I can totally see a not great season for Lakers as it doesn't seem that this team have the chemistry between the players so don't expect much from them. Yea , they will reach play offs and stuff but they will not have a long run in it.

Bad start yeah, but we can't judge them after 2 games (well including the pre-season, which was not so serious). Chemistry is a big problem for the Lakers right now as Westbrook seemed out of sync in the Laker system.
They also have struggled offensively, even free throws.
I'm not sure but I guess the Lakers seems a bit overwhelmed by how strong the roster is when you look at the paper.

Let's just see what happens in their next games.

They'll have a game tomorrow, what do you think, can they finally get a win here?

The Lakers are still playing on their home court, I guess this is the 3rd defense on their home and they need to win here.
Memphis are also playing well, they beat the LA Clippers and they are in a back to back game, so it's a chance for the Lakers to take advantage on it.

What do you think guys? are they capable of getting into the playoffs after winning this game?

A one-game can't decide the overall outcome.

Regarding their chance to make it on the playoffs, can't conclude right away as we have only seen roughly 2-3 games played by teams this season. For the record, Memphis Grizzlies always finished at the bottom of the standing in the competitive Western Conference. They got into playoffs last year but go thru via play-in tournament. Unfortunately, got eliminated by the Utah Jazz in the first round and only manage to get 1 win. Take note, prior to that, their last playoffs appearance was way back in 2017. That's how they struggle in Western Conference.

LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies has started I wanted to see another dunk like this.

Don't worry. You will see lots of dunk highlights like that courtesy of Ja Morant throughout the season.

Can't forget about the Bulls though, you got some highflyers on that roster as well, you got Caruso, DeRozan, LaVine, Green and Zo.  Cool

This season is packed with some crazy highflyers from each roster, I'm still waiting for Jalen Green's first highlight dunk.

Even in the Cavs side there are a lot of high flyers as well, such as Jared Allen. I also loved what Bernie is doing, putting three 7'0 footers at the same time and clogged the middle. And it was a comeback win for the Cavs, as the Hawks leads as much as 12 points and then they come back slowly. I love how Sexton and Okoro covered Trae Young in this game. They really gave him a hard time and it really help that the offensive player initiating a contact is no longer a foul on the defensive player as Trae is known for this.

Why do you believe this? Could you tell us why!!?

I think it's too early for us to conclude this, the season started very shortly and I believe, maybe the Lakers will need time and several games to adjust and have the necessary chemistry between them!

By the way, I was very surprised with Melo's performance in the game against the Suns, he came from the bench and scored 16 points!  Smiley Smiley

^That Chicago Bulls team is filled with highlights.
Let's not forget Lonzo Ball too, he may not be that high flyer but he is also a magnet to highlights like how wise the play he did in the preseason on the brink of a backcourt violation. I just recently watched it and I was shocked how fast his mind could work out a way to escape that problem.
I doubted him before as just a hype of his father but I can see how hardworking he really is and I think he will be the chess piece that would take this Bulls team in the higher seed.
Here is the clip of the IQ play that he did.

Tonight it is time for Pacers to take their first win as they deserved to win both of them their first 2 games as last night they manage to comeback after and still manage to lose in ET...

Woah, hold on there mate, 3 games ain't enough to define the whole season and playoffs for a team, right now the Lakers are on adjustment mode, you can see that these are not your typical young fresh players, these are somewhat considered veterans at their 30's, they've been stuck on a playstyle that is self-centered, Russ is an example of that playstyle, he got used to being the center of attraction and now he's having difficulties, LeBron is a great distributor but it's a bad idea teaming those two up on the same lineup, Russ needs to redeem himself personally as I think he is one of the reasons why the Lakers are struggling in the past few games, the season has just begun, they have plenty of time to fix these issues.

I even watched AD and Howard tussled with each other during timeout, this is a clear reason why I had doubts with the Lakers but the potential is definitely there.

Paul George dominated the game and they still lost. Maybe Memphis is better than I had given them credit for, but the Clippers look like they’re in trouble without Leonard. Pretty hard to believe when just a couple years ago they were huge favorites as the next big super team. They really underperformed expectations. It seems like the leagues journeyman like Westbrook, Anthony, George, Harden, DeAndre Jordan, never quite find themselves the success they search for. That only seems to work for LeBron and Durant.

It's too early for that. I am not a Lakers fan but if these players can rebuild their chemistry thru all the hardship playing against strong teams then it might be worth it in the long run.
We can't just conclude the ending because of the undeveloped start. It's not easy putting different players in one team and working it out in a blink.
Anyway, I have my bet on the Suns but the Trail Blazers are banging them up with CJ and Powell raining offense.

Why not wait till the regular season and then conclude if there is a chemistry problem or not, Lol.

Lakers is already good in paper, they've already won a ring with Lebron and AD and coach Vogel. So they know the formula for success already. Just because they are 0-2 with some drama surrounding AD and Dwight means that they are going to struggle the whole of regular season. Lebron has the winning attitude and even before the start of the season, he and the Lakers have been criticise already. So it's really up to him to prove that they are all wrong. And that is the fuel for him, and for sure they are going to bounce back and he will carry the Lakers again.

So let's say, what if the Lakers won against the Grizzlies? People will now say there's now chemistry. Then if lose the next game, they don't have chemistry again and repeat...

My point here is, let's not assume right away what's happening on the Lakers just because of the current status of their run. We can somehow give our wild and fearless forecast maybe after the All-Star where it marked the halfway of the NBA season.

The Lakers veterans already know what's happening and they are fully aware of what are things need to be done. But honestly, should not be a big deal. It's just that most people are eyes on them but I'm not even considering them as a team to beat. The majority of their core players are already past their prime. They are playing thru experience as their foundation.

There might be a problem but for 2 games, no way we can conclude that the Lakers will struggle all season. For me, it's best to just watch the Lakers while in the progress of working on that chemistry. I know it's slow compared to other teams but soon, it can be worked out. People are just expecting too much on the Lakers because they are one of the favorites to win the title this season. They can start 0-10 but still not a reason to consider them as a team that won't have a great season.

Well, they will be facing the Grizzlies next, who is 1-0, they really needed a win and not fall to 0-3 at the start of the season. They need to get back on track and forget all the Davis and Howard scuffle. Maybe Howard says something to Davis that the latter didn't like. And this game against Grizzlies will be at Staples, so they have the home court and the fans behind them to see their first win this season. Lebron will take over this game and hopefully we can see Westbrook unlock his potential as a Lakers in this game.
It's worth noting that the Grizzlies look good, considering their performances in preseason games and in the first game of the regular season. I mean, they are not an easy opponent. So the Lakers could suffer a third defeat in a row if they don't find a way to improve mutual understanding on the court as soon as possible. It seems that this season will be hard for coach Vogel. Undecided

I agree, it won't be an easy game for the Lakers here as Grizzlies is also a solid team.

Although they are favoured in ML, they are not in the handicap, so this is still a tricky match for NBA bettors. So I wouldn't be surprised if Lakers find their way on a 0-3 deficit, not alarming but still there are a lot of expectations from this team with all the veterans surrounding Lebron and AD.

Don't give up yet, it's still too early to say that, they only lose 2 games in the regular season that's not even 10% of the total games they played. They already understand that and they are frustrated with it, therefore expect that they will find a way to fix the problem as their mission to win a championship is still there.

This is what I'm thinking, they just needed to win one game to keep the ball rolling. If they tasted a victory then all the pressures are alleviated, it's that the so far the two teams that they have face in the West is one of the best, leading scorer Steph and GSW and then the Suns who finished runner up last year. So winning is very important to them right now, and hopefully they can get one in the road or in their home and maybe the complexion of the team will change to positive.

We have to remain optimistic although the Lakers are winless in the preseason and regular season. This series is long, they can continue to make an adjustment and I believe they also understand how necessary it is to start winning again. They have not experienced being in the winning track yet, so they will not be back there, hehe.. but man, I hope this Laker team whom we thought would really be a good championship team has to wake up and start working to win.
