funding, so i never secured it. Unfortunately i lost it all when the website suddenly went offline, this was sometime in 2016.

Sheeesh, people already joining signature campaigns since the forum inception and earning big BTCs.

Well, I got mine from laptop mining but didn't know what I was actually mining.

EDIT: Wait what, some people necro-ed this thread since 2016...

Welcome back 🙏
My first bitcoin came from one of the signature campaign. That was very happy moment when I received the little amount into my wallet. This amount has now become high as I have been continuously saving it without doing exchange for local currency.
