I agree with some guys here. Try to divide your investments into diversity of coins here. There are so many perspective projects now, try to find few and invest.
I think you should hold ethereum. Because the market is greening now. Just compare the price in between 20 days.. almost 250$ increased. Just hodl, price will go up more.
The Ethereum is a good long-term coin. If you want to get a lot more and fast I think that you can buy on the 50% ETH - cheap and promising coins, they can give a good profit.
ETH = safer investmer imho.
ALT = greater possibilities on short/mid term.
Why not do both ?
Use ETH to secure profit you're making on other alts, and cut losses in case thoses happens

The question is what is your target. ETH cannot x5 in near future, for example, but it cannot valued @1$, too if nothing extraordinary happen. With other alts, especially out of top 100, anything can happen, but keep in mind that most of ICOs are not profitable.
For safety you should keep it and wait again

You can try to invest in other COINS in a very small amount, but make sure you understand the project before you invest it. I think your etheric will get more and more.
I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.
