Gambling addiction isn't something that can be stopped in just a day because its not easy to stop gambling addiction just at once, its a habit that have been accumulated over a very long period of time and series of continuous indulging in the habit and so it becomes some thing that cannot be stopped in a day just at once, if a gambling addict is really willing to stop or get out of the addiction, its very much achievable and such that they can really get to achieve  over time and not just a day or week or even in some cases in months. Been careful gambling is very relative because sometimes you may even try to be careful and still be addicted because you want to recover that which you got to loss gambling all the while. The effect therein at your relatives and those around you isn't such that will definitely be much that you cannot control if you really want to, mostly in the aspect of your finance and you attitude   to things which eventually the point at which it will get to affect your relatives the most and those whoa re around you but then you will just try not to get them involved especially when they entrust their funds to you you make sure not  to use it to gamble or something that will eventually become such that they will not be able to bear and become affected badly

I think this is becoming a norms in our society where people gamble recklessly and the relatives threaten the gambling operators for their ward irresponsibility. To me, this is purely unfair to operators and a trample to their business. These people are just running a business and should not be hold responsible for anyone's recklessness. Instead of threatening the gamble operators, they should rather caution their own ward who's addicted to gambling to stay away from gambling.

Where I reside currently, gambling operators are not allowed to open shop even after obtaining their license from the appropriate authorities but the community stop them from carrying out their operations simply because they believe their children will get addicted to it. Gambling is not for immature kids, it's for people above 18 years who are believed to have known what is good for them and which is not good. I have never seen where operators force people to play games, people willingly walk into their shops to play on their own. The relatives have no legal right to threatened the operator but he has the right to sue the relatives for threatening his business.

Small bets are also something that would prolong your gambling and the more that you're gambling then the more you're exposed to susceptibility of addiction, got to understand that sometimes the one that you think is going to hurt you the least has the most damage that they might do in the long-term. I think passion is the right word for that, it's too profound for something like gambling which isn't really that helpful to someone, it's more of a habit rather than passion, I don't know how you can be passionate about gambling.

If that happens, not takes too long, this gambler will stop and instead of gambling, he will just become a holder or investor. Later on, he thought that gambling was a threat to himself. But I don't think that really happens and I'm sure this is not also the case happen to you. You just think of the best approach after making some (big) mistakes and realize that you are doing wrong. There is no doubt in this as it stand to be true, most relative always watch people around them and ahead of them to be a mirror before them it's either you influence them positively or negatively, if the addiction is beyond control it may be of negative one to relative as the are going to fall into the addiction without control, one having people around him need coordinate itself in anything apart from gambling to to know that anything he does around where relative are emulating from him.

If he wins much money let say $50k and teach his friend playing gambling but his friend can't wins the same or only wins less than him, his friend will be angry and will asks him to teach more about gambling. His friend will jealous and will not accept the reality and that can makes their relationship disturb. We don't knows if that's really happens out there but I think that could be happens.

You can teach your friends about gambling but you must explaining that playing gambling doesn't makes you rich or wins much money because gambling needs to have luck. You and your friends can only playing gambling to fills your spare time and not makes money and they don't have to insist to still playing gambling and trying to wins the games. If you and your friends understand about that, you will enjoy your gambling activity with your friends.

You are right I agree with you most of the parents give phone tab laptop etc to keep kids busy which is harmful for kids. Most of the kids are so addicted to this phone that they almost forget about sports when they go out. Always busy with the phone thus looking at the phone sometimes causes so much trouble to their eyes that they have to wear glasses at a young age. We must draw the attention of our parents to this matter. If not, our future generations will be under threat. What happens to most of the parents is that both the parents are busy with work and cannot give proper time to the child, then the child is given a phone or a tab to pretend to play. busy with Thinking about our future generation, we should refrain from giving phones to children so that their future develops well and eye problems do not arise at a young age.

If a gambler can follow as you have mentioned then the person will not take any high risk as a result the person will be able to save his/her fund as well as the person will be able to avoid any type of misdeed of the person and his family as well as relatives.

It is best to think twice before engaging in anything that you can't handle, a person needs to be responsible and know how to manage his actions and his money in order to prevent falling into things like that affecting your closest ones and making them worry for you.

It's better if we look at ourselves first before we continue, think twice, or even three times because it's difficult to identify if we are addicted or not. Truly, it could affect everyone in your circle. Friends. When you are borrowing money from them, they can become an outcast to you. Relatives. The same, when you are gambling way too much, they might see you as a busy person not because of work but because of your bad habit and so they will also stay away and let you do what you want.
There are so many things that could happen once we dip deeper (no pun intended) into gambling and we must have a clear mind of what is happening to our environment to prevent the people we love from going far from us.

One thing I understand on gambling is to be careful and do the right things for yourself and make the right decision, gambling is something that has to be done properly with a lot of understanding to avoid problems with other people around you and relatives, I don’t really have much to talk about this topic, but if the only thing i will advise is to stop gambling addiction because it would take you something that will effect your life in a different way and it will be a problem

Gambling is a two edged sword, if you make it and turn out to be profitable everyone calls you the family hero, but when it goes the other side of debt and everything that comes with a losing gambler, you certainly become the Villian and nobody wants to side with you

But judging from the information given, this gambler didn't start this habit from without... AFAIK someone should have been funding his pleasure if not someone senior from the family is a big time gambler and this is where the traits come from..like they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree 🌲 and this could be the case here!!

Secondly, I think this persons case isn't being handled the right way and this usually happens from entitled backgrounds which I think they should find other means to address this problem to help this person ASAP .

Its very disappointing that gambling can end a relationship that has been there for a long time. I can imagine you know! But let me get this thing straight here, i dont see any reason that would make someone's fried get angry for teaching him how to gamble. If he had won so much in gambling and didn't introduce his friend it is certain that his friend would be so angry at him for not showing his way of making money. Let me say he won 50k dollars from betting and now he is rich asf. His friends would hate him for not showing his the right path to make money, so if he his friends would fee that way then they do not have to feel back if they lose in gambling.

If am such a person, i would make sure i teach my friends the first rules of gambling which is risk. I would make them know that gambling involves risk and anyone can either lose or win. If they win they rejoice if they lose they bear the consequences. It would be wrong if  assure them that they will always wn.

This can happen because some people don't think long and hard when they do something they are influenced by a deep curiosity. In the end, they try to do it over and over again until they get involved in gambling irresponsibly. When addiction has penetrated a gambler's life, it will be much more difficult for them to be advised and they will never listen to the advice of other people, including their immediate family.

That's why we have to teach education about gambling to family, children and close relatives so that they know the impact of irresponsible gambling. Now it is so easy to recognize gambling because technology has developed so much, but we need to control it so that they are not involved further.

There is a very Common mistake of parents who have small children and that is to give them cell phones and PCs to entertain themselves, but I do not Agree , first their vision will be distorted, they will start running. get out of there. I kind of disagree on your opinion there. It does not matter where one lives or whether gambling is legal or outlawed in such country, there will be always a percentage of people who has become addicted to wagering their money. The only difference or the most significant difference between an illegal and a legal gambling markets is that the government of those countries where casinos are legal, benefit from taxes, while in the countries where gambling is illegal, those benefiting from the casinos are criminals and associations which are very dangerous ... typical mafias and syndicates.

Though, You are approaching the problem within a very societal perspective, and since I am from the west (where most countries do not have laws against gambling and betting) I admit it would be easiy for me to create an opinion from my personal bias.

By the way, I could bet there are gambling addicts in countries where the Sharia Law is strictly applied.

Many many people are addicted to gambling. Gambling is a social virus that drastically damages social life including family and relatives' lives. Also, it harms the nearest friends' lives. Gambling not fame for livinghood. It's a different way to earn money that does not stay long.
