I suggest that you drop off your gambling habits very early on. It will lead you into too much trouble in time and it will be very damaging and unpleasant for your activities. Seek for other things that could make you occupied and focus on that, be it music, outdoor activities, pc games—anything that is far from online gambling. Sooner or later, you will develop the urge to gamble and you will have this line of thinking that your day isn't complete without betting on to something.

As you have said, you already have different hobbies in the past which took up most of your time so easily. Revisit them and just stick with it. Gambling is really a dangerous thing to get hooked on especially you're just 14.
Dangerous indeed if you do really make yourself get addicted to it.Once you do get hooked with gambling addiction then this is something that everyone couldnt really get easily get away from it this is why it is just wise
that you would stop it midway if you dont like bigger problems later on and just like on what most people been suggesting on here  then it wouldnt be bad that going with other activities or hobbies that isnt related to

gambling is much more wise and more effective because there's no one that could help you this time but only yourself and better stopping it rather than waiting for your addiction to become more worst.

Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
Not necessarily quit but its good that you are aware with the actions or activity that you've been doing which i could say that you should at least have some break on playing gambling before you do make yourself get

addicted to it.Whenever a person had been thinking for a particular thing and been compromising specially your education then this is something that you should consider about and its good that you are at least aware

that you are falling into the situation of being addicted. To solve this out then try to distract yourself into something which isnt related to gambling.

i very well agree, he's just 14 and all he can think of is to gamble after school. if he will not stop right now or moderate his gambling activities, very soon he will be addicted to it and may ruin his life. at this early, as he is still not too deep better contemplate on things and weigh his situation. look for other worthwhile activities that you are interested with. it is good that the OP is recognizing he might have a gambling problem already. so address it right away before it is too late.
@OP, by the way, do your parents know that you are into this addicting activity?

What does keep you so interested in gambling? Is it the money or the excitement?

If you are in need of money it's better to find an alternative activity to achieve your financial goals and avoid gambling until you have a fixed source income to afford your hobbies. If it's hard to stay away from gambling you should talk to your father about it and ask for his help. Don't worry if he gets angry on you, at least it's preferable than becoming a gambler addicted who will cause much more trouble later.

However, if it's just the excitement of gambling you are looking for and money isn't an issue, you have to learn how to manage your emotions and your bankroll in order to not lose control over your actions. Gambling is a leisure activity like going to the movies or to a restaurant and you don't keep thinking about these things all day long, so why do you have to think about gambling all day long?

You have to stop now. You are in the opium phase, this is very bad for your future. You will not be able to stop if you have lost a lot, instead of taking back the loss, you will continue to lose. I hope you find the right person who can help you directly

For most people they fall into these patterns of life due to "boredom", what I'd recommend doing is finding a free replacement that can keep you entertained - stick with playing counterstrike, or team fortress 2, world of warship or any of the numerous free high quality games out there. Use your time to grind up the levels and stay away from any in-game purchases that will end up feeling like a waste of money in the long run too. It sounds like you're picking up some dangerous habits right now, but you are more self aware than many problem gamblers. If you really want to determine how much you're winning or losing, keep a proper track record that you can refer to over time, gamblers have a knack of blanking out their losses subconsciously as it is a painful memory - make a simple diary with the starting balance and ending balance every day to get a better picture.

Looking back at other things that take up my time, I also think I get addicted to things easily. When I started playing csgo I put 800 hours into the game in a year, when I got into escape from tarkov I put 2000 hours into the game before I quit. When I first learned to program I would spend most of the hours I was awake programming new stuff and helping people on their projects. But What I dont want to happen is gambling to turn into something that I spend that much time on, With all of my gambling added up, im in profit. But I dont want to ride this winning high all the way to financial zero.

It sounds like you've done a lot of stuff similar to me. Getting hooked on games and putting a lot of time into it - I get my enjoyment out of world of tanks at the moment. Used to play COD: Warzone and Battlegrounds a lot too, then got bored of them. I since got into investing in companies and that is where all my cash goes now, it is a very slow and steady game - you can make a lot of mistakes when learning, but if you build the right long term strategy (mine is focused around building a dividend income) then over time it really builds wealth and constructive knowledge on businesses. Gambling is all about trying to take shortcuts in life to make big money, however you need to learn to accept that the huge odds are mathematically stacked against you and it is a fools errand to chase it. Learn how to cope with slow and steady. Get out and do some exercise as well if possible - go running, pick up some weights, go to the local swimming pool, hit some situps, etc. It can do excellent for your mindset.

You still have time to quit, before things get bad for your ideal teen. In my opinion, I can't fault how you get gambling methods from anyone. But what is clear is that you are still young and there is still time to cultivate an education, the world of gambling is not what you think if you spend your pocket money at school.

On which games are you gambling currently @QuickAccount? I don't think you're really in danger if you manage to not lose big amounts of money. But you should be very careful about that and completely stop gambling with any game if you start to increase your stakes more and more. You should also try to limit your time spent on video and gambling games, and look for other hobbies.

I remember many of our classmates do gambling in the high school ages, doing bets from animals/insects, coins to card type of game/gambling, though the bets are not that much maybe a dollar to $2 but it still gambling though.
Doing it even inside the campus which is illegal as for the school rules but they do it secretly if there's no teacher or so, and I really think at that age its okay, and they're only having fun, doing it on leisure time not on our subject time sched.

As for you, if it doesn't bother you so much I guess that's still okay, any gambler have experienced it, maybe while working (session, meeting), while driving or taking a bus then still thinking some gambling strategy to do and etc.

But if you already cutting class, absent, go home early from work just do gambling, then that's a big problem you really need to solve, and you need to minimize gambling or stop it temporarily coz it bothering you already.

..I spend hours gambling,
How many? You should cut down on gambling if playing affects your sleep and doing your homework. I wouldn't consider you a gambling addict yet since you are still at that stage where almost everything that you do is fun and exciting. You should probably switch to learning crypto charts and "play" with small amounts trading.

You are addicted and underage! Who introduced you to the crypto gambling? Whoever has done this, has done a heinous crime, I must say! Since you are always think about gambling and planning for the night on how you will gamble, is an acute sign of gambling addiction.

I am glad that you at least have this confusion in your mind. It's a sign that you can come out of such addiction. Take help from your parents and don't be afraid to speak out the truth. You may have to face little anger but it will benefit you for sure.

So you are a child under the age of 18? really damn the person who first taught you to gamble. Look at the state of your mentality while studying, it makes you think about what games you should try after you get home?
Before you destroy your career at a young age, don't just stop, but please stay away from this behavior for the sake of your psychological survival where you should be in the learning acceptance stage and focus on building knowledge to continue your education. Instead of focusing on trying all gambling games.
In terms of self-control, you will be more prone to addiction than making gambling as entertainment, your world is still wide to be achieved. So I hope your parents have time to monitor how your learning progresses.
