I think the first impression of Facebook's Libra is that there are many large organizations and big companies involved in developing it. But at the present time Libra is having a hard time being obstructed by the rules, I think it cannot launch as planned or worse be canceled.

Therefore, Libra will work with many national currencies. The list of them has been already published - and it has become the greatest news for these days. They will not deal with Chinese money. However, Euro, Japanese and Singapore money will be presented (7-18%), and 11% is given to British pound. At the same time, China is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency in the nearest time.

Due to the large number of users on their Facebook, this is a big problem that Facebook is facing, because if many people use Facebook's cryptocurrency, I am sure the financial economy will be greatly affected. .
That is why it is undergoing many hearings and until now the project has not been officially launched. Do people think like me?

Facebook Set on 2020 Launch for Libra, Despite Regulators’ Pushback

David Marcus, the head of Calibra at Facebook, has said that a 2020 launch for Libra remains the company’s goal, despite regulators’ intense hostility toward the project.

For me, I feel that 2020 is still too long for the project to be launched and anything could happen before then, and I also feel that there is enough chance for the governments of the world to gather against the Libra.

If Facebook was serious, they should not have even giving them that breathing space, because one thing that I know is that no matter how rich or how important you are in the society, there is no way that you can fight government and I can see that government of solid nations are already rising against the cryptocurrency of Facebook, and I doubt if Facebook can survive this before the 2020 because the heat will start getting much and now that even the united states is not in support of the Libra coin also, but because the project is coming from their country, they are just watching to see how things will unfold also.

Same as before when the age of those scammy ICOS were taking over their social network. A lot of advertisements from scam ICOS were reported before they stopped allowing it. I haven't seen a type of Libra ad too but it looks like these people have found it on themselves and there's probably a specific country or algorithm that shows their ads. Like if you type crypto or search it on the network, you'll be saved for those ads that are dedicated to target people that typed the similar keywords or near to that.

Facebook has not advertised Libra Coin maybe because it has not been permitted by regulators. If permitted, I think Libra Coin would have great liquidity because Facebook users come from various countries and this could be the opening act of global adoption.
They have already announced that launching will be by 2020 probably around 1st quarter. And the hearing that they have right now is to verify things that are too complicated to the gov't.

A lot of fake Libra are being made by fraudsters. Beware!
Trust Facebook? They Can’t Even Stop Fake Libra Ads on Their Platform
That's very poor internal control on fighting scams, I think they need to improve their control to prevent this scammy Libra advertisement.
It's their own system so they should have control of the advertisements that will come out in the platform, and we who knows the real status of the project should help maintain a good community free from scams, we should make an effort to report.

Actually I never see any kind of ads from Libra in my facebook account, maybe scammers are choosing a certain country to show their advertisement.
Hopefully people who are willing to invest will just make some research about the project so they will not fall for the wrong site.

Facebook actually created the cryptocurrency, I heard that news on tv and identified it in the newspaper. It is good news for me because it will have a good impact on cryptocurrencies in general or bitcoin in particular in my opinion. Also, I really hope Facebook does well on this campaign so that people can use cryptocurrencies extensively, have a better view of cryptocurrencies that it is legal, not a scam... Grin

Facebook coins will influence old investor confidence and attract new investors. Facebook is the biggest social media platform at the moment and I think if Facebook issued its own crypto, this would be free advertising for the cryptocurrency market

Either we hate or love it, Libra will become a free marketing for the cryptocurrencies to the whole world especially bitcoin. Just imagine all the millions of impatient millenials which are on the Facebook platform who just want to make easy money. They will discover bitcoin and invest in it whenever FB is making a huge advertisement on their coin Libra.

That is absolutely right, man. Currently, with 28 member companies of the Association, including such well-known companies as Visa, Paypal, MasterCard, and Uber, the Libra project plans to see a number of 100 companies next year. The Libra project has already received more than a hundred applications for joining the Association, while companies must maintain at least 10 million dollars.

German Gov’t Speaks Against Approval of Facebook’s Libra in Europe

"Up to now, the economy has done a great job in countering crises and inflation with measures taken by central banks. Once a digital currency provider dominates the market, it will be quite difficult for competitors."

There are a lot of red flags with this coin, the first being the centralized characteristic. I don’t understand why Facebook is selling the coin to only initial 100 investors instead of giving the power to the people. The other day I tried paying for ads on Facebook for my personal crypto apparel selling platform and I was rejected, making me question why they are even introducing the coin in the first place if they cannot advertise other crypto projects on their platform. My two cents on this is I will probably not use the coin unless it’s a matter of life and death.

I like Libra coin idea. You probably do not understand that it will help cryptocurrency adoption. Facebook will offer Libra and other cryptocurrencies to almost 2 billion people! That is 200 times more users that we currently have.
I'm with you, I'm pro Libra and I hope they will be able to launch the project free from regulatory problem, of course they need to comply the requirements and I hope the requirements is not hard enough for them to comply.

They were criticized by the corrupt government because they understand how big the coverage of facebook and it can disrupt the financial industry.
What would happen to banks, remittances when we can easily send money through facebook, that's the threat they are seeing.

The more the competition, the better to the economy of the world, but i think it would not compete with bitcoins and some others, because this facebook made coin is compliance with the laws itself and its strictly governed.
