Pakistan is doing great, it will be an easy win for them. It is bringing much excitement into the world cup which seems to be finished.

Things are changing in the WC now . As ystd England lost and today Nz on verge of losing the match and this brings back the chances of Bangladesh and Pakistan to enter the semis also open up and may surprise the top 4 teams .

I don't mind if Bangladesh lifts the world cup in this edition, this team deserve their first World cup. that's the another debate that their fan will troll everyone after winning the World Cup Cheesy (fortunately and unfortunately no limit there, still remember their Nagin dance lol )
I bet no one will troll, will Bangladesh win the world cup  Grin
Kidding, Nagin dance was a kind of celebration, nothing else at all. We often see some sort of celebration from WI.
However, it's true that after the 2015 world cup, we have selected India as our enemy in cricket, although I still support Indian Cricket Team after Bangladesh. In one of the matches, we were a victim of wrong decision of Aleem Dar, people here think it was India who did the job behind. It was told India played with 12 people. That's why people do some extra troll if the opposition is India. By the way, Indian people do the troll as well, we all have some people who take sports too personally and start to troll each other.

I agree; the best part of 1992 Pakistani team was the captaincy of Imran Khan. However, if they were really that good, why did they lose the three matches of that world cup out of the first five? Plus, they were defeated by West Indies as well in the first match of the world cup, so it's not like that they were totally unbeatable back then.

Their bowling was the best, but their batting was not up to the mark. I was 2 years old in 1992 and I don't really remember these matches. What little information I have about these matches come from the highlights that I have watched in YouTube. Back then both India and Pakistan were famous for scoring at snail's pace. The only exception was Inzamam-ul-Haq, who used to keep a strike rate of 70 plus.

Wow, New Zealand seems to be in real trouble right now, five wickets down on just 90 runs. Amazing stuff by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan.

Defeating the undefeated Kiwis, just like in 1992. Wink

You can't even compare the Pakistan team of 1992 to the current one. Back then they had the best pace attack, which included legends such as Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Aaqib Javed. Even teams such as West Indies (Curtly Ambrose / Malcolm Marshall) and South Africa (Allan Donald / Brian McMillan) couldn't manage such a star studded bowling lineup.

It looks like Pakistan has rejuvenated after their defeat against India and with the changes they made in the team after that are paying off and with the way things are going it looks like 230 would the targeted score New Zealand are trying to reach and Pakistan can maintain the pressure and take wickets then they could fold them easily and if Pakistan can play carefully against the swinging deliveries of Boult then they can win the match and the chances to get to the knockout is a possibility.

Same here. I'd also want either New Zealand and England to lift this trophy but both of them had shown some weak spots. England lost with Australia which was defeated from India and New Zealand nearly lost from South Africa a low profile team. Today's match between Pakistan and New Zealand would explain a lot.

England performed well during the initial set of matches, but their batting is looking very weak now. New Zealand also started well, but they are also unable to maintain their momentum. I would love to see another Australia vs New Zealand final this time, but the chances are for an Australia vs India showdown. The ICC wants the latter, as that would do good for their revenue targets. For today, I expect New Zealand to win. Otherwise it will give Pakistan a lifeline for the semifinal spot.

Australia are now in a strong position to retain the World Cup if they continue to play this way.
No doubt Aussies are playing great and have the possibility to lift the cup this time also. But I really don't want to see them lift the cup this time, because it's enough lifting the cup for them, they won several times. Tbh, I don't want India to win as well for the same reason...

In this world cup 2019, I really want to see a new team to lift the cup. Maybe England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, I'm talking about the possible options here. Though Bangladesh chances are very slim in this regard.

My post is no way to hurt Australian and Indian supporters -- please don't get me wrong, I just expressed my thoughts, I just want to taste a new WC stat.  Smiley

I was supporting and rooting for English team since last year but it seems like they don't want to lift the World Cup Tongue and English are more happy that Crowd booing Warner-Smith duo and letting them know that Ashes is coming, booing already backfired.

Warner is starting to become the game changer for Australia as since he has been back he hasn't missed a beat. Australia are now in a strong position to retain the World Cup if they continue to play this way. England on the other hand are in danger of missing out on the finals losing two matches in a row and have two tough games coming up against India and New Zealand, if they lose both matches they will open up the door for teams Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the team I said that can make the finals Bangladesh.

Shoaib Malik has already announced his retirement from ODI after the world so it does not matter much to him how he play. He is not sincere to the team and did not deserve to be included in the World cup squad.
I think his inclusion in the team has something to do with Sania Mirza.
Not sure what kind of conspiracy theory is that, what does Sania Mirza has to do with the Pakistan cricket team selection, a player can be out of form and that does not mean that he is not sincere in playing the game, i have seen many tabloids making stories after the loss of Pakistan against India and then linking the dedication of Shoaib Malik to the team as he went out with his wife Sania Mirza to have food the day of the match and so on  Cheesy.

Wow, the English team seems to be in real trouble. 4 wickets down on just 96, and they still need about 190 runs to win this one. Let's see if Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes are able to continue playing with the momentum they've gained till now. Currently, they've succeeded in getting a partnership of 44 runs.

Keep an eye on the required run rate, as it has edged past 7.00. I know that Stokes is a big hitter, but they need to score at least one run per ball if they are going to have any chance of winning this match. If they are unable to score at that rate against Stoinis and Lyon (RR for last 5 overs at 4.80), then how can you expect them to score 7 runs per over against Starc and Cummins?

England have lost the way and probably the match also as they have lost top 5 batsman on a score of just 127 runs . England would be unhappy the way things are turning in WC now as the way they started and now they aRe on losing trend .

Tomorrow is going to be a big match for the Pakistani team; if they're able to win tomorrow's match against New Zealand, their probability of entering the semi-finals will increase by a big factor. OTOH, today was a bad day for the English team; they'll love to see Pakistan losing tomorrow's match against the Kiwis, but I think that Pakistan will succeed in the upcoming match, if they're able to get rid of Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain, within his first few overs.

Another wicket gone just now ant the score is now 128/5 in 29.1 overs. And now Ben stokes and chris woakes are batting. Stokes are playing good in this word cup. But need more positive play by most of the player for wining the match. Only Stokes can not win the match alone. SO I want to say England will loss their all wicket before reaching the target,

That's so unfortunate for the English team, they are losing this game. I really wished they'd have won this word cup but with current performance I have little hope.
India and New Zealand are the only with no loses, but with last close win of New Zealand and even though their run rate are better, India clearly looks as the most strong team here.
India could be on top and Aussies second now we have to wait for for last two spots because after this defeat English team struggling for spot in last four and New Zealand is also in good form so its very interesting to watch what happening now in last few days.

Today England done very reasonable job and restrict Australia 285 which is not good enough for Australia to defend even Finch and warner play very good and give very good opening stand more then 120+ runs lets see what is response from English battling line up as now they are very hot favorite for winning this match.

Edit: look like its going to be very interesting as Australia have first wicket just on second ball of English inning.

Edit: Root gone and England 15/2 look like its Aussies day as they have very strong start of second session.
