For me, Cardano is way better project than Ripple. It has more usecases and growth potential compared to XRP but you can give him an amount of both as a dual present.

Ripple is no push over either, but it is a centralized Crypto owned by a bunch of banks and has too much supply.It already saw a huge pump last month and I don't see another one happening in coming months. The price might fluctuate between 4 to 5 dollars this year.
