I have to say the fight doesn't mean anything all by itself, but the team doesn't look like they are playing well together, the chemistry is not there on the court. It is not about liking each other or not, I mean sure liking each other would mean a lot but there are tons of teams who have teammates who like each other and are great teammates yet still fail. Look at Portland, I am sure players there like each other, mainly cj and dame, but they are not winning anything for sure.

It means liking doesn't mean chemistry for sure, it helps but is not limited. I believe Vogel has a big job here, he needs to find a way to make this team play a lot more like 2014 Spurs, yes that is a big goal but without that fluid offense that sees players pass around a lot, this team will not be doing great. It will probably get there, they just need some more games.

I can totally see a not great season for Lakers as it doesn't seem that this team have the chemistry between the players so don't expect much from them. Yea , they will reach play offs and stuff but they will not have a long run in it.

Tonight it is time for Pacers to take their first win as they deserved to win both of them their first 2 games as last night they manage to comeback after and still manage to lose in ET...

This is so alarming for the LA Lakers, they lose again and it's not even a competitive game.
They had a run in the 4th quarter but it was never enough to get close and had a chance to win the game.
More adjustment is necessary, they can't just keep losing and make an excuse telling people that they are still adjusting.
Congrats to the Phoenix, they have proven that they are still intact and remain a good team.
I think it is about the overall defense of Lakers and their team chemistry that resulted to their 0-7 record. They are still adjusting given that most of their players are all stars. Like what I previously mentioned, individually, Lakers' players are skilled. But as a team, they are still looking for that right ball movement and plays.
This is the result if majority of their players are ball dominant and I guess they will struggle unto this situation knowing its so hard to adjust while the season already rolling, Maybe they should experiment and combine other role player to insert on their line up since maybe from their they will get a perfect blend since they prove already that if they put all their stars together the result is horrible. But still let see how their coaching staff handle this situation.

This totally shows that how important team chemistry is in basketball. You know, Lakers have the best players in their squad with the likes of Lebron, WB, Dwight, Davis, and so on. It's been a while that they are still not clicking. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is but the Lakers should figure it out soon otherwise it's gonna be a problem for them.

AD had a pretty off night shooting and looked downright terrible up until the end of the game.  I'm sure that had something to do with it.
Stressed that the game looked bad with the Suns going over 20+ points of a lead. They could not do anything about it, all of them are like in a bad mood and nothing will happen when they act that way. One more piece is missing, the peacemaker. Is Lebron tired of the same tune and won't use his leadership aura anymore?  Grin

16-1 run, and LA also contributed big in this game scoring 23 points, this is highest point since he come back. They didn't give up though, it was a dog fight, and even if Sixers takes a lead of 10+, Nets keeps coming back with Harden and KD.
Bad call for Doc on that last play when Green took the hit for an offensive foul, it was called a block and he still has that challenge just waving at him.
In the end, he could not even use it anymore.  Cheesy It could've changed everything if he took it.
Here is his response regarding that.
Quote
“We have a guy behind our bench that looks at them, and he had his thumbs down on all of them, so,” Rivers explained when questioned about his decision.

On the other hand, Nets, while they are also stacked with incredible skilled players, they managed to get their team chemistry and ball rotation consistent. I think it is something to do on how James Harden handles the floor. Their game against Sixers showed on how dominant KD was.

The quality of a good team is when they know how to come back even if they struggle in the first 3 quarters, that's what the Nets showed in their game against the Nets when they outscored the 76ers by 11 points in the last quarter in order to take the win.

On the other hand, the Lakers did have their own big run in the 4th but it was short and they still lose, plus Davis and Howard seem not on good terms after this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9-m-VRvx6s

Feels like Lakers is still in practice mode as last night they had no desire to play basketball and I think LeBron will soon enter in them and have a chat with all of them as it seems that all of them are playing by ego. Also it was kinda ugly from Suns side to mock them with "rock a baby" gestures and so on and maybe this will come back and bite them lately in NBA.

That's the current Lakers, we have to accept the reality that they really struggle but it should not last for long or in the entire season as they have the best talents in the NBA, if they continue to suffer, then it's not the players here who are the problem, it could be the coach and they need to find a replacement.

I would say it's alarming indeed, not with the chemistry, but with the AD and Dwight scuffle.

They already veterans and have been in this league, what makes AD pushed Dwight here?

Yes, it's frustrating to see another lost for the Lakers but it's against a tough team in the West. Not really sure if Vogel is on top of the situation right now.

They did show some promise at the end after the Suns were making them look foolish.  They cut the lead from 30 down to 12 and then pulled the stars.  A good way to end I guess, but it took them being disrespected on their home court in order to make it happen.  I need to find out more about what happened between Dwight and AD.  I'm really hoping tonight was a bit of a rock bottom moment for them and they rally from here and start kicking ass.  I don't think I'm ready to accept that so many of the greats I watched for so long can no longer compete.
Please do. I found the replay in a streaming services but I can't hear what they are saying.
According here it was just about the defensive coverage of both players and Howard said it's okay, they are brothers. I am not sure if it's just to cover the truth.

I think the losing game is what intensifies their emotions. So much was expected on them and they are shouldering it all and I do think that is also the reason they are all stiffed. It's only Rondo that looks calm of them all with his 3's getting in (14 mins 2/3), but AD, Lebron, and even WB are missing easy shots especially the lay-ups.
Just as I thought chemistry will be their biggest issue. 9 new players, it's like 1st day of elementary school.  Grin
Maybe some Lakers fan will say "They might be new players but they are veterans and they will find a way to find the chemistry that they need in order to win."
No disrespect with the Lakers but I think this is also a problem when you got players who are veterans and at the same time, all-star players when they are at their prime.

If this will continue, I don't think that the Lakers will be the favorites to win the championship. Before starting the season yes, they are the ones and many are saying (including me) that the Lakers and Nets are the ones who will face in the Finals just basing on their roster. They need to adjust, WB needs to step up. The Lakers need him.

Am I the only one thinking that Coach Vogel can't handle the team? Hmmmm I hope he can. The AD and Howard scuffle?? Both of them will be ok. Just wait for a few days to weeks Cheesy

After watching the postgame interview it looked like Howard was cool about the situation but AD seemed obviously still annoyed.  I don't remember what happened on the play, but it looked like AD went up to say something to Howard who was sitting down and when Howard got up to confront AD there were problems...  AD had a pretty off night shooting and looked downright terrible up until the end of the game.  I'm sure that had something to do with it.

After seeing the night's highlights though, Durant seems to be the story of the evening.  He was on one tonight...

Can't really say anything with the Lakers though, Suns played a terrific games. And that AD and Dwight scuffles proves that something is wrong with the Lakers right now.

This Lakers vs Suns game is getting hard to watch. The Suns have started flat out disrespecting the Lakers vets and making them look like old men out there. Even the fans are getting in on the act now with a court side fan being removed for messing with Rondo. LeBron checked out of the game and doesn’t seem like he wants to be out there. The new look Lakers aren’t looking so hot thus far…

I pretty much thought watching the Celtics play was the worse thing that could happen tonight, but men this is worse... Westbrook, LeBron and Anthony Davis getting schooled like the odds weren't before the game.

I guess it's going to take a while before these three (AD, Westbrook, and LeBron) would learn to play together, and the body language of LeBron in the 2nd half so far has been a big NO for me,from complaining about almost everything to not joining his teammates up court during transitions.

I didn't watch the Lakers vs Suns, but the Celtics vs Toronto is worst as well.

Celtics can't buy a basket, Tatum missing a lot of shots and what shut out the whole game.

Gary Trent and Scottie Barnes are playing with the Celtics defense. And worst they are the favourite to win against the Raptors in their home court. What a disappointing lost and for the fans as well.
A real disappointment unlike with Lakers who try to bounce back in the last quarter,

But they've lack out of time, those 3's from Melo and LeBron gives them a chance to cut the lead to a single digit, not sure why Rondo needs to sit for the rest of the game, Coach Vogel should take Russ instead of Rondo.

Lakers cores still not jiving well, need more practices and system that will give them good chemistry inside the court.

I would agree that they were better in the end of the 4th Quarter but it really was just too late already, and moreover I'd also want to believe that the push they tried to make was probably because Suns were already so comfortable, that's if how they played in the first 3 quarters are to be considered. It seem as though they (Suns) were being respectful and all they needed was to make a few buckets after a few possessions thereby taking some time off the clock.
