My aorus are rather good. for cooling system - looks even better than Gamerock`s.
Looks are deceiving. I don't have the Aorus 1080 Ti, but I do have both Aorus Xtreme 1080 and Palit 1080 SJS and Gamerock cards. Aorus looks cool with its 3 fans and the copper plate on the back, but the simpler looking Palits have lower temps @ ~ the same noise level. Aorus's pads are leaking with oil like an old car, and Palits are all 100% dry.

And it`s hashrate better to.
Hashrates at this point have nothing do to with the card being a Palit or an Aorus, both cards have ~ the same cooling capacity so the hashrate will solely depend on how lucky you are in the silicon lottery.

Absolutely agree with in everything, but one thing: my 7 x Aorus 1080ti do not leak at all.
Maybe that is because I put 2 x 45mm fans underneath the rig and GPU temps never went higher than 70C.

Take a look at Gigabyte Aorus series also - they have got the most reliable fans comparing to all others.
That's a bold statement. Grin Seriously though, there doesn't seem to been enough data yet to figure out who's got the most reliable fans, the 1080 Ti cards just haven't been in service long enough. Any double-bearing fan is alright. Asus actually claims that their fans have some extra protection from dust, so a serious contender as well. And their Strix 1080 Ti is among the best air cooled cards.

I willn`t affirm it with 100% confidence but it`s my experience of use.

What settings whould you recommend for me?
Whatever your card is capable of. Each card is unique, you just test different clocks at different voltages, find out which pairs are stable, check the power consumption and temps and choose whatever you like the most. I run my 1080 Ti cards at 0.85V, most are stable at ~ 1850 MHz and all run under 60C. That's what makes sense to me, but it doesn't matter that something like this would be the best for you. Test your card(s) and pick the mode that makes the most sense to you.

i just got asus strix gtx 1080 Ti and on 80% TDP, core +100 mem +300 i got around 720-740 Sol/s ( 220-230W ) on Zcash.
I have a little problem with OC at 100% tdp +100 core. i have power loss and it start to hit 300 sols i need to reset pc so i only can do 85%tdp +100core and +300 memory.
That Strix card is already close to its max from the factory, when you add +100 at the stock 100% PL it's probably just too much for it so it crashes the driver. After a crash like this it often defaults to some kind of "emergency" mode and that's why you're getting 300 sols unless you reboot.

Hi guys!

I am looking to buy a new gaming pc and do not care about electricity cost. Wanna learn more about mining and crypto.

I have searched the net but couldn't quite find what I was looking for... I am ready to do my homework and research

but I ask you, do you have good links/sources where I can read about mining equipment for home users.

Don´t wanna build big rig, just hobby mine on gaming PC. I was thinking of Monero or other Altcoin, no coins with ASIC activated.
Red that the 1080Ti is quite good, but that is just one part of the PC...

Any advice?? Thanks

if you want just PC for gaming i think you need just 1 GPU, so GPU is most important part in that.

ok thanks. And the 1080ti is good right? (wanna mine monero or Zcash)

I used to mine on flypool and I dont remember having that.
Seems like a totally normal graph to me, just one drop when the miner lost connection with the pool, or the stats just weren't recorded for some time (easy to check actually if the miner keeps logs or is still running — to see whether there were any disconnects at that time).

It's king for zcash, but for Monero it really sucks ass. You're way better off with a rx 470 than a 1080ti on Cryptonight.
