I like Libra coin idea. You probably do not understand that it will help cryptocurrency adoption. Facebook will offer Libra and other cryptocurrencies to almost 2 billion people! That is 200 times more users that we currently have.
I think the first impression of Facebook's Libra is that there are many large organizations and big companies involved in developing it. But at the present time Libra is having a hard time being obstructed by the rules, I think it cannot launch as planned or worse be canceled.

They are not in the intention to defeat bitcoin here, they are joining because they know that there are a lot of money to be made here. Crypto is slowly going mainstream, and with their huge funding, they find this as a business opportunity rather than to become a bitcoin competitor. And besides the major difference is that Libra is fully centralise.
It's a very smart move. And in my opinion it's a plus for crypto in general since all of facebook users will get familiar with it. So everything that helps in promoting crypto is a good thing!

Recently, I men very curious information. There are rumors in the cryptocurrency world that in fact, the Facebook Libra is a special plan for the United States to push 2 billion social network users to deal with the digitized dollar. Then, the money they exchange for tokens will be poured into US government debt bonds, and thereby they will support the country in anticipation of the impending financial crisis.
The whole concept of a coin / currency being controlled by a organisation or a group of organisation sounds.so.wrong and against decentralization so it's we stay out of it and don't encourage this.

I know their cryptocurrency is also going to serve as payment, but I really doubt if their main goal is to make it a global currency, I am suspecting that they only created that coin to be used within their community and government must have felt threatened because they have a very large community base, which may make the coin eventually become like a currency among themselves.

My possible thought about this Libra coin is that, it will help grow the community and bring in more adoption to the cryptocurrency world, and if this is archive they price of the coins and tokens will soar higher than expected. With the launch if this Facebook Libra coin, Bitcoin will be the most beneficial coin to first experience the impact of Libra if approve and launch next year 2020. Although many Huddle's are going to come toward the launch but if scale through these Huddle's from the government, it will be a remarkable time in the world of cryptocurrency.

The Facebook global coin is a very good development and that explains why it's been making so much Waves in the cryptocurrency space. In fact the news of Facebook coin had an impact on the coin market cap upon its arrival. In my opinion, Facebook coin would contribute to the mass adoption of cryptocurrency.
I have heard that Facebook has announced to launch its stablecoin called Libra. But following the US's reservation, the Facebook's decision to launch the digital coin has put on hold for the time being. I think Facebook will satisfy regulators before launching its digital coin.
Everybody should stay away from btc projects. They track every your step and selling every bite of information

The takeaway:

In my opinion, the Facebook global coin would contribute to the mass adoption of cryptocurrency. I only hope that the United States government don't kill the initiative with the imposition of laws which would restrict Facebook from completing the project.
I agree, with members spread all over the world, Libra coin becomes one of the coins that can be adopted for transactions between Facebook members. In addition, with many partnerships with master cards or visas, it will make it easy for holders to transact at merchants or restaurants.
