Finally, the Lakers had their first win, but, it was a close game and they almost lose this game.

Westbrook is still below his standard, only scored 13 points but I'm glad Melo bring back the clock and he was the leading scorer of the team with 28 pionts and 6-8 shooting from 3, that was insane.  Smiley

It's normal that Westbrook will perform that below average because there's a lot of other player capable on doing his role on La roster. Lakers is very greedy and I hope they will suffer an inside competition. I don't know what's happening to NBA but it looks like they are always turning a blind eye when LBJ is forming a super team and leaving other team suffer from lack of experienced player.

I really understand why LBJ recruit  melo because they are same batch. But why the heck they keep recruiting veterans player like Westbrook and Jordan on there roster.

Lakers still not out of the clutches of Grizzlies, 106-102.

James and Monk hit back to back 3's. But the Grizzlies responded back with a 5-0 run in the last minute or two. So it's going to be another close game and Lakers although has the lead is not sure of taking their first win tonight. Last 5 minutes, anything can happen so let's see how it goes.

An intense close game in dying minutes and the Lakers got the win in the end. Still, a big effort for Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant producing 40 big points, and his support manage to get a double-digit scoring. On the Los Angeles Lakers side, Westbrook still having difficulty finding his rhythm but is still able to make a double-double notably with his 13 assists. Carmelo Anthony also has a good percentage tonight.

The Lakers now get their 1st win since pre-season. The question now is consistency on which I know they will work on it while on progress.

The Lakers really needed that win.  They barely snuck it out on the back of Carmelo Anthony's team leading 28 points on 10-15 shooting.  I'm glad he's already off to such a great start in his new role.  Westbrook's 9 turnovers and 33% fg shooting isn't getting it done.  He needs to figure out what's going on.

Ja was the star of the game though.  Making those old guys look like it's time to retire out there.

Indeed a much needed win. That was a close one for the Lakers if they've gone overtime.
Melo surpassed another milestone of his career and he seems like he's gonna have to make a lot of shot with this Laker roster as the opponent's defense will always be diverted leaving him for a wide open shot.
While Westbrook should limit his turnovers, he somehow manage to make a double digure assist.

Ja on the other hand is in a completely different level, he's unstoppable. He seems like an upgraded young D.Rose.
I can tell by this early, he's going to be an MVP candidate this season.

Lakers got the win indeed, but it was a very difficult process just to get in the winning column. It's so close that they didn't covered the initial spread (-4.5). Ja Morant had another 30+ games in just his 3rd game of the seasons.

Lakers got 6 players in double digit, but it was a chess match in the last 40 seconds and the good thing is that they didn't missed their FT. So finally, they got the needed W in their column. But still a long way to go for the team to live up to the hype.

Watching the Nets vs Hornets game and it’s so weird seeing LaMelo Ball out there playing against Durant and Harden. It seems like he shouldn’t fit in but he holds his own. It’s crazy such an immature kid can be out there with greats putting on a show. It doesn’t seem right. but it’s happening. That kid has surpassed all my expectations for him by quite a bit already.

But he proved himself time and time again that he can bang shoulders with this greats like Durant and Harden. So he is improving so has improved a lot now and gaining confidence and maybe he is no longer the immature kid we know of him in the social media. As he might be hitting the start of his prime years. So yeah, he exceeds our expectations now and hopefully he can continue to mature and progress and maybe in the next 3-5 years at his prime. But he needs to go somewhere else to be able to get at least a ring and not waste his prime years.

Bad start yeah, but we can't judge them after 2 games (well including the pre-season, which was not so serious). Chemistry is a big problem for the Lakers right now as Westbrook seemed out of sync in the Laker system.
They also have struggled offensively, even free throws.
I'm not sure but I guess the Lakers seems a bit overwhelmed by how strong the roster is when you look at the paper.

Let's just see what happens in their next games.

The last conflict between Davis and Howard showed that the Lakers have bad chemistry not only because of Westbrook. Regarding upcoming games, the Lakers should have a winning streak because they will play against weak teams like the Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, and Cavs. As I said earlier, they may only have problems with the Grizzlies in the next game.

Grizzlies has chemistry and they went to the playoffs last season, so this is another test for the Lakers if they can beat the Grizz. Memphis has a 2-0 start this season while the Lakers have the opposite, so it's a big thing if the Lakers could beat the Grizz here to have their first win, maybe if they'll start winning that winning streak might be possible.

Lakers needs to start winning now, those losses from both preseason and regular are good enough to test their chemistry.

Fans who are betting with them are very frustrated with how they play the game, Coach Vogel needs to find good combination,
he needs to balance who are inside the court and make a good adjustment between LeBron, Davis and Russ.

These 3 stars needs to work now and build good bonds, if they continue to be like this the chance of winning the title is very low,

Of course, they need to start winning but is that enough to say that they will win this game? I think as long as they don't play with good chemistry, they are not gonna win because a super team that is only good on paper will never gonna be a threat in real life basketball.

We saw them struggle in the preseason and regular season and that fight between Davis and Howards tell they are not fully blended yet and the more they lose, the more their chemistry will have a problem if they keep blaming each other instead of correcting their mistakes.

Caruso is probably just laughing on them now as the Bulls were doing great while the Lakers are still figuring out how to win.  Smiley

Spurs not looking great once again. After starting with a blowout, we lost to Denver and Bucks now. Let's be honest Bucks are the last champions and Denver has the last MVP so it was obvious from the start that we wouldn't be too great. However, it was always obvious to me that we would be basically doing something that is much worse than this, I am still hopeful about our future by looking at our players. Maybe we are not as good as some other teams, but our young players are finally hitting their shots and that's the most important part.

Plus when you have that much energy in the team, it is rarely a bad thing, everyone is playing with high energy even on the last seconds and that tires teams that plays against us. Teams that have back to backs with us will have a hard time. I am hopeful honestly, an 8th seed would be so awesome, I really miss us being in playoffs.

For the first time in many years I am actually extremely excited to watch Chicago Bulls basketball.  I know that the Bulls aren't winning any championships but it's been so fun seeing a team with some actual playoff bound chances.  DeRozan has been such a big pickup so far.  We finally have someone who can easily drop 20 any night to go along w/Lavine doing the same.  Sure the bulls have only played 2 teams and are just 3-0, but it's just nice to see it starting off like this.
Aren't they bullish (pun intended)? I think they have the chance and that Lonzo Ball triple-double performance on a home opener was just something imo too. I think they need to screenshot that they are at the top on the Eastern Conference standings right now and who knows if they'll continue to play like this, it's just really exciting to watch, it's their 7th straight win since the start of the preseason.

If it's the consistency of the stats I think Vucevic has that capabilities and take a look at his recent stats, it's just amazing and that was a snatch getting him tbh.

^ Bucks seem to be in great form so far. Though the season is long a good start can go a long way. Players will be motivated enough for the following games. Giannis was phenomenal this game. I wish he could complete his triple-double but still, he was so close. The guy did everything. He scored, he made his teammates score, he made space for them also he was very good in the defense. Also, those are some very well taken 3 pointer attempts from McDermott but it was not enough for them to win.

Giannis already matured he is not forcing anymore but rather, he makes sure that his teammates are all involved,

A good sign for the former MVP to reclaim the season title, still too far and a long season to watch, but with him playing like this
the chance of Bucks to defend the title is really high.

There are many teams to compete with but the current champ is not just going to give it up that easily, they are working more
harder now to make sure that they are still capable, repeating it again.

Milwaukee Bucks got their second win in their third game against San Antonio Spurs by 121-111. Middleton and Giannis carried the team to the victory. And Giannis was nearly making a triple-double (21 pts, 8 reb, 8 ast). At Spurs, McDermott's performance was really impressive to me. He scored 25 pts but the most impressive thing was his high accuracy in his three-pointer attempts (7/11).

He is a great shooter and he is a good addition to the San Antonio Spurs.

By looking at his stats, you can tell the improvement compared to his previous teams, he has a good start and I think this will be the best season of his career as an NBA player. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcderdo01.html

I hope Brook Lopez will be back soon from injury, Bucks needs him a lot.
