It's shameful when gambling takes everything from you, but it's not shameful when you make $1 million dollars as a gambler, I know someone who was hated for been a gambler, family members cut themselves off this person and after few years later this person became so successful with gambling, now the relatives can't even go back to claim him as their own.

I am not saying that gamblers should be an addict because they can become a millionaire some day, I am only saying that anything is possible, I choose to be responsible with gambling because I never expected much from gambling and I have seen a lot of people that are ruined because of their gambling habit, my advice is we gamblers need to be careful with gambling, avoid getting too attached with gambling.

Families should come first over everything, make sure that the decisions you make won't affect them, true be told, if your own child tell you that they believe in gambling you will never feel right about it, you will always be in worries, the only thing that can make me leave behind a relative is if they don't support my vision, not like gambling, but something that I believe will work well for me in future, and the reason why I will choose to stay away is for my own good, to stay focus and not get distracted by them.

You have indeed made alot of point but I disagree about Gambliing addict affecting your relatives. I believe that what ever a man does will surely affect him and him alone. No doubt, the family will receive humiliation about how addicted one can be but I really think the gambler has alot to face. The consequences of excessive gamble will not only affect his current situation but his future, social life, religious life, educational reputation and loose family respect. And sometimes finds it difficult to find a partner for marriage. All this circles around him and not his relatives.

I am always aware of this, especially with the emotional fluctuations. When you lose, you get easily angry and I have kids so controlling it is necessary or else my family will hate me if I take out all my hatred in gambling with them. That's not fair for those people who are near you.

First of all, I cannot see the point why relatives would sue the gambling provider 'coz the man in particular was so irresponsible as a gambler. If the Casino is registered then there's nothing to be worried of, in their end. They are a running business and they cannot choose among people who will they allow to play on their platform and who won't be; they will accommodate all players since they forced no one to engage to them in the first place. Quite of a bad solution I guess; the relative should have just focused with their relative's problem and recovery of addiction than to use money and time to something which is obvious. In the case of reporting the gambling shop to the authorities if they allow him to gamble at their place again, I don’t think that is possible because if he is not violating their rules of gambling, he won’t be stopped from gambling and the family wont have a case against the gambling shop owners. It is only when he is not up to the age of gambling that they can sue the gambling company for allowing an underage to place a bet with them.
