How to destroy PreMine?
ask here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0
Couldn't you just destroy the premine by sending the coins to a different coins address? Like sending the XNA to a BTC address? Wouldn't that get rid of them? I think it would wouldn't it? I'm not 100% sure because I'm a Noob but I think that might work maybe!

No, BitCoin Uses Base58 HEX Version 0 or 1 (Not Sure.... Sad ) But DeOxyRibose (Hoping to get renamed.....) is using 75
Well couldn't you send the coins to another coin's address that uses the same version as your coin? I'm just throwing out ideas here and plus if the premine was from the original version of DeOxyRibose wouldn't the coins not work anyways?

But It will be Spendable, It should'nt be!
But if it's from the previous XNA version of coins then how would it be spendable? Or was this from when you restarted the coin mining? Then that would be a problem I would think and if that's the case then I suggest you find some sort of Escrow to hold the coins till you find a proper way to dispose of them Smiley Just saying.....

What I mean is, 7000 coins at that rate should generate 40k a year, it's not going to happen. I have 27k coins in my wallet btw

Don't get jumped up yet, there will be HardFork in ~ 1 Week with I2P Implementation, SECP256k1 Implementation, Bug Fixes and Most Importantly switching to HiPoS (10 Coins per Block)

I would think very carefully about hardforking again. It's very bad practice unless it's absolutely necessary and kind of a pain in the butt for users.

The coins simply aren't going to be able to stake enough to generate the rewards, nowhere close

And that's fantastic if they all keep doing that! During testing, piles of 7000 were staking for ~200-400, so that's a great improvement. For sustainability. Not so much for the 572% reward, I guess.

No, that kind of Version one, The Block one..... @ Block X -----> Y Will Happen, Not Update to X ----------> Forced to use Y

Okay, How to destroy PreMine? (Seriously.... How?)  - I Burned 1 Coin to a Burning Address but it's spendable...

1. Please Google "CryptCash". You will see that it is already in use and will cause confusion. If its creators were really motivated, the name might have rights attached to it by now (though I'd doubt it).

2. You really have a thing for hard forks...

3. You have already been told that you had one too many characters in the address you tried to burn with.

Focus at the moment should be on :

1. OP.. Make it look good, remove outdated content.
2. Burning premine.
3. Then continue on getting masternodes etc working.

Millions of mined coins were lost when Niitassin changed the blockrewards, lots of coins were not refunded for new coins.

That's why this coin deserves the B.S. Ribbon.

Congratulations!

and why didn't you mine the new chain ?

DEV-MUTANT

No it's not all me, its because of feldenthorne that has taken the time, energy and trust to continue working on a coin that most seemed dead and worthless and fixed it's flaws.

I vow for No MORE UPDATES FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK, then we might roll out SECP256k1

I need cheese and chips! Because Premine's Gonna Burn in ~ 30 Minutes!
lol, Screenshots or it didn't happen

Obviously!

EDIT: I can't burn, error! Tried X9641PremineDead211d7588aad868fb6be
So what do you mean you can't burn the premine?

Yes, he can't burn it because the address to which he chose to send the premine was too long by one character...

Edit: Also, an updated Windows wallet (2.3.1.0) would be nice because I've had six people PM me about being unable to sync the blockchain from scratch (and two questions in this thread). Now that you've fixed it, it should be worth releasing as an optional update.

Providing a link to a zipped blockchain in the OP could help people who can't sync.
