Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
Kindly quit gambling now to avoid distracting and cutting short  your academic pursuits, look at the bolded statement, gambling wouldn't allow you to excel academically because your mind is distracted from what is being taught in school, beside you are still young to be involved in gambling, had it been you had been winning your bets consistently that would have even make it difficult to quit, however now that always breakeven, the very best option is to completely quit and focus on your studies.

Although, gambling was supposed to be for fun, but some people end up getting addicted. Thinking about gambling when you are in School, when you are suppose to be learning. Means that gambling have captured your attention and mind, which will probably affect your education and future. If you can't control your gambling urge, then just quite and focus on your Career. Find an alternative to gambling, to keep you busy. It will also save you money.

It depends on yourself, because when you are still comfortable and have no problem gambling, then even if you intend to quit I am sure you will not succeed. But indeed, something to quit addiction has to be forced and you have to be able to force yourself out of the gambling zone even if it tortures you. It's good you realized this before you fell too deep, and because of the awareness you have then I say you better stop now or at least start reducing your time in gambling.

Yes you should. Now.

Gambling will only get you into trouble. And the younger you start, the more likely you are to have problems because it is more difficult to control your impulses when you have the hormones of a teenager. Follow philipma1957's advice.

You have to understand that gambling is a negative return game, you can win in the short term, but the more you play the more you will lose in the long term. Someone with a head can play for entertainment and maybe win money in the short term but knowing what the House Edge is.

Well first of all you should not gamble because you don't have the legal age for it, but i am not going to blame you for that because i would guess that most of us in here have tried alcohol or cigarettes when they where young too even if we were not allowed to do so by law.
Reading your statement my guess would be that you are indeed starting to develop a gambling addiction, because you say gambling is all that you basically think of and that is a clear sign for me.
If i were you i would just try to not gamble for a few days to see how hard this is for you.

Yes, I think you must put all your effort into your school work and first make a success of that. (Looking back at my life now, I would have wanted to put a lot more into my school work, when I had the opportunity to do it)

When you are at school, you do not give a lot of thought to school work and you think it is a waste of time.. but I can tell you from experience that it does count in life, if you have good grades. (It is a kickstarter in life and a stepping stone to success in the future)

Stake.com or some other casino will still be there, when you are finished with school... so step away now and make a success of your life... and if you decide later that you want to gamble, then do it when you are successful and more matured and experienced to handle things like this.  Wink

Just Enjoy your school years.... (Girls or boys / Sport / Party.....etc.) ..because there are stressful times ahead, where you will have to tap into the "good times" thoughts of your younger years.

It sounds like it could become a problem in the future since you think way too much about gambling. I myself got exposed at an early age as well because back then in my school playing against other students was like the trend or pastime but it didn't became an issue between my studies. It's good to hear that you recognize your problem, and if you can simply quit then do so but there's also other ways around it like looking for different hobbies until you don't have time for gambling.

Looks like OP still under age this is the reason we need to have guidance regarding gambling today they are already enlightened regarding with the gambling world especially to the game we would like love like CSGO and other sports game I think you need to have a self-awareness if you think you get gamble too much take a break not all the time we win in gambling. Sometimes gambling might give mental instability to the players due to losing a lot of money. If you think gambling is not too much healthy for you avoid it as early as possible.

Op at 14 I used gamble way over my head.

I gambled over my head for years and finally stopped at the age of 33.

So stop now and save yourself years of losing and feeling bad for your self.

The man is not only talking to himself when he said this, but the majority of people who are getting addicted are also having this kind of addiction where they first tried it and suddenly they've been doing it and keep doing it until they are no longer feel to do anything but playing with their money. You need to stop it right now because once you have it on your mind all the time that's when the addiction started to culture on your mind and the next thing you know you are in the state of addiction.

It's good for me at least you are now exposed to gambling. Since you already analyze something, then you know what to do now.

Continuing is not bad as long as you are responsible. Stopping is your choice. You can think of it on your own.

OP was aware of the primary that his action may lead him to a serious gambling addiction and the big question for now is how he can handle this thing. I just do hope that OP could find a way to go out on the thing that he is now used to do, I bet it would be difficult since it has occupied already a space in his mind even he is in the school. If it could not control this situation on himself it would be a serious problem that he would going to face so I just do hope he can stop this or even control over the situation.

Thoughts are powerful, and they are often times transformed into reality. If you have started having thoughts that your gambling will get you in trouble because you are underaged, be very sure that soon enough it will, and you better try to quit either by self or group help.

Another good reason to stop is, habits that you get/develop at a very young age sometimes become lifelong problems. You should do your best to quit or put under check before this becomes a lifelong problem for you.

It seems like OP is the path of becoming a worst gambling addict.
Can't stop thinking about gambling and the eagerness to gamble are a few of main reasons for a person to get hooked up with gambling.
Now, what's even bad is that you're a minor. You should always be careful with your funds deposited to the online gambling websites because they might be asking for KYC anytime. Thus, it will result to account lock because minors are against the TOS.

If you think you have enough of gsmbling, then I guess it's safe to say to slowly quit as long as you can. I know quitting ain't never easy.
Gambling has always been a problem right from time for those people that are now addicts.
Gambling has a spirit that controls it,that the moment you are into it,one finds it very difficult to quit it.
Gambling is is a thing that sucks money, render you useless, frustrates you,and make you depressed if you are not careful.
Gambling addiction is even more dangerous than smoking cigarette because the amount of money used in gambling is always far more huge than the one used in buying cigarette.

Son, you fall into the gambling arena too quickly, I suggest you kid, stop don't go on, the negative effect is big enough for you, you shouldn't involve yourself in gambling, you're still learning.

Before you stress and quit school take the decision to stop gambling, focus on studying and school, that's the best decision you choose, if you continue you will experience severe depression, your studies at school will be disrupted, this is not a factor of your age under -18 years, the biggest factor is that you are still studying and studying, that is the biggest problem.

Your future is still bright, it's not time for you to involve yourself in the gambling arena, there are times when you have to play, if the reason is for fun.

Gambling responsibly not gambling for long hours or playing more gambling than doing other more important activities in your life is very wrong and excessive.
my advice to the OP should stop because what you are doing in gambling is too excessive and if it continues like that it will be fatal for you, maybe one day you can forget everything without thinking about your rest and health which is more meaningful.

Winning or losing in gambling is meaningless if you don't enjoy a normal life like everyone else, changing it is the right choice before things get too far and more difficult to heal.

And because you are underage and your income may not come from your own work, it's better to avoid it. and obviously casino things and gambling are only for adults and for people who can be responsible for their finances. I at 14 had no thoughts of gambling at all. maybe you can look for things that you like or sharpen your passion in other things.

100%.

You shouldn't let gambling engulf your life especially at this young age. Focus on your education & you will be able to make a lot more in the future.

Just keep things into perspective, man. You will probably find yourself relapse quite a few times, but you should at least look at the mathematics underlying why casinos win in the long run in the first place.

This is the real problem here, you are underaged yet you're gambling so for me better to quit as early as possible because you're thinking too much about gambling already and this might really put you in big trouble if you continue gambling, in will lead you to addiction.

You're too young for this, its already good that you're into cryptocurrency, but not to try gambling again, that's too risky for you.
Quit and do focus more on your studies though CSGO is just a game that has a way to gamble, you can still play the game but don’t put any money on that anymore because that’s useless and you’re still young for that.

Many younger players are into CSGO games but they didn’t gamble at all, they just play the game and love to have fun, better to be on this situation because gambling will ruin your life.
