Good morning everybody,

the tournaments for series #2 are now live! Smiley I have asked SwC to switch from 3k starting stacks to 5k - lets see if they can do it.

I will now PM everyone (who has already sent chips) the passwords. Smiley

Regarding donations: Looks like most of you would like to help and I am still open to any ideas - I wouldn't mind taking like 10% of a week's "extra chips" and send them over to Royse777 - maybe we should just do that and anyone who is not comfortable doing this, just let's me know and I will not send his chips (all anonimously of course). What do you think?

most people seem to support upping starting stacks to 5k, or otherwise don't care. personally i think it'll make games more fun and yield more action. make it so, @efialtis! Tongue

if the first couple games run too long, we could consider chopping a minute or two off the blind levels. i agree with others that the final should be deeper stacked regardless of what we do for the series.

I voted too. Since the prize pool is already large, it would be okay for me to donate a part of the 200 chips per game. Wouldn't bother me. Maybe 100 chips for the prize pool and 100 chips per game for the donation pool?! If all participants agree, you can do it that way. I have sent you today 400 chips for the first 2 games this weekend.  Smiley

i'm open to this but i also understand if others want it all in the pot. in that case, i'll make a separate donation. i'm cool with whatever everyone else decides.

i paid my 1600 chip buy-in last night and plan to go the distance. Tongue

I'm fine with whatever starting chips we decide to go for season two (first 8 games).

But please for final game to have higher stack! It will be more skill than luck with higher stack! Smiley Last final was turbulent because we had just 3k starting chips, and after first hour madness started, with all ins, and high rises that you can't pay because of the low stack!

It was even worse for Trofo who committed half of his chips very early in the championship game. There was basically no return from that point on for him. So i support the idea of having a higher stack for the finals at least!

By the way, what caused that we started the finals on two tables instead of one, was it the late registration thing? I hope this is something that can be fixed.

To start from the beginning, I voted for 5k starting chip! In series, it will not play big role, 3k or 5k, game will be similar, probably we can play more relaxed with 5k and have more fun! But please for final game to have higher stack! It will be more skill than luck with higher stack! Smiley Last final was turbulent because we had just 3k starting chips, and after first hour madness started, with all ins, and high rises that you can't pay because of the low stack!
Second thing, if all agrees to help people in need I am ok with that! Efi can take 10% (more or less from amount we give for each tournament and give it to Royce). We started all this in friendly manner, and it would be good to continue like that. I know that Efi is a good person, he will honor every deal we make (I mean if all players vote for something he will follow)! Royce started something (at least he did something) and we can support him as community, maybe we can spare few chips and help some people in need!

Reminder: I plan to play 2 series and win again! Smiley

Hey guys,

I have just added a poll to get a quick feeling - referring to https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/project-covid-19-an-approach-to-support-the-bitcoin-community-5243099.

Long story short: I don't see us having a separate "charity-tournament" for now due to time-frame. Instead, I would like to give everyone the chance to "donate" parts of the extra chips or send additional extra chips as long as series #2 runs. Donated chips will not count towards the final prize pool as of now - I may come up with something though to cover up, so no worries, we will have a great prize for sure. Wink

Anyone who is willing to support the cause, just let me know whenever you send chips and I will take care of the rest and have Royse777 receive the funds the fastest way. Your donations do not have to be made public if you don't wish to do so.

Thank you very much in advance and thank you for having made our Bitcointalk Series such an amazing and fun event!

We're starting again already? You guys aren't wasting any time Grin

I'll be more of a 'come and go' player during the 2nd series, this is too much poker for me and is hard to keep the necessary focus.
I think I'll have more chance of good results if I play less but I'll still try to get to that final table.

Let the games begin Smiley

Good to see you are giving your best to get the exposure of the project. We are so grateful.

I just had a thought: Do you want me to create an account in SwC and give you the username and add a new section in the OP with the username. So, if anyone wants then they can send the chips on my way. I will send them time to time in the donation address. Possibly this way we can save the transaction fees.

Cheers,

Orea.

I will be in again, some games. So that will be good for some people to get some easy money from me.

Looks like I need to think up a clever name for myself like everyone else has. Hmm poker or bitcoin related.

All out of merit, been giving a lot away lately. When I will replenish I will award some for the thanks for organising.

Can't way for next weekend, i intend to play all games and will be sending out chips tomorrow.

I hope we can get some new faces too, a lot of people have shown interest so far. If we could keep a number over 30 players for each of the 8 qualifiers that would be awesome.

slightly off-topic but this has to be the most pimped-out spreadsheet i have ever seen, who create it?

Improved (Obaming) initially offered his help and in the same time my friend tyKiwanuka also came up with that super fancy spreadsheet - loving it! Thanks for that @tyKiwanuka Smiley

@Improved Thank you very much, too - I just love tyKiwanuka's one! Wink

Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o

I am fucking out of sMerits. Can anyone send some merit to this guy please?

You are the one who was teaching me poker few weeks ago and now I feel I really do well on the tables. I am not going to forget the patience you showed on that day by answering my stupid questions. I noticed once yahoo was pissed because I was asking a silly question LOL (fuck you yahoo 😘)

I won the 4th place today and in sportsbet.io, I placed 2nd in a free roll tourney. It's not the money but the feeling you have when you do great in something that you have learned not long ago.

Thanks again tyKiwanuka.

Yeah, now I know what level they were talking about.

By the way, In this tournament whatever I will win whenever I will win, I will always donate 50% of my winnings to this project running by some legends : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54354162
If you guys have not noticed it then I will encourage to visit the topic and read everything. Awesome initiative by Lauda and some other old timers.

Edit:
efialtis, I sent you 600 chips which sorts out my first three tourney, right?

Late registration: 6 Levels
Can you explain it please. Last time we had was 55 minutes but what are these levels and how long are these levels?

A level is a timeframe, where the small and big blind are fixed at a certain amount, f.e. 10/20. The level time is set by the Operator or with our private tournament we can set it ourselves per request (it was lowered from 12 minutes to 10 minutes during the first series). Once the level time is over, the next level starts and SB and BB are fixed again for some time, f.e. 15/30. Then 20/40, 25/50 etc.

In our tournament series the blind levels are set to 10 minutes as you can see above:

Blind levels: 10 Minutes

So 6 levels of late registration means 6*10 minutes = 60 minutes. Starting level 7 (SB/BB = 50/100) no more registrations are possible and Ante will start. Ante is a small fee every player has to put into the pot pre-flop, regardless of that player being involved in the action or not.

Good to see this again and I am much confident about this series than the first one. In early tourneys of the first series I was a noob and I did not have much clue about how things works but this one? You have to talk to me before taking all the chips away from me 🤪
Each qualifier comes with a 1 mBTC Buy-in directly on SwC. In addition, you need to send 200 chips per game to „youcantwin“ via SwC Chips Transfer.

200*8 = 1600 chips I believe. You will get them very soon.

You are fast Efi, you already have second series prepared, great job! I'm definitely in, I wait weekend's to play poker with you guys, and its nice to see that we will have poker weekends entire May. Like always thanks to swc for adding chips to prize pool, and this awesome ticket for Big BTC, that is very generous from them, winner will have a lot of fun and nice chance for winning a lot of chips.

I don't know about starting chips, for me it's the same is it 3 or 5k, but for sure final game should be with some bigger stack. This time it was crazy play with just 3k!

I wish you can make it more earlier to 3PM GMT for the start time, so people in asia like me can join  Undecided
Midnight on Southeastern Asia, maybe next time, I am suggesting efialtis try to make around the world tournament? We don't go anywhere, only time to set where we go to. for example next week Date: Sunday 5/10/2020 tournament on Bangkok (Thailand), so we go to setting time 10 AM GMT. IMHO
