Destined to fail.

What's the most important for a crypto coin?
It's decentralized and anti-censor.

Who are the teams behind Facebook's Liba?
Facebook, paypal,Mastercard, Visa, eBay ,Stripe and other fully centralized financial institutions

All these centralized founder members are not anti-censor,and will have to choose comprise when pressure from Gov,so the Libra group will collapse eventually.

And recently, many members choose to quit the Libra including paypal, mastercard, visa, ebay, strip, this exactly reflect the importance of decentralization and anti-censor.These companies have to choose quit for business survive.

Why (Almost) Everybody Hates Facebook’s Digital Coin

Facebook Inc.’s plan to create a digital currency, Libra, is a big idea.

Now it is too early to talk about the prospects of this project. I've never seen a Facebook ad about Libra. I think that it will be possible to make a decision when Facebook personally announces the release of its own cryptocurrency. At the moment, all the news that we see are fakes or unfounded. Don't believe anyone but the source.

Yes Facebook announced its coin caller Libra. Its good to see big giant companies are up to blockchain and crypto. If Libra comes many general people will enter this crypto space. But the problem with Libra is its a centralized coin.

Facebook actually created the cryptocurrency, I heard that news on tv and identified it in the newspaper. It is good news for me because it will have a good impact on cryptocurrencies in general or bitcoin in particular in my opinion. Also, I really hope Facebook does well on this campaign so that people can use cryptocurrencies extensively, have a better view of cryptocurrencies that it is legal, not a scam... Grin
Facebook will not succeed in what they are doing for a while. They need the Government to confirm their actions first.
Facebook has abused its knowledge of the confidential information of its users many times and therefore I do not trust it. I would prefer that such a global stable coin be issued by a state or group of states. It seems to me that even a similar Chinese CBDC coin will be more reliable. It seems to me that transferring global financial stability to private hands is unreasonable.

Facebook coins will influence old investor confidence and attract new investors. Facebook is the biggest social media platform at the moment and I think if Facebook issued its own crypto, this would be free advertising for the cryptocurrency market

not only investor i think, but also people that not use or aware about cryptocurrent. facebook have a lot of user and it can hit the market, make  vibrate on some coin, or maybe the price will be overprice. just wait for the future, it will explode or just word

Same as before when the age of those scammy ICOS were taking over their social network. A lot of advertisements from scam ICOS were reported before they stopped allowing it. I haven't seen a type of Libra ad too but it looks like these people have found it on themselves and there's probably a specific country or algorithm that shows their ads. Like if you type crypto or search it on the network, you'll be saved for those ads that are dedicated to target people that typed the similar keywords or near to that.

Facebook has not advertised Libra Coin maybe because it has not been permitted by regulators. If permitted, I think Libra Coin would have great liquidity because Facebook users come from various countries and this could be the opening act of global adoption.
They have already announced that launching will be by 2020 probably around 1st quarter. And the hearing that they have right now is to verify things that are too complicated to the gov't.

It does not matter if they announced it or not. Some huge companies might leave Libra Association, and FB can have too many problems.

The leaders of these companies like Visa believe that Facebook misled them about how easily its cryptocurrency could pass the regulatory review. Now that it is being criticized not only in the US but around the world, they do believe that their association with Libra may cause them to be isolated.

GlobalCoin is coming. What are your thoughts on this new Facebook-made altcoin? What have you heard about it?

with facebook coin disbursement, it will have a positive impact on cryptocurency ... facebook is a trusted social media that has a big influence on cryptocurency ... but if anyone thinks that facebook coin will defeat bitcoin then I will answer that it will never happen and facebook coin will not be able to be done .
Facebook is not trusted. Look at what happened to cambridge analytica. They need to get that fixed before doing any banking.

Facebook says Libra is out of its control. But Libra's overseers are a web of Silicon Valley insiders

Facebook's (FB) answer to those criticisms is the Libra Association, a group the company says is an independent, Switzerland-based organization that will govern the digital currency.

I've read just yesterday that regulators’ reactions to Facebook’s bold invention are so dull that even the tech company itself is starting to question the viability of it. Moreover, lawmakers in the USA and France have called for the project to be halted. So, I am not sure that Libra will be launched in 2020.

Of course it has a very good impact on the cryptocurrency market. As we know that Facebook is a big company, if they have seen the potential of cryptocurrency. Then most likely other big companies will overtake making their respective currencies with the unique utility of what they offer. The bright future of us will come shortly!!

Facebook is a multibillion dollar company and is traded on the stock market with the best reputation in the world. I think if Facebook issues Libra Coin, investor confidence in the cryptocurrency market will increase and will also invite large investors to trade on the cryptocurrency market.

EU and Libra: Facebook’s Project Gets Challenged as ‘EuroCoin’ Looms

The ripples of the Libra effect are beginning to lap against the shores of Europe, with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire suggesting that Europe should throw its hat into the ring and launch its own digital currency. Le Maire’s announcement comes at a time when EU politicians are becoming increasingly vocal about Libra and digital currencies in general.
