My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling.
Using a VPN for gambling is not advisable if you want to prevent problems that may make the gambling site freeze your fund.
But in most cases, it is up to the point of availing and misusing bonuses. Still I agree with you because different carypto houses are having different rules and regulations against multiple accounts hence I cannot say using a VPN IP will not have any problem or will secure you or anything similar to that.
Yes, you're right because every gambling site doesn't have an issue with the use of VPN because they don't background check on their users ip address location until a problem that requires them to do some background check, KYC, etc about their user happen and once they detect the use of VPN they will immediately freeze the account that's why I advise the OP not to make use of VPN due to the consequences involved.
Most of the time casinos or online gambling sites dosent really prohibit out on using up VPN specially into those casinos which doesnt have restricted countries for users to play on which does signify that it is  really open for all.

but if you arent sure about their terms and conditions then its better to avoid but if you do only play with small amounts which you wont bother then i dont see for it to be that a serious thing for you to mind off.

Back on topic about gambling problem, if you do really find out that you do become already addicted to gambling then its just right that you should break that habit and turn up to be that
serious on distracting yourself for you to avoid it.Addiction is something hard to fight on but its not impossible.

He is still a minor, and in order for him to successfully create an account and gamble, he has to lie about his age as most gambling sites nowadays will ask if you are over 18 years already before you can proceed as that is a basic requirement.

At 14 years old to be this open, I think OP is smart, and he sees that there's a problem because it will become serious.

I think so too. It is good that OP’s eyes are now opened and came to this realization when behavior towards gambling was observed. It is a huge step in preventing gambling addiction, to have realizations and deciding to do something about it.

That is the scenario I had when I was at that age, and the thing that makes me stop is another hobby. I have another hobby that makes me want to think of that hobby more than the gambling which in my case is playing DOTA. It's kind of also adicting but still makes me away from gambling at the very least.

So just find a hobby that will suit you very well, and is very fun for you to play. And as much as possible, play this games with your friends for full effectivity.

I agree with your advice. Finding a hobby that is far from dealing with money and purely a fun activity is the perfect distraction from gambling for OP.

Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?

I would give an advice and I am 22 right now..

I started gambling so hard when I was 11-12 years old and I surely will bet all of my funds I can hold to every day. And everynight even at school, I gamble with my friends, and always thinking on how will I recover my losses day by day.

Thanks for the advice! Im at school currently, so I cant ask him right this minute, but I will do it as soon as possible, I am also going to start withdrawing all of my balance on Stake to my ether wallet when I get home. Im going to do my best to quit gambling for good.

You will grow up to be a responsible person because you can differentiate right and wrong on gambling, and you know how to take advice and listen to people I hope you find the right hobby for you, gambling is not a hobby for 14 years old like you, you are still a kid think and act like a kid, there are a lot of good games on the internet be a gamer, not a gambler.

This is something I agree with. You should take this advice because you are still young and it is very difficult if you become addicted at this young age. You should start playing games right now and start mingling with girls! Act like a child, he's right! But, in my opinion, you can decide what is good and what is bad, but stay away from gambling first.

Take it easy how you go into gambling at the age you are. Don't allow it to take over you or control you. I like it you don't too lose in gambling.
I don't know what the OP is thinking right now, so at a relatively young age, he tries to gamble,
He did not just tried but he really gamble and not only with small participation instead a High amount gambler because he is seeking for more activities .
Quote
but whatever the reason, of course it's wrong in my opinion, because apart from he's still young and still in school,
Sorry but there are no mentioning about Him is schooling considering his age is young and must be in school.
Quote
of course this is it would be a great burden to his parents for using the money they gave him to gamble, I think now there is still time for the OP to change this behavior before it becomes a prolonged addiction later.
or maybe he is gaining from crypto so he has funds to gamble? we knew that even younger age now are gaining from crypto market.

For students, they can keep themselves busy by focusing on learning, if they are tired of studying and need a little entertainment, don't play gambling.
Moreover, not being over 18 years old is not a good thing to play gambling, there is still a lot of entertainment that can be obtained other than
playing gambling. I would suggest that students seek entertainment that is healthy for the body and mind, so they can focus more on studying.
Why not try playing football with friends, it's an entertaining and healthy activity.
At their ages, they should have to study and focus on their school. But well, in this pandemic, it seems, they have more free time to do other things so that can bring some of them into gambling games and they did not realize how the addiction works. They can not go out free without following the health protocols and that is why many of them are still at their home and spend their time using their gadget or computer. Parental guidance is a must in this matter. However, they can not always supervise their kids all day long because their parents have their jobs. Hopefully, he can realize how he must solve the addiction to gambling.

In some countries, school activities have not run normally, due to the high rate of the spread of COVID-19. And as you said, eventually children spend
a lot of time at home by accessing the internet a lot. That is what ultimately causes many children to access gambling sites, and the role of parents is
indeed important in supervising their children accessing the internet. Do not let children access gambling sites, because once successful trying once can
lead to addiction. Fortunately I do a lot of work at home, so I can supervise my children not to access gambling sites. But for parents who have to work
to the office, can hand over the supervision of children to our closest family or even turn off the internet network when parents go to work to the office.
I guess that is why the young generations have much time at their home and maybe they are bored and confused about what they should do while at home. Yes, what you said is right because I see many of them access the internet and do many things, including playing gambling.

Luckily for parents who do their work at home to supervise their children, including you so you can supervise your children directly and know what they did. Hopefully, other children in the other countries can take care of themselves so they will not have a problem accessing the internet.

I applaud your self-awareness, and by that, I think you understand that you do have to take some action. If you think you have an addiction, there is a high chance you actually do and you think about it with a clear mind is the first and most important step into lowering your addiction or kicking it all together. If you are really worried, best to speak to a professional about it.

Although you already have quite a few answers here I would like to briefly tell you my experience, I faced a similar problem as you when I was about 14 years old.

At that time I played a lot in online tournaments such as Warcraft 3 and was very good at it, so it took a lot of time. The game itself was free, but I "paid" with poor academic performance.
What helped me back then was a very simple step: I talked to my parents about it and asked them to regulate my online time. This was hard at first, of course, and I would have had plenty of chances to get around the regulations, but made a "contract" with my parents that I would stick to it. This gave me a lot of encouragement myself and in a very short time I started to see online gaming as just a hobby rather than a "compulsion".
Since you are writing here in BTT, then probably everyone understands that any forum user is a competent person who has the appropriate education and is smart.  Therefore, you probably had the intelligence and ingenuity to come to an agreement with your parents.  OP, I suppose, is also a pretty smart guy, because he opened this topic and decided to consult with us.  And this advice about a "contract" with parents seems to me the most appropriate advice in this case.  Taking into account the fact that the boy himself already understands a lot of things in the cryptoindustry and in gambling.

You still have a control , you still have the guts then better quit now or be in trouble sooner, the way i see this is that you are near to become addicted mate.
you are getting deeper in your gambling desire and activities so you make good move now or suffer tomorrow .
and also you are 14 years old is that right? does your parents knows this activities? if not then best tell them now and make your way out in good manner before its too late.

Most 14 years of age don't have the capability to support their online activities like financially spending on online games and gambling. OP is so lucky that at that age, he has the money to cover the spendings on his activity unless one of the reasons why he decided to stop gambling is, the money is not coming from his own pocket.

Better stop it for now OP but you can still back to gambling once you are now matured, as a  better and responsible gambler where you know and understand the risk of being addicted to gambling.

At that age, they are really prone to addiction because I personally experienced this one playing an online game and almost spending all my money to bet on my every game and the end is addiction, it can only be stop once you focus on other things. To OP, you’re still young don’t ruin your life in gambling, do find another way to have fun without gambling, you’re at risk of losing more money better to ask for some help.
You can share your experience to op on how you do it and see if the method op doing us working. If putting your mind to other things won't work  then at least as for help from other people like your family and ask them to support you when you go rehab. My opinion about putting your mind into other things would work but we can't help other people gambling and you happen to see it yourself personally.

CSGO is really addicting. My wallet already hurts on that game. And at the same time, purchasing game credits too on any other games e.g Ragnarok, Metamorph M, Mobile Legends skins, etc. Another spending is these NFT games. Plus gambling habits especially my sports betting activity.

What I'm saying is, if you feel you are in still control of yourself and never forget your financial obligations and responsibility, you are free to do gambling as much as you want. Stopping completely is a good option but can you really do it? If yes then good. If not, then take it slowly until you are not looking for any gambling-related stuffs.

You are the only one who can answer your own question as you know your capability compare to us.

If you think it's now ruining your usual activity, feel stressed about it, pressured or already wasting money for nothing, then you should minimize your gambling habits. Stopping totally depends on how you think of the situation. If you feel you can handle those problems I mentioned, then just feel entertained on what you are doing.

You can feel if something not right is happening. The moment you feel it, you can slowly stop doing gambling or find another activity outside gambling that will make you feel busy and entertain.
