After Golden State put on a show last night I’m looking forward to some more quality NBA basketball tonight. The Lakers are playing the Bucks on ESPN, so it’ll be one to watch. Looks like still no LeBron after missing 7 games as he is still listed day to day and no update on Nunn’s situation. Should be an easy win for the Bucks, but we’ll see…

The Lakers are a hot mess so I wouldn't bet on them winning. Westbrook is inefficient and everyone else is way past their prime since all the young talent got traded. Not a great look for them.

I think they have the talent to win, they just aren't be utilized well.  Howard should be starting and getting more minutes.  Monk shouldn't be taking shots down the stretch.  Westbrook needs to be allowed to do what he does and needs something to do when he isn't doing what he does...  Once LeBron and Nunn come back there had better be some changes or else the coach will be long gone...

Yeah, another loss by the Lakers, they don't shoot so bad but unfortunately, they cannot stop Giannis who scored 47 points this game.
This is the Bucks that won the championship last season, they have Middleton back already so it's really a tough challenge for the Lakers to beat them on
their home.

Same with the Nets.  Their coach is not utilizing their guys correctly at all.  Aldridge didn't even play the first half last night against the Warriors when they needed him to make a size mismatch.  Terrible coaching.
Coach Nash he made a mistake on that game but overall Nets are still good because they are rank number 2 in the East already, next to Wizards.

I don't think Steve Nash made a mistake though, he really had to sit KD and Harden down in the 4th because they just really waved the white flag at that point seeing Curry on fire and the fact that they can't really do anything else at that point, I guess Steve Nash did this to prepare for the next game, and they won today against the Cavs.

Nash made a mistake on their defense that's why they lose with a huge margin in that game, sitting KD and Harden is not anymore part of the strategy, so obviously I'm talking about the mistake before they wave the flag.

I think they just made that decision its because they already see that they will not win on that match up and its better to secure there stars rather than gamble them to chase the lead of the warriors so maybe we can see them play well on their next game. Although there's a little lapses towards coaching decision but I think its minimal only knowing Nash for sure he knows how to handle some certain scenarios in the court.

I think still boils down to Lebron James shoulder now, yeah, the Lakers are in disarray right now. Good that I didn't bet on them against Bucks, as they struggle and another close game lost for them.

Perhaps he wanted to match GSW small line-up that game, maybe he think he can also go small. But the Warriors have adapted so well without any legit center most of the time. And even if LA will be inserted, for sure Kerr will have to adjust as well.

Just a few days ago we are talking about Crypto.com in other threads and I checked it. Was shocked to see they can afford Matt Damon to be the face of their website advertisement and now the Staples Center.
I didn't believe it first because I smelled the news from a not really trusted page but when it's scattering even with Coindesk and more legitimate news websites, it becomes real.

True, they have huge money behind this company, even if UFC you can see that they have covered it too. So they are all over specially in sports wherein they know it's a billion dollar industry.

Back to NBA, two very good games that I'm watching, NYK vs Magic and then Heat vs NOP.

Both visiting teams have the lead earlier, but now the home team are coming back in the third.

Have any of you happen to read an article similar to this https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/crypto-staples-lakers-clippers-kings-arena-name-exchange-marketing-sports-2021-11%3famp

I guess the LA Lakers will no longer be using the name Staples Center for their stadium. Instead It would be called Crypto.com Center/Arena on the Christmas day.
Wow, this Crypto platform will hit more bigger in the future, and they are actually signed a 20 year naming rights. That's a long term perspective out there!

What do you guys think about it? I personally haven't used Crypto.com once but I guess this Singapore-based company is big.

First, it's Sixers that have a deal with crypto.com and now it's the Staple Center. I don't know what happened but to change the legendary and long-running Staples Center into crypto.com, requires a big stake. Not the first time though as Miami Heat also changed their homecourt name from an iconic name, American Airlines Arena, into FTX - a crypto re

On the other hand, Los Angeles Clippers is now making their own arena which is expected to commence in 2024. They will not share homecourts now with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024-25 season.

And last night, Curry's huge performance helped the team win the game a lot by 117-99. He scored 37 points.
They have no problem winning that game as they literally demolished the Nets. We might not see games like that in the future so we will never forget this battle between the two greats in the NBA and this would be a wake-up call for Durant and his team to think that the Warriors are a real deal this season.

Maybe it's time for Irving to come out and follow the protocol if he wants to help his team because as I've seen in that game, the Nets will not likely have a decent chance of beating the Warriors if both are lucky to be in the Finals.

Let's also read the statement of Nash about the loss.

https://netswire.usatoday.com/lists/brooklyn-nets-quotes-durant-harden-steve-nash-on-loss-vs-warriors/

I think that Irving isn't going to come out. He's just fine sitting on the sidelines.

He is an attention seeker and as Stephen A. has said, betrayed KD. KD has been so unlucky ever since he left GS.

...
He has a horrendous shooting night, but we should give credit to the defense of Golden State. They really scout him and the play that Nash has for him, so they are ready to trap him as far as the three point area. So it's either he gave up the ball, or has an unforced error, or shot the ball badly.

So for now, we could say that Steve Kerr has Nash's number, and the GSW really perform very well in this game as it wanting to proved that their lost was just a fluke against the Hornets.
The defensive strategy for both coaches in containing the best player in the opponent's team are not that different but Curry's hand was just too hot shooting from long range. Nets players trying to put a body early but he's also quick to drive or switch. It's really hard to stop someone playing like that.

So much respect for Curry from Durant after the Warriors made a statement by dominating the Nets.

I like the sportsmanship from Durant as he showed a friendly competition, besides they are both great players but Curry is just better in that game.

Yeah, I think that it is clear that the Warriors are going to be the team to beat in the playoffs.

Even with the stacked Nets team if they can't get their stuff together in terms of teamwork, their roster simply isn't going to work.

If the only time they can buy a bucket is if KD or Harden isolates, they are not going to make it deep into the playoffs at all.

I think the biggest game of the night was Brooklyn Nets - Golden State Warriors. Especially Warriors have been impressing people a lot by their great performance so far. I mean Curry's performance to be more specific. Because he is playing a very big role in the wins the team get. He scores so many points as he is in a great shape this season. And last night, Curry's huge performance helped the team win the game a lot by 117-99. He scored 37 points.

I think the Nets have a serious depth issue.  Once you get past Harden and Durant the drop-off is significant.  They need kyrie back on this team if they want to compete for a title, and hope these guys can all run long minutes the whole season.  Definately a little exposed when playing great teams.  They will be able to feast with Harden and Durant alone against the lesser teams but you need depth to compete.

Well that has been the case since last year, but Durant was able to carry the team in his shoulder.

But this time, it was not meant to be as GSW is ready for him and they throw a slew of defender that he wasn't able to have a good shooting night. So give credit to GSW for winning this one and checking Durant and Harden to some extent.

Forget about Kyrie, we don't know if he is going back and play, he has some personal issues to settle though and it seems that the Nets have settled down already.

Warriors beating Nets doesn't really entail anything since Nets had only 2 stars and they are not used to playing with each other all that much. They played back in OKC last time, and now they are getting together, we are all seeing how Lakers are filled with veteran superstars and they are still playing horribly, no idea why they are that bad but chemistry is the number one guess for everyone. Plus Nets do not have kyrie and that is a big missing piece for them.

Warriors on the other hand had one game style for the longest time and there is a chance Curry could have another 400+ three pointer season and their record shows 70 wins is not impossible for them, or at least it looks like that for now, but it looks like 60+ is almost guaranteed unless something changes. So when you hear both of these sides, Nets losing to Warriors was expected let alone a surprise.
