Kevin Durant can't leave as he is under contract. If the Nets will decide to keep him, no choice for Durant but to play for the team.

There are offered by other teams but the Nets want a big return in exchange for Durant as they gamble for him.

Even Durant requested a trade, it will be hard for the Nets to just released him without a bunch of good players.

I don't know what will be the closest thing that might happen so let's wait instead.

I think Durant is mentally no longer with the team. So even if he stays for one more season, the Nets won't be able to achieve any impressive results. At the same time, I understand the Nets management in this situation and their desire to get a star player instead of Durant. Their goal right now is to keep at least some of the team's potential as they've already invested a lot of money and effort to form this hopeless big trio.

<<>> and that they'll be able to keep the most important players particularly the big 3.
As long as they are playing with great chemistry, there should be no problem with keeping the big 3.

Curry, Thompson, and Green, are the foundation of the Warriors, they keep their bond together and together they won many games and championships. No need to add Durant or any star that would make the Warriors sacrifice the key players, they have to keep the core of the team while developing the younger ones.

One thing I admire about the GSW is that they like to build their own franchise player instead of buying superstars. Jordan Poole is a gem they found in this championship run along with Andrew Wiggins. I hope they're not trading Jonathan Kuminga, he's going to be their next key player.
Sad to see Juan Toscano-Anderson ang Gary Payton Jr. went to another team. It got me thinking they're chasing for KD. Not sure though.
They wanted to stay but then they are after a better salary and Warriors can't or maybe not willing to fork it out for them. Although it's sad to see them part way with Warriors. If I were the management, i'll also do the same just to take Looney back. As well as Poole and Wiggins after their contract end. Just to free some budget.

Wiseman looking good for the Warriors in summer league. He’s blocking shots, catching alley oops and creating and draining his own 3’s. He’s looking like he may fill a need for the Warriors next year if he can stay healthy. Scary that they won it all without their best prospect. They might be an even better team next year.

I wouldn't be surprised with that, in fact, I can't remember that the Warriors have a dominant big man in the past that they succeeded to win a championship, so if Wiseman will be healthy and he will be able to contribute for the team, I think he will be the best big man on the Warriors.

He is ready. https://www.nba.com/news/james-wiseman-warriors-return-summer-league-impact

An alley-oop dunk. A blocked shot. A 3-point field goal. All in the first 69 seconds of James Wiseman’s long-awaited, much-anticipated return to NBA competition.
He wants to be back in that spotlight where the Warriors fans will cheer for him. He should not settle just because they are champions, the hunger for another should be kept alive and I bet the Warriors team is looking forward to his contributions when the season starts.
I am just imagining right now how good it will look to have Looney well-rested and so do Draymond Green. In that Finals game we saw how exhausted they are just keeping the paint protected and for the number of switches that happened including the unforgettable Looney-Tatum matchup after a switch. Looney's footwork was so good he could stay in front of him.

Just finished watching this documentary for Steph Curry titled "Silenced" by Trice High.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZuWSiWQLN0
If you are a Curry fan this will touch your heart and will feel the enormous weight that was lifted in Steph Curry's shoulder after being bashed and criticized about how he won't be back to the championship and how he cannot bring a team to the top.
The title was spot on. That's the correct word to define it all. Inspiring for NBA players that are aiming for the same goal.
"What are they going to say now?"

Thanks for the link, I will watch it later though.

But if you see Curry's emotional outburst after game 6, you will feel that something has been lifted in his shoulder winning the NBA this season when there have been a lot of chatters and noise behind team. He is not that vocal though, it as Green but they have walk the talk and so they silence all their critics with this huge win. For sure they will have to find another one just to bash or harsh critic them at the start of the new season, specially if they started on a bad note because the supporting cast has all gone now.

Curry is a great player, he will be a Hall of Famer as he continues to get better. I saw him complain when he loses in some games, instead, it only makes him stronger to make his team better. Warriors will never forget him, he will continue to make this team a championship team and I like to see Curry retire with the Warriors as he continues to make history.

I will also watch that documentary later, thanks.

Well, I thought that Kevin Durant will be leaving the Brooklyn Nets anymore, and so the rumors are true, and with this maybe Kyrie Irving will be the one left on the Nets, It is crazy how Kevin Durant isn't satisfied on every team he is on, and right now he doesn't want to settle again with the Brooklyn Nets, but for me, if there is no further announcement this will still remain a rumor to me, 2016 was his last years on the Oklahoma Thunders, while 2019 was the last years on the Golden State Warriors while in the Brooklyn Nets it could be 2022, but still, we just need to calm down for a moment there is no given announce that he will really be traded to the other teams,

Yup! but I really think this may happen if Kevin Durant is not happy with the Brooklyn Nets anymore, then I think the Nets would have to give up on him, but if the Brooklyn Nets would want a good trade for Kevin Durant bigger money and good players, and yes the Brooklyn Nets will surely want a couple of players on a team, maybe 3 players or another all-star player on that team, pretty much that will be the condition for a Kevin Durant trade but if the team that gets KD would have an existing All-star player I don't think it will go out all well for KD and that All-star player to get a long, but yeah we just need to wait instead,

Wow! that is great news and he's playing in the summer league to catch up and he smokes the Spurs with 11 pts with a pair of blocks that is something to look for when he fully returns to the regular season, and I am so excited for the Warriors young blood Jonathan Kuminga team up with Wiseman was very significant against the Spurs, with Moses Moody for the team and I don't know what to say this might be another season for the Warriors,

And they still have Kuminga and Moody, bright prospect as they have the experience from last year's champion ship run. And then Wiseman being healthy, and their steal drafts with so much potential, young team plus their core, yeah, could be a more dangerous GSW team and the league should take notice of this. And even though they have lost so much of their second unit specially Payton Jr, someone will have to fill it up with this young guys at their 20's, and it's scary.

Well, all those Rookies will eventually get better until the regular season starts and we all know the Golden State Warriors have a tendency to polish diamonds so that draft picks that the Warriors have got will eventually get them off use, Patrick Baldwin Jr. the 28 picks, Ryan Rollins the 44th picks, and Gui Santos the 55th picks, I think this young blood will surely emit great value in the future, so I am so excited for the next season,

There are still rumours about Lakers to trade Kyrie Irving with Russell Westbrook now. This rumours are making me really excited already.
Man, rumors are so exhausting. Just get it done. Kyrie trade for Westbrook in Lakers has been in the news for only God knows how long. Get it done please. In my opinion the Nets and Lakers are in bad situations and this could be a win/win for both. Westbrook is not as bad people now portray him, he was just a terrible fit in LA. He's still exciting, brings fans in and recently helped the Wizards get into the playoffs with not much else other than Beal. The Nets can't do any worse than getting swept in the 1st round, have Simmons and will get pieces for KD. Make the trade deal happen.

Yeah, I stop reading about the KD and Irving drama, too many teams are into the picture. Might be better to wait officially if KD will be traded this year or stay with the Nets until a viable team is willing to let go of their superstars in exchange of him.

Good to see a lot of former Warriors getting a good salary, it's like they hit the jackpot playing with the Warriors and winning the title. Now they are getting like at least x3 of their last salary with the Warriors if I'm not mistaken, just like in the Gary Payton contract with Portland

We've seen how the Warriors management develop their players and if these 3 will develop more in the future and will be an all-star then we will see a next generation "Big three" of the Warriors.

Wiseman has potential but his injuries hinders him to unleash his full potential on the court. I just hope that he will be more healthy next season so he can contribute to the team. Kuminga is an athletic player and many believe that he has a bright future with the Warriors and it's the same with Moody. Overall, the future of the Warriors is bright and we might include Poole and Wiggins in the conversation if they will not be traded.

They won't be traded if the Warriors area already satisfied with the current roster, maybe there will be some trade that's going to happen but I'm pretty sure it does not involve moving a lot of players or we can say that it's manageable by the organization and that they'll be able to keep the most important players particularly the big 3.

There are still rumours about Lakers to trade Kyrie Irving with Russell Westbrook now. This rumours are making me really excited already. Because Westbrook's performance in the latest season was horrible. Lebron was so alone about carrying the team to victories and they had a terrible season. This must come to an end for them. This trade can make a really huge change for this team. Irving and Lebron both would be the leaders of the team and Irving is unbelievably good when it comes to scoring too.

Honestly, fans are tired of Westbrook playing with the Lakers, and all we gonna expect if he ever stays in the Lakers this upcoming season is the same as the last season where they struggled so much to keep their records to compete in the playoff tree. Now that if the rumor is true, I have more trust in Irving playing with Lebron than Westbrook because they already proved they can be fit together and when both are healthy, they can win championships.

Not if Kyrie keeps on being unstable. He is really talented but it is not the problem with him. He is very unpredictable and constantly making getting involved in dramas that affects the team negatively. I do not think Lebron needs that on the last stretch of his career. He is not the prime Lebron that can still carry a team when his co-stars is out. He needs someone that will be constantly on the floor playing top basketball.

Sorry if this is like full sarcasm for Kevin Durant, I think the Brooklyn Nets have given Durant what he truly needs, given him the spotlight, paid him so much, and paying his Bill in his recovery for his Injury, but still he is giving this crap again in living,

Durant forget that 1 season he got paid while he still recovering, he should not ask to be traded and prove to the Nets that they made the right decision on signing him. Injury is really a big hindrance, that's why other teams does not see Durant is still the same Durant who won championships with the Warriors, I guess he will end up staying with the Nets as Nets needs to ensure they'll get the value in the trade.

They don't see him worthy to be like how he was treated before, he's more prone to injuries and that's why where it's been seen and declined by most of the teams where the Nets offered him.

I don't know if the thing I've read about Golden State Warriors is for real that they're the ones who are interested in taking back Durant and they're gonna give away Poole and Wiggins. As I've said, I don't know if that article I've seen is real or just another meme.

Well, a lot of players that are on age 30 plus are really prone to injuries, so they need to put extra care on them, well we can not blame players that get injuries because they really don't want something like that to happen, so if their going to get a injury prone Kevin Durant they better be ready for the injuries,

Well, it seems that we are reading a different article, I have seen an article of Teams that are illegible to get Durant if traded, and not really want, in an article that I have seen they don't need Kevin Durant anymore, pretty much they got no used for him,

They should just invest in younger stars that could be a potential asset to the team in the few years to come while LeBron James is there to teach the younger generations because 2 to 3 years from now, LBJ will eventually retire and leave the team.

They already did. Count the seasons where they surround Kobe with young stars until retirement. They let these young guys control the Lakers after Kobe's retirement and still what happened? Totally a failed investment and guess what, they only made the playoffs when Lebron James came to them.

Because that's what happened, the Lakers shift strategy by involving big names on their roster as the young lineup didn't work for several seasons.

The Lakers are not building a super team but if those big names show interest in playing with the team, why should they hesitate to work on that?

So should they stop on investing on young assets that could potentially make the team dangerous in the years to come? Of course, that's why it's called investment because it's not a guarantee that they would bloom and will make the LA Lakers a heavy team. That is also why I've said that they should invest now while LBJ is still in there team to guide and teach the new generations.

It's already proven that a bunch of post-prime players aren't going to make it, hype will just surround them at the start but eventually it will be a big mistake. 1 or 2 star players will suffice and others will be a role/support player.

Did I say they should stop? They just need to balance everything and not focus too much on getting young stars.

Since you mentioned "stars", it's hard to get a young stars as the majority of those are currently in-contract. They will really end up getting post-prime players or literally a young player but not on the all-star or superstars caliber yet.

Good role players are much better to pick compared to young stars.

Probably yes, those young stars are already in a contract and having them needs a bigger investment.

Unlike with role players who can play and jibe with LBJ and AD, it's still a good pick, especially if they can have
someone who can give good minutes of rest for these two stars.

Lakers are still a good competitor. They just need to have a healthy core and numbers of role players who
can play alongside with the rest of the team is the focus on this upcoming season.
