Put some money in Bitcoin. If you are all in on Bitcoin, that's fine, stay there if you aren't feeling risky. If you're feeling like an animal, then put some money into Ethereum. I'm sure a few altcoins will moon in a few years, but most will die. To those that pick the alts that moon, congratulations, enjoy your lambos.
I would take the BTC personally. No need for that much eth in my opinion. Bitcoin will rise so much more...
I prefer Bitcoin. Soon we will have ETF on Bitcoin, and price will go up. ETH also good crypto currency, but it is Altcoin still. And all Altcoins only go down. So i think that till december 2018 we will see new Bitcoin rally and Altcoin dump.

I agree.. If the ETF is accepted we might see a huge hype on bitcoin thus making it back to $10k value or more again. But if it's rejected again then we might see another dump thus making it back to $5k value I guess?
@TS : I think diversify portfolio is better, like 65% btc and 35% eth. Although hodling is unfortunately not profitable at the moment..
Anyways if you are investing something you are willing to lose (not pension / retirement / another important funds), you will be fine I guess.

It is good to own a BTC or ETH because they are valuable in the future. But general view is that BTC will be good in the short term because the price of BTC fluctuates strongly, so profitability is high due to high prices.
That statement doesn't make a lot of sense. There is some profit to be made for gamblers yes, but not for those who are looking for price increases. In the short term Bitcoin might stay where it is these days. In the long term it might look completely different. I think Bitcoin will go up.
Bitcoin is safest to hold for the long term IMO, it is the most stable cryptocurrency for sure, it has proven many time before in the bear market. But Eth is also good.
Keep 150 ethereum better then nly hold 1.5 btc. Ethereum also still have big opportunity to grow. Bitcoin also still havr big potential to grow but bitcoin price is over priced for now. Ethereum can reach above 10x from today price while bitcoin can only atleast 10x today price. Hold your ethereum untill 2021 and you will win big.
I would advise not to immediately invest the entire amount in one coin. It is better to divide your investments 50/50
I think ethereum's investment promises more profit than bitcoin, as we know that ethereum is a very large coin because of a lot of devs. who developed etheerum.

For me prefer bitcoin is moving more higher than any other altcoin is the father of all. No matter what bitcoin still remain strong. This period Ethereum is very slow in the coinmarket, I think you convert to bitcoin it will be more profitable.
In my calculation, 150 ethereum and 9.5 bitcoin are a remarkable same, so in the event that you need to contribute 150 worth of ethereum or 9.5 bitcoin resemble the same, and it's dependent upon you where you need to contribute from that point, in spite of the fact that those two digital money are both great, and they resemble a ruler and ruler of cryptographic money however as I would like to think, I would pick ETHERUM

Here If I will be at your place then I will hold half bitcoin amount and half etherium ( 75eth ) , because at one side bitcoin is at dump and can grow any time to up and at another side etherium is also a very low price since long time , so it is also have big chances that it can come to rise very high easily ( expected 0.2btc=1eth ) , so here it will be better for us to hold both the coins amounts separately , so that we can make profit in both the cases .
if you have to compare it between ETH and BTC. I will still choose BTC, even though ETH is more effective in maintaining prices and value. BTC still always leads with its value that can still be said to be expensive if it has to be compared with other coins. and maybe that being BTC is always a concern and that's the reason for me. with the conclusion BTC can be like the end of 2017. That is my hope in late 2018.

op asked advice to pick of those coins and you recommended to buy both instead and add EOS to this portfolio so it may become 66,6% centralized, why??I highly suggest to buy Bitcoin when the question is "What should I buy - Bitcoin or *paste*coin"
As for me, now BTC looks more stable, and I would prefer to invest in it. But do not invest in it all the money. You can invest 70/30, because ETH can generate revenue.
i would choose 9.5 btc because bitcoin is the first coin and the most potentially big to grow and gives you the real advantage in the future.. bitcoin has an important role in the crypto market. But If you can take risks, if you want to earn more, it's also ethereal. But at BitCoin you are safer and suffer less damage. It's your choice.

Would rather invest on both. In the long run if you hold eth youll change it to btc. So you are like accumulating also in btc. If you know how to trade, why not trade eth to btc when eth has high value, and vice versa. In that way you can maximise your profit.
