Still far from concluding the finals, I guess one series at a time, Boston as you mentioned have that advantage against those 3 squads who manage to move to the semis as they got the experienced though I guess it will be a tough final in the East as both Pacers and Knicks got that determinations to win, it's been a long time since these two squads manage to move forward and really aiming to comeback and have that chance for the season finals and if possible to win a title.

Boston aren't that solid IMO, so I think the Cavaliers here has a chance of winning the series. Seems like everyone is still so hype with Boston, yes, they have a good record this season but this is playoffs, and many times we witness how they choke, so it could also happen in this series.

This season, they met 3 times and Boston have 2-1 lead in that series.

Quote
Mar 05, '24   CLE    105 - 104
Dec 14, '23   BOS    116 - 107
Dec 12, '23   BOS    120 - 113

It's just a signle digit win but  in game 1 the Celtics are -11. I know they are fresh compared to the Cavaliers that just recently concluded its series, but currrent active roster of the cavaliers won't give up easily, they proved that on their game 7 come back win.

I would not conclude early because Boston also have weakness, but I feel the cavaliers are more deserving to face them as they have big lineup to give Boston some problem in the paint. Mitchell has been carrying a heavy load but just one game, win it and they'll get to the next level. So far in this series, either teams win their home teams so I would not deviate on that trend, instead I will just follow where the money is.

Boston only weakness is their choke potential when facing strong contender. Right now, No team in the east can give them that much pressure since all of the team that has a solid roster like Bucks and 76ers are already eliminated due to the absence of star players.

Current Boston with Porzingis as center feels like hell to beat by team like Cavs that only relying to Mitchell. I doubt that he can keep up against the pressure which the Boston players can give against them.

Boston may choke again in the NBA finals but not on any matches within EC.

True. Miami without Butler, Bucks without Giannis and Philly are all eliminated in the first round. The current remaining teams are a little inexperienced and Boston should be able to handle them. I expect Boston to win 4-0 or 4-1 against the Cavs.

I can smell Boston heading back to the finals once again. For now, I am rooting for Denver because the team has the championship experience and has a great line up. But if Denver lose to Minnesota then I think Boston gets their long awaited title this season.

Caris LeVert is the sparker. That's what I thought in 1st half when he came in, he will show something that will lift the spirits of the Cavs team. 15 bench points from him and he truly helped the Cavs to avoid the early blowout.
19 points (or is it 20?) led by the Magic and I saw how bad the Cavs are playing on the offensive end. Evan Mobley keeps on losing the ball underneath the rim and Garland was obviously feeling the pressure of a Game 7 playoffs.
But, Donovan Mitchell didn't give up on him, he gave him some inspirational words and when he hit the three-point shot from a second chance, that's when he saw some light and his team loved every bit of it.
Truly, there are a lot of stories behind that Orlando Magic versus Cleveland Cavaliers series.
Now, it will be Celtics versus Cavs, not much rest for Mitchell and I hope Allen will be back before that series ends.

He deserve it.

The last time they've played against the Magic, he did everything with all his might but ain't enough. This time, he's able to push it and they're going to be against Celtics.

But who's going to be your series winner on them? I bet most are going to be with the Celtics.
The home team won every game in this series which shows you that home field advantage is a real thing. I wasn't shocked to see this series go 7, but it ends here. Boston is just too big for them. I feel like a gentleman's sweep is going to happen for the next series. Tatum and Brown are going to run all over Cleveland.

Dominican Mitchell really came through for the Cavs. That guy has another gear when it comes to the playoffs. If he were a couple inches taller… I wonder where he’ll end up next year.

I really enjoyed the game last night. It was obvious that the Timberwolves were going to give the Nuggets problems. They won the home court advantage in the first game and sent a serious message. Ant-man played very special. Gobert and Towns were good. Naz Reid proved why he won the 6th man award. I'm sure Murray and Jokić will be much more motivated in the second game.
Nuggets can't find a good match up with Wolves twin towers and they are been totally demolish by scoring power of Edwards that's why they get a first game lost for game one. Also their role players really know how to play according to their roles given that's why its impressive to see this team perform this season especially they scored a upset lose for the defending champs. Imagine how Nuggets will adjust on this so for sure game 2 would be exciting.

Dominican Mitchell? Cavs new player? just kidding OG Grin

Donovan is always impressive and he always show some amazing performance to guide Cavs towards next round on playoffs and few people expect them to go that far  since what people think earlier on this season that Cavs is young and unexperienced team.

The Magic are starting to pull away. Cleveland better get it together or their season is about to end. They need some Donovan Mitchell playoff magic but so far he’s shooting 20% from the field so this Cavs experiment is about to end I think.

Only 1 game later which is the final game 7 between the Cavaliers and Orlando. The only series in the first round that went the full 7 games. Both teams won at home so the Cavs are favored here. I thought Cavs will beat Orlando easily and the other series games like Dallas-Clippers and Phoenix-Twolves are the ones heading to game 7. But whoever wins the series will probably has the most difficult task because Boston Celtics looked ruthless this season. Boston remained the favorite to crown as champion since the start of the season until this playoffs.

Whoever wins that series is getting housed by Boston.  Boston are easily going to take the first 2 games at home against either one.  Cavs are soft inside I think they would actually have a worse chance than orlando.  True can lock up Donovan and then it's downhill from there offe.sively for them.  Tatum and Brown will feast on their defense.  It might go 5 but I can't see any longer than that.

Ant getting 43 points on 59% shooting carried the Timberwolves tonight. If he keeps this up the Timberwolves go all the way.

That coupled with 1 steal and 2 blocked shots, he literally played 42 mins and had just 1 turnover despite being primarily guarded KCP all night long. The Timberwolves has everything that the Lakers lacked against the Denver Nuggets which is a team effort organized defense and the ability to stay oriented in a game for 48 minutes. If Timberwolves should get as opportunities as many the Lakers had with multiple double digits lead in each game before before fumbling it, this would be another 4-0 series sweep for the Wolves.

Jokic were able to put the bigs of the Timberwolves in foul trouble but the other stepped up, so it's hard for the Nuggets to beat a good team. They need to make the right adjustment in game 2, Murray should start strong not what he showed in that game where he was scoreless in the first half.

It was a winnable game by the Nuggets, their strategy wasn't just effective in that game, plust the Timberwolves are also shooting well outside, especially coming from  Conley, Reid and Edwards.
"To have a duplicate of myself"
That's what Jokic said to the reporter when asked about the bigs of the Timberwolves.

It's pretty obvious that he's having a hard time taking the 7-footers of the Timberwolves but he's still putting monster numbers and almost a triple-double in Game 1. The X-factor is Edwards for me. Nobody can stop him, and the Nuggets need to do something to at least lessen his production. They let him score 43 points which is his career playoff-high, and I expect him to be that explosive in the future games. Nevertheless, I agree with what you said that it's a winnable game, and Murray is having a bad night on this one as well. I don't think that the Nuggets will lose in Game 2 although there's a chance still. A sweep with this one? Nah it will not happen that's for sure.

Minnesota is likely the only team in the West that has a chance at taking out Denver. Lakers kept games close, but they just weren't consistent enough to take the champs out. I would like to see this series go 7 games for the simple fact that those will be 7 really good games. Anthony Edwards is electric to watch, super explosive, and an all around awesome player. Combine that with Jokic and his amazing skills and you have a hell of a series.
The Timberwolves have the best defensive rating in the whole regular season with 109.0. Even the Suns' big 3 is having a hard time on these pesky defenders.
TBH, I also agree with what you said that if there's any team in the West that can match up with the Nuggets, it's the Timberwolves. They have 3 7-footers, they are not at the top when it comes to offensive ratings, but like what the famous quote says, "Offense wins games, defense wins championships". The Timberwolves have it all to win it all in the West, and I will not be surprised if this series will reach 7 games.

I agree and the same thing that I want to see them go head to head up to game 7.

This is like a grand finals/championship to be honest.

As for the Antman, debates are telling that he is gonna be the next face of the league.

I'm hoping to see a game 7 because I have my money on the Minnesota. However, I think aside from Minnesota, I think the Dallas Mavericks are also capable of beating the Nuggets. In fact, I have my money as well on the Dallas to beat the OKC in the series. Of the teams in the West now so far, I like the Dallas more because of uncle Drew, he is healthy and been playing unbelievably well, and with Luka, for sure they can compete to any team that are still not out in the playoffs now.

I smell another sweep, LOL.. If the Wolves could do that to the defending champion, there's no reason they can't win the championship. They are new to the playoffs especially Edwards but they seemed to be very smart enough in the crunch time, I like how they keep attacking the paint and gave Jokic a huge problem. However, just like they said, this is a 7 game series, the result of game 1 does not dictate the outcome of this series, so relax and enjoy the series as definitely the Nuggets have plans to win game 2 to even the series.

Too early for that, Nuggets is not the Suns, so it's not going to be that easy. Not because the Nuggets losses one game on their home court means they are already behind big time in the series. It's still one game, doesn't matter if it's on the home court or the road, because I believe the Nuggets are also capable of winning games on the road. The game wasn't really fully dominated by the Timberwolves, so just some minor adjustment and everything will be alright for them. However, if they loss in game 2, then I guess that's another story and I can't back my statement anymore.
