If we assume that this year was a happy one for all users of bitcoin, it is nonsense and lies. I wish I was the tractor and plowed field than listening every day about losing their coins when the price of bitcoin fell to the limits beyond which I bought the coin.
I think the before the year ends bitcoin price in exchange website will be increase and the bitcoin price too all we want in bitcoin is to succeed and this would be the year of bitcoin full of surprizes and very active potential to grow and if you see fork issue that only hurts bitcoin why is decreasing
Even with my little knowledge and exploit in the world of Bitcoin one thing I have discovered even going memory lane to the best of my knowledge is that every year is always a year of bitcoin as so many new innovations are being introduced so likewise other infrastructures and exposure being experienced day by day then I came to the conclusion that not only 2016 but 2017, 2018 etc.
if 2016 is the year of bitcoin, we will see "new highest rate, new highest pump" for make all holder earning biggest profit, im only bitcoin earner, not holder, so i think i will start holding now until the end of 2016.
People here are different and thus have different definitions of what is being considered the year of Bitcoin.For me personally the fact that the price has reached nearly $800 back in June, made it for me a more than profitable year, and thus it can be seen as the year of Bitcoin for me.
Other people might see technical upgrades as something that can make or break a year, but overall, it's more price related.

2016 highest achievement price of about $770, cmiiw. and this is indeed the highest price from the previous year. so it could be said years of bitcoin, but I think every year prices will continue to rise, so each year is also the year of the bitcoin.

Well that is a good prediction for the benefit of many but we all know it is really hard to see that. Just by looking at it now it is just at the same level and it is taking long again. We should always be ready to what might happen this year.

Majority of users are predicting that price at the end of the year and at a moment price has started to move up slowly and I would be much satisfied even if it touches $800 at the end of the year.

There was some excitement in this year before the halving when price crossed $750 level and everyone was hoping that it will touch $1k at halving but unfortunately it didn't happen so lets hope that milestone will be achieved in next year.

2020 Because it takes about 2 years for start-ups to get their act together.
Another 2 years to make an impact on a global scale with consumers that don't yet know there is a solution to their problems.
So, keep accumulating for the next 2-3 years.

2016 MAybe a good yeat for bitcoin but a lots of things still needs to be done.
New software and new methods of using, getting and spending Cryptos are right now a little too busy. Lots of people have their head barely wrapped around the mechanics behind Bitcoin, yet they understand what to do to use it. You have a wallet, Bitcoins in, Bitcoins out, keep your private keys safe, keep passphrases and such safe, and never try to get rich with the scams. Beyond that, the process of transactions is a blurry mystery that they don't care to understand. That's where the issue is going to be very soon.

I have watched 2016 till now, and I expected a little more from this year.
Especially from the halving. And the last two months were somehow boring as well when I look at the charts.

I get shocked to hear that kind of statements from people living in bitcoin world, because every know how bitcoin has progressed in this year and how much percent it has grown in value but if still someone says that this has not been a year of bitcoin then what else should a year bring for us?

The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.

To me 2016 has never been the year of the Bitcoin because the price was stable for too long of a time and I did not made that much money this year. The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
