Nothing comes easily in Bitcoin. But for me it definitely was a fantastic year, so yes, in that aspect it was indeed my "The Year Of Bitcoin".

Its still quite a good year to bitcoin because this year has the even of halving which the price of bitcoin somewhat increase from $400+ mark to $600 which is good to see on this year so we could somehow assume that 2017 would be also a good year but still it wont guarantee us because we dont know the future.

This was definitely not the year of the bitcoin if you compare it to other years but of course it was also not the worst year at all.
We got spoiled in other years so maybe that's why it feels like this year was lacking alot.

Well if you noticed the post in Micro Earnings about last 2 years ago, Faucets back then give a generous amount of bitcoin because the value of it was cheaper compared now, But I wonder if you compared it right you still have more bitcoins back then compared to having it now. I stopped claiming Satoshis from faucets a few months ago because I can barely earn about 20000 Satoshi which is barely over .10$ because it is pointless when you get there.

Why do you say that 2016 is not a year of bitcoin? Just because of the bitfinex hacking incident? Or do you have any other reason to say that this year is not a good year for bitcoin. Because for me, I can say that I'm pretty satisfied on what happened to bitcoin this year. But I'm too much sure that there are more good things to come for next year.

I get shocked to hear that kind of statements from people living in bitcoin world, because every know how bitcoin has progressed in this year and how much percent it has grown in value but if still someone says that this has not been a year of bitcoin then what else should a year bring for us?

Lets suppose someone introduce a new concept and service, like a sidechain that provides a company a place to move its own private currency around, smart contracts so that you can guarantee that your coins are only spent when you receive your "x". The new services that should be making waves in the non-crypto community and within don't get the use and attention because too many people didn't understand the foundation below it.

Only than bitcoin popularity may be little low.

I'm waiting for that bitcoin will rise in price by year's end. 2016 was not calm, but you have not seen bitcoin too low. If this year will produce bitcoin an extreme point, the price will be released on the new high positions.

2016 has not been the year of the Bitcoin for me at least because I have not been able to do that much this year and I was expecting a bit more.
Hope that in 2017 more is going to happen and more chances of making money will appear.

How do you call a year of bitcoin?

For me 2016 is already a year of bitcoin because we have witness and seen that there is a big progress as evidence by the abrupt price increase, if you will look at the figure you can tell that we have a good increase of price this year alone.
