If AD and LeBron both miss the next game, the Lakers will most likely to have -2.5 again against the Thunder.

I would still take that -2.5 as the Lakers even without Lebron and Davis is still better than the OKC IMO.

Now that Westbrook already had the best game so far as a Lakers, I trust him to carry the team to another win against OKC.
Westbrook scored, 33 points, that's a huge improvement compared to his previous games, hopefully, this will continue but I also like to see Lebron and Davis be back soon.

And playing against his former team, the place where he starts his dominance.

Lakers most likely can cover that handicap if presented by the bookies, even without LeBron and Davis. Coach Vogel can use
his backup, having Rondo to facilitate and help Russ and both Melo and Howard to be ready when the ball rotates to them.

Still have a better chance to win against OKC even without both the core stars. Handicap or using ML for parlay might be a
good call for this game.

Don't play with the parlay bet if you think that Westbrook will be able to carry the Lakers to win.

Even without AD and Lebron, the Lakers still look good on paper against OKC. They can have their big 3, Westbrook+Anthony+Howard, these 3 is enough to make OKC struggle again.

We'll see what the spread ends up being.  Right now it doesn't seem to be reflected that AD is missing the game.  The biggest takeaway is that Russell Westbrook can put up big numbers in a Lakers uniform (even if he was snatching rebounds away from Dwight Howard).  On another play Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis were fighting over a rebound that caused it to go out of bounds...  I think as the season progresses the stat stealing might become an issue, but we'll see.  Carmelo, Dwight, LeBron, & Westbrook all playing with their legacy in mind could lead to some frustrations.

New Poll Question: Which start is impressive?
-Chicago Bulls

Bucks, Jazz, Warriors? Its expected that they will start impressive.

Hornets and Bulls are the ones that is unexpected especially the Bulls who are first right now in the East. Its good to see that their chemistry has been built very easily knowing that they acquired many players such as Derozan, Ball, Caruso etc. However, the first 4 games of Bulls are the teams that are below 500 last season and not that much has changed to their roster. Lets wait for them to match up against stronger teams or the teams above 500 last season. Its surprising still for them to start 4-0.

Still Jazz in the end, it seems the Denver is not clicking very early in the season, they've lost to the Cavs and now Jazz in back to back games. Not looking good for the reigning MVP.
Yes, I watched the game early in the 3rd and didn't saw him play. I just heard Reggie Miller saying he will not play for the whole game thinking he was absent or not feeling good. Checked later on and was shocked that something bad happened with him and Gobert clashing their knees.
Recent updates says it was a "right knee contusion". Sounds bad but according to Coach Malone it doesn't look too serious.
He made 24 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists for just 15 minutes of game time. Wow! Something good could've happened if not for the clash.
Luckily, their next game will be on Saturday and he will have time to rest it.

Anyone watching the OKC vs GSW match?

It's seems that OKC is playing very good up to this point (2nd quarter). Curry started very slow missing a lot of shots but he hits 2 consecutive 3 before the end of the first quarter.

But the lead is 10++ for OKC, I have GSW -7.5 in this game in a parlay. Hopefully they can still pull through in the second half and cover that spread.
We have the same bet. The lead is 8 and we are on the brink of losing the bet.  Grin Lucky the Warriors team did their miracle 3rd quarter come back which is their signature and just took care of the lead at the 4th quarter. I am happy Steph is getting help from his team mates like Wiggins, Poole, and Lee.
But their consistency should stay to make it easier for everyone until Klay comes back.
Still watching Nuggets vs Jazz and they are banging each other with the lead going back and forth.

I think it was Lee and then Otto Porter putting in a shooting touch late in the 3rd quarter for a miracle comeback by the GSW.

Lucky for you, it was enough to cover the spread, otherwise it will be a disappointment.

Still Jazz in the end, it seems the Denver is not clicking very early in the season, they've lost to the Cavs and now Jazz in back to back games. Not looking good for the reigning MVP.

Who else wins Lakers -2.5 or -3 spread? Lol
I can say the Lakers is really struggling early in this season, they even nearly cost this game even with the Spurs missing 4 straight free throws. Lakers might be lucky the Spurs were even missing more free throws down the stretch.

Well, for sure AD will miss tomorrow's game as he went grabbing his knees during the last minute play in the 4th quarter.
If AD and LeBron both miss the next game, the Lakers will most likely to have -2.5 again against the Thunder.

Just a change of topic. And for all sneaker heads out there:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CVbD4g2PFUf/

A rare Michael Jordan shoes sold for $1.47 Million in an auction in Las Vegas.

Quote
The most valuable sneakers ever offered at auction—Michael Jordan's game-worn and autographed Nike Air Ships from 1984—sold today for $1.47 million in our Icons of Excellence & Haute Luxury auction in Las Vegas.

Attributed to Jordan’s 5th NBA game in his rookie season on November 1, 1984, the sneakers are the earliest regular season pair from Jordan’s career in the NBA to come to market, and are a precursor to the genesis of the Air Jordan line.

These White & Red Air Ships are a remarkable artifact in the history of sports and basketball, and have been kept in excellent condition by the Denver Nuggets Ball Boy they were originally gifted to, Mr. Tommie Tim III Lewis.

As a OG sneaker head my self, I want this to my collection. LOL. And that's what you get from taking care of Jordan shoes throughout the years and it could really be worth millions. There was some Jordan 3 Black Cement restored by Vick Almighty of Reshoevn8r with Jordan signature as well.

No LeBron tonight for the Lakers. He was held out last minute with an ankle injury. He was questionable before that and I’d hoped he’d still play. It might be a good thing for the Lakers after his defensive effort last game, but it’s early in the season to be getting hit with a test like this. At least it’s against the Spurs where they should be able to win anyway.  Cry

Does anyone notice how good this rookie is?

‘I’m taking him every time’: Kings rookie Davion Mitchell is already turning heads

I like this guy and for me, he is my best bet to win as the rookie of the year.
He is still a rookie but he is a good defender, I was watching the highlights against the Utah Jazz and I saw how he was able to put a lockdown kind of defense on Clarkson and Mitchell, actually, they are not related to Donovan but this guy is really exciting to watch for.

I also watched his highlights yesterday and he really looked good on 1v1. His style could work well against guards who loves to dribble and drive inside a lot. Other teams will probably take note of that and set screens every time he's on to their top guard.

I'd like to see how good he is against top shooters.

New season started and teams did two to four matches. Which teams start is more impressive? I changed the poll, please vote and write your reasons here.
For me, Bulls 4-0 start is pretty impressive. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Nikola Vucevic have a good chemistry. I don't know if they go on like this but this is their best start since 25 years. It's also nice to see DeRozan get more recognition he deserves.

Yeah, the Bulls' results at the start of the season are impressive. However, it's worth noting that they played these four games against weak teams, and everything can change during the season. Anyway, it seems that the Bulls have great potential, and I won't be surprised if they reach at least the first round of the playoffs.

The odds was +3500 for Chris Duarte winning the ROY.

The top favorite based on the betting odds is Jalen Green with +200, while Davion Mitchell is +1800.
Both Davion Mitchell and  Chris Duarte have wonderful odds but check the ranking now and see who is more consistent.

Too early as there are many more games and all those names have their respective opportunities to keep showcasing their talents.

I see how dedicated those young stars and with more exposures they are capable of bringing more hypes, just need to be more extra careful, injuries

can ruin their careers. It's better to keep playing the game without rushing things out. Improving from time to time with a healthy career is far better

than quick fame and suffer in major injuries that will take your future away.

I also think that the Bulls had a very good start. I don't know about their history, but in this season particularly, they are looking in very good shape. They have shown very good chemistry among themselves and even the substitute rotations also have been good from the coach. One thing I have seen this season is that teams having better chemistry (like the Bulls) are having better results than teams having quality players (like Lakers). I just hope they can hold onto their good form till the end of the season.

Yes, I do agree that Bulls looks very impressive this season. Last night, they have been tested by the pesky Raptors but still they come up with a victory. Not saying that Toronto is a good team, but they really push the Bulls to it's limits, coming back to close the game in the last 7 minutes. But DeRozan was cool and score 6 points and then they played solid defense, as Caruso gets 2 steal as well. And there's a lot of improvements for them making the Bulls very dangerous team in the East right now.

Honestly Charlotte's start has surprised me.  I was skeptical of lamely and his game but that kid is strong, and the rest of the team is more than solid.  They might not go to the finals but they will be a tough out night in and night out.  Warriors killing it to start out has surprised me too.  They look real good right now. Nobdoy wants to play steph right now.

It's too early to tell but I also believe that he is a good steal by the Sacramento Kings and the failing career of Luke Walton, that's what I read online. I also watch his highlights and he is playing with high confidence, and with that, it's very exciting to watch him play and I hope that he will remain healthy all throughout the season.

Yeah he is pretty decent but we are only a couple games in.  Evan mobely will be a double double machine.  And when cade gets healthy he is going to get a lot of minutes and be the focus of the offense so he will have a lot of opportunities.  My dark horse is chris duarte to compete for Roy too.

The odds was +3500 for Chris Duarte winning the ROY.

The top favorite based on the betting odds is Jalen Green with +200, while Davion Mitchell is +1800.

https://hashtagbasketball.com/nba-rookie-rankings

Yeah duarte needs to bring his % up a bit.  Look out for scottie Barnes too he will get a lot of burn this year and the kid has game that transitions well in the NBA.

Jalen green will be fine but will take him so.e time to figure it all out.  He is a bit inefficient right now.

At +3500 I might take a stab at that.  He will have the points to compete for it, it will just be determined on how efficient he is.  Splashy offensive numbers wins ROY awards.  Nothing else really gets baked in.
