Someone in the thread will explain to me what is meant by gambling with CSGO skins? Is this the purchase and sale of skins in the CSGO for potential profit, or is it something else? I would be glad to hear some details (and to see links to platforms providing such opportunities) because I was working on a similar topic, but in a different game.

Hopefully, more teenagers will have the courage to admit that they have an addiction and tell their parents so they do not get into the deep of the gambling games without having a chance to get out of that place. As soon as they tell their story to their closest family, they will get help from their family and can solve the problem at the right time. When everything is late to help, I do not think he can survive and have a better life at his age because his mind will think about gambling and nothing else. If he has a self-observation better than other teenagers, he should know that what he did is not right and needs to get out before it is too late.
Grown up addicts cannot identify their addiction problem and how can we expect teenagers understanding the gravity of the situation. One thing we can sigh a relief is that they might not be spending too much money even if they are addicted because they wont be having a proper job to support their addiction and if they are using their parents money i am sure they will notice them as well.

OP had a great story to tell about getting into gambling as young as 14 years old and getting out by being open-minded about his addiction, this is the first time that you need to do if you want to solve your gambling addiction and that is opening up about your addiction and being open on its remedy and solution, it becomes easy for OP to get out hope he will find other passions so he'll not think of going back to gambling.

It's an eye-opener story that OP have had shared to all of us. It also give us an awareness to become curious too and take a time of having a self observation and not only this especially for those parents that has a teenager child because young generation today are much likely engaged in internet interaction than engaging on a recreational and active activities. OP have also a better self observation and because of it he made a great decision of saving itself from a serious gambling addiction.

Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
If you feel this way then surely you should make efforts to make a break from gambling, may be not quit forever but surely take a break from it and keep your mind busy in something else in life dont even think about gambling right now.

looks like you have gambling problem mate but also the way i see you? it is attitude that you have and you can always comes out of it.

you are bright enough to understand what is going on because the way you ask this here?
But still i will advise you to stay away as long as you can because there are no good thing coming for you, stay on study and make your parent proud of you.
Maybe if you not lucky with gambling why not try with other side to get earning without active on gambling site, many other thing could earn much money without gambling and you have feel with how much money loss from gambling. You can try with investing and check which coin the best for investing short or long term.

Study Mathematics and take a course option for probability theory and statistical analysis.   IF you do that and take a serious attitude to considering risk outcomes and the calculation of odds with confidence intervals and all kinds of learning possible you might gain a better understanding then you currently have.   Its easy for anyone here to recommend you take a different path, my own take would be to manage your money better but if you have an active brain on this subject then formalize your interest and advance your understanding properly.
I studied stats in school and its one of the most practical self advancing subjects you can study in any arena, use whatever energy you got to do better for yourself.  Stay positive Smiley

OP have also a better self observation and because of it he made a great decision of saving itself from a serious gambling addiction.
I do not think so. Because, I never find any gambler going for self-realization of their addictions but only friends and family members may notice about it and then enforce for remedies or curing process. Probably if a gambler is mature enough and well aware of dangers of gambling addictions then may observe on their own and then go for good decisions. But, here OP is still in under age hence I do see less probabilities for quitting gambling after a a self assessment.

In my early days I never thought about getting other gamblers' opinion for my gambling problems. But, OP has done that here which might open doors unlike what I did and how I suffered in my early days of crypto gambling.

He is still a minor, and in order for him to successfully create an account and gamble, he has to lie about his age as most gambling sites nowadays will ask if you are over 18 years already before you can proceed as that is a basic requirement.

At 14 years old to be this open, I think OP is smart, and he sees that there's a problem because it will become serious.

A gambling site has no way of knowing it, unless they ask for KYC, they have no way of knowing the number of percentages how many underages are playing, they can only warn people they can register, offline casinos is very much different from online casinos, an underage can get in undetected and act like a mature player.
You're right, OP is a smart kid he's not your average kid, he will grow up to become a fine man and will have a great future because he knows how to think correctly and take action.

That is already a problem, seems like you already have an addiction to gambling because you cannot focus on other things and you are always thinking about gambling when you are doing something, I think the best thing for you to do is to spend your time with your friends, hang out with them. Ask them for some advice or even with your family by that you will lessen your time thinking about out gambling but if it doesn't work then you have to go to a psychiatrist so they might give you some medicine and advice.
I don't think going to a psychiatric will solve the problem it has not gotten to that level of going to a psychiatric cause I'm here is not mentally unstable. Getting friend to work with, play together to avoid loneliness will be a good help that can reduce idleness of making the op to go back to gambling without control. He can try as much to start doing the opposite of his addiction. This would help in a long way.

just find a hobby that will suit you very well, and is very fun for you to play. And as much as possible, play this games with your friends for full effectivity.
Finding a hobby that can make OP be happy with his friend is a good idea. Moreover, if the hobby can be done every day, it will be easier to trigger OP to leave gambling temporarily. OP needs to wait for till his age 18+ or 20+ at least to start gambling again, it is expected that he can control emotion at that age. Before he reaches the appropriate age to gamble, OP needs to focus on his hobby with his friends. The hobby should be an activity that spends a lot of time, so it can make him don't have time to gamble. I suggest if it is possible, the hobby can be like sports, it is not only spending time but have good impacts on the body.

My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling.
Using a VPN for gambling is not advisable if you want to prevent problems that may make the gambling site freeze your fund.
But in most cases, it is up to the point of availing and misusing bonuses. Still I agree with you because different carypto houses are having different rules and regulations against multiple accounts hence I cannot say using a VPN IP will not have any problem or will secure you or anything similar to that.
Yes, you're right because every gambling site doesn't have an issue with the use of VPN because they don't background check on their users ip address location until a problem that requires them to do some background check, KYC, etc about their user happen and once they detect the use of VPN they will immediately freeze the account that's why I advise the OP not to make use of VPN due to the consequences involved.
Most of the time casinos or online gambling sites dosent really prohibit out on using up VPN specially into those casinos which doesnt have restricted countries for users to play on which does signify that it is  really open for all.

but if you arent sure about their terms and conditions then its better to avoid but if you do only play with small amounts which you wont bother then i dont see for it to be that a serious thing for you to mind off.

Back on topic about gambling problem, if you do really find out that you do become already addicted to gambling then its just right that you should break that habit and turn up to be that
serious on distracting yourself for you to avoid it.Addiction is something hard to fight on but its not impossible.
I don't know if you are aware that some region restriction of online gambling site was caused by their master license holder rules and regulation.
Therefore, theres no online gambling site that does not restrict 2 more countries but if it yet to be license it may operate in some restricted region.

I have been looking into ways to stop me from gambling. On my home network, my dad runs a DNS server, sometime this week, im going to ask him to block a set of gambling sites on the DNS, so that its impossible for me to visit said websites. This is the best solution I can think of. Thanks for the advice guys! Cheesy
That's a good move but not enough you have to keep your mind busy on other things so your mind will not direct to thinking about gambling, I have seen this on other guys blocking gambling sites on their connection, only to end up going to a computer shop to open his account on gambling site and playing there, you have to stop the urge by replacing it with something worthwhile.
It's enough, he's a student and I think that's more than enough for him to make himself busy. He has said that he's still studying and that's really good on him because he can later on forget about gambling when he started focusing with his studies and finds interesting lessons there.
I guess if there's a way for him to avoid that blocking, he also has to help himself avoiding it.

For students, they can keep themselves busy by focusing on learning, if they are tired of studying and need a little entertainment, don't play gambling.
Moreover, not being over 18 years old is not a good thing to play gambling, there is still a lot of entertainment that can be obtained other than
playing gambling. I would suggest that students seek entertainment that is healthy for the body and mind, so they can focus more on studying.
Why not try playing football with friends, it's an entertaining and healthy activity.
Yes, a lot of projects that they're assigned to do and as well as homework. If they're still in online learning, I just wish him the best and hopefully he's going to avoid it at all cost.
He has to control himself and if he feels that he wants to gamble, just play some video games that will serve as his pastime.

Yeah dude, you should probably quit right now, you're still a minor and I think that you will be able to make some way to control your urge but I don't think that a teen can do that especially a pubescent one since you're emotions are running high. I am a bit skeptic about your age though, I mean what kind of 14 year old are you to be in this forum?
Probably too advance to know technologies, crypto and this forum. Teenagers now were too curious over things and this generation is more on using cellphone and technologies rather than playing outside with friends. However, he’s still too young to be involved in gambling there is need to ask for guidance with his parents and let them know what he’s going through or with friends. There is a need to diverged his addition into something else to avoid him doing it all over again. Getting busy in something else that he can enjoy rather than gambling to help him.

Good luck, you know how to deal with your problem and with the help of your dad hopefully you're not also going to research how to unblock it.
Because there were instances in the past that there were gamblers that have blocked the casinos but later on, they have unblocked it because they can't resist on it and still wanted to gamble. I hope that you can overcome with it if you truly want to quit it for your studies.
If you are really that serious on quitting then you wouldnt be finding ways on how to play again despite of the confession that you have done with your dad.Dont tend to get engage on
things that do attached with gambling so that it wont poke out that interest you do have inside because this is something not easy if you are really that serious to quit or avoid
gambling at any cost. There are lots of activities which you can involved for you to distract yourself for you not to play and you should solve this problem as soon
as possible.
I hope that he won't find a way to gamble again but if he's serious he just have to keep himself as is with what he does. Meaning to say that he's good with his studies and will put all of his focus there. He doesn't need to distract himself just to avoid gambling.
I think that he has enough and a lot of things to do and this is just a basic thing to him that will put away his attention to gambling because there might be other things he does aside from studies.

You are making your brain dependent on something that provides you with the dopamine reward-chemical. This is why fat people can't stop eating and gamblers can't stop gambling. Find something else to do with your life, or just throw yourself in "cold water" and try something new with people you never met. You need to give your brain time to deal with the addiction.

As I was reading it, it all went well until the bolded text Cheesy.
TBH, I kinda laughed a bit when I saw that you are just 14 years old and yet you are involved already into crypto gambling.

If you are always thinking about gambling then you might really have a problem already. Instead of focusing on your school activities, you are spending more time on gambling rather than your lessons. Make a Goddamn effort to quit FFS!!!. You are too young to get involved into gambling and fck for the person/people who introduced gambling to you. Share your experience to your family and they might help you with that.

On the other hand though, it is also nice to see a 14 year old teen getting involved into crypto. Now instead of gambling, try to just invest the money that you have and hold some cryptos and aside from that focus also on your studies Cheesy.

Of course you should stop playing, but if this is a problem for you, then maybe you should install a casino emulator and satisfy your thirst for free? I remember I had such periods and if you give yourself the freedom and completely get fed up with the process, then your mania will pass (I hope).

By the way, on which platform did you gambling with CSGO skins?
