I guess we all have more or less same 15 men squad for Indian Team. Why did you exclude Ambati Raydu(number 4) and Dinesh Kartik(chances are low for him but he can take Rishab place in the squad if Rishab get dropped)

They both are still very much in the race because Rishab pant doing nothing much and needs something extraordinary to justify his place. Indians need a solid batsman at number 4 spot because there is a very slim chance of Dhoni playing at number 4.
No matter who is playing where, I don't think Dhoni will be missed a single match from world cup team. Moreover, his recent performance is not too bad. Rayudu can be an option in the place of my list replacing Risabh but I think Virat will think much about Risabh.

Quote
I doubt that Hardik and Vijay Shankar both playing in the same match unless team management sending Vijay Shankar at 4 number.
Shankar is performing well, yes, I also have doubt about him and I mentioned a note for him. I think it will be a better idea to keep him in the XI.Yes, it will be a hard decision to keep him.

For the 4th place, I think Dhoni is a better option than anyone India have available.

Sourav Ganguly picks his Indian squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Quote
Sourav Ganguly’s 15-man India squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019:

Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper), Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav.

All looks good with Dada's squad but didn't understand the logic behind Umesh Yadav here. maybe according to dada India can use 4th seamer as well for low profile match or in case of giving rest to front line bowlers. have to check his recent interviews for his perspective.

@Raja bhai What's your home team squad? everyone only talking about the Indian team here  Shocked

as far as I know cricket is famous and the most popular game in middle east

The Middle East? I guess you're talking about South Asia, mate.

Maybe a Pakistani national living in Qatar or Dubai? Good amount of South Asian lives in the Middle East.

For India, I expect the following will be a great combination.

KL Rahul's world cup ticket is final no matter he performs or not. he's the back-up opener and Virat's fav boy. he can give up his number 3 spot for Rahul only.

I doubt that Hardik and Vijay Shankar both playing in the same match unless team management sending Vijay Shankar at 4 number.

Why in the world do you think that there is a slim chance for Dhoni to play at number 4? I disagree since I feel that there is a strong for him to play at number 4 or 5.

Hardik might be selected over Vijay though since he has proven to be far more reliable over time. Pant needs to perform in order to seal his berth in the team though.
Cricket is not only being play by India but also it is good to know now in Pakistan it is being play on high scale, as far as I know cricket is famous and the most popular game in middle east, I think so many nations are cricket lovers and as a person and Pakistani I think this 2019 cricket world cup will be for Pakistan.

Well bro for obvious reason, Dhoni doesn't like and doesn't want to bat at number 4.

In his 300+ ODI

30 times he batted at number 4
79 times at number 5
126 times at number 6
33 times at number 7

Hardik is the first choice for team management and very rightly so. he's a very good cricketer in the shorter format. his injury is worrisome tho...

Make no mistake for England this time Smiley they are very good in ODI in recent times and playing very good cricket for last 1 year or so, minus Windies tour lol
I like the term minus Windies tour LOL
Add this too:
I am very honest about it that England is very good team but minus wining a world cup ever. The luck never favoured them like South Africa.

Agree with South African's tragedy.
England is the same. No Major trophy under their belt.

It's seems these two teams are out of luck in big tournaments.

For Australian team, @Vella can help all of us, if he happens to stop by here, as far as I know, he's the only OZ who hangs out in Cricket's thread and if by any chance

I got some extra free time then will post my choice of the squad for some teams( along with England and India)

South Africa is definitely a very good team, but in big matches in the World Cup they miserably failed in the past, so there is no point of thinking that this time it would be different. My pick is India or Australia, i think both of them have got very good chance of winning 2019 World Cup.

Your welcome bhai.

Btw What's your 15 squad member for your fav teams? which is Australia and India

Could be good brain-storming Cheesy and would be great if everyone can post their respective 2 top fav's team combinations?

Will update my 15 member squad for (India and England) after the series of Ind vs Aus. Indian Squad is kept getting messy due to tons of experiment.

If possible @Vella @Royse @Raja can update their own respective home team? Australia, Srilanka (Royse bhai it's your fav team) Pakistan respectively.

If Any Pakistani or Indian want to, then they can voluntary jump here too for their home team.

Yeah, stats are not with the Indian team but when we see the ICC tournament, India is doing exceptionally well in English conditions

Read : Champion trophy 2013 : Winner
           Champion trophy 2017 : Runner-up
Okay this helps. Thank you very much to clear the doubt that was in my mind :-)
It seems in the recent years their success rate has increased in English conditions.

We have a long journey ahead of us indeed. Its interesting seeing different people's perspectives regarding their top 4 teams. Almost everyone are expecting India or England to lift the cup this year.

Agreed, and with due respect, I feel that you are dodging our previous discussion regarding top 4 teams? or you still didn't read it Cheesy just asking  Smiley

This question is passing by in my mind. India is not good in English condition from the record of course. Does anyone have any opinion in this?

Lol. Seriously? What is confusing about any of this? You seem to be the only confused person since anyone can interpret the meaning of the top 4 choices in a simple manner.

Top two obviously imply the finalists where the 2nd team is the runner up and the 3rd and 4th teams would make it to the semi-finals.

Like i mentioned i could be wrong.

You might wanna recheck the first post of this topic, posted by Royce Royse. and again clarified by Royce Royse in his recent post.

It's kind of like this. If the top one fails to win the world cup the 2nd one will win. If the 2nd one fails then the 3rd one or the forth one. :-)

This is my top four prediction for 2019 so far (If the top miss then the 2nd top may win):

Choosing top 4 teams as a finalist, semifinalist + runner up is a different setup thinking

And

Choosing the top 4 teams as their fav who can potentially lift the world is a totally different setup.

Would like to be on a same page as you guys are, that's it. don't wanna create any confusion or any misunderstanding before World cup, we didn't even chose our best playing squad for fav teams yet, we all have a long journey ahead of us  Grin

It will be if only Bangladesh win the world cup :-P

You might wanna add your fav team in that list as well Tongue
