This year is not good at all for altcoins especially new projects that got dumped badly in the market. Some of them might never rise again and they will go down the drain. Those that will later see light are those that are strong with a working products that has real life usecase.
in 2018, it is not necessary to count on anything since this year was completely dictated by bears

A lot of coins are getting dumped this year. True this year gave the altcoins a lot of exposure but it also meant that it brought a lot of newbies into the market who did not understand how the coins worked and now they are all dumping the coins that they got when the market was still in the bull. It has been a bittersweet year for altcoins.
Last year in these times, i was thinking that 2018 would be the year of altcoins rise. But i was wrong. 2018 has become the year of altcoins fall. Unfortunately. But i believe that in couple years, altcoins are gonna rise.

2018 is the year of bearish market because from the beginning of the year, it has been on the bottom.
but i believe crypto market will recover in the upcoming years.
Not only XRP performed great this year but a bunch of other alts as well.

Anyway @OP, 2018 was the year of correction for the crypto industry and I would not wonder if it continues through 2019 too.

just need a little patience to get the benefits that match what we want. but we have to learn which altcoin we should invest. because if we choose wrongly, then we will lose.
2019 shoudl be pretty good ICO, because there will be a lot of Ethereum-based project on the market, which could improve the situation in short terms.
I don't think so man during current market ICO projects struggle a lot during the crowdsale and even bonus pre-sale stages don't make a difference.Ethereum has a lot to do and cope with so till the Eth deals with them there will be mediocre ICO sales.

Altcoins will not be defeated, but most of them should be destroyed because they are just trash and nobody needs them. I hope that cleanup will happen soon.

So yeah if we speak about alts once again I'd say - yes, this is the year of altcoins for sure. That's right! In 2018, there were (and still will be) a lot of altcoins. But most of these altcoins are scams!
I doubt it. Everything fall so dip right now. For me, as long as bitcoin remain the king of cryptocurrency and its value was being manipulated, I don't believed altcoins will boom. We know that the potential value of altcoins are still depend in the value of bitcoin. There will be no year for altcoins if bitcoin value is dip.

2018 is not yet finish. We cannot really say the year 2018 is the year for altcoin to get dump and forgotten. Remember last year that many people predict that bitcoin price will not cross 10k usd before the end of 2017 but the opposite happened. Bitcoin price was trading near 20k usd before the end of the year 2017. Also many altcoin gave people better ROI than bitcoin.And I cannot wait for Mcafee to eat his own ** on live television. 2020 will be the best year.
