This season, I really want to see a final series between Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. Lakers are stronger now as Russell Westbrook has joined the team. If they don't struggle with injuries they can go on until the end with LeBron, Davis and Westbrook. When it comes to Nets, they are already the biggest candidate for becoming the champions as it was in the last season. They just had an unfortunate season that they struggled with injuries. And the missing players were Irving and Harden most of the time. If they don't have a similar season, it shouldn't be so hard for them to reach the final unless they face Lakers before that in the playoffs.

I think given the minutes he can also contribute some for the Bucks just like Portis showcased his skills.

There are some veterans that are still free agents now.
Paul Millsap - I think if he can't still make a deal out of any team, Nuggets can take him back. He is not that weak yet and still got the oomph.  Grin
Avery Bradley. Now if any team need to add more defense with agility for small line ups this guy is a good choice.
J.J. Redick - speaking of lucky charm, he is one. It will be a 95% playoffs appearance for the team.
Do not forget Lauri Markanen neither, dude may not be a starter or even a good player, but he is definitely good enough to get some 10-15 minutes per game for sure, even 20 in a team like Lakers where they have AD playing both PF and C, so whenever he is C then Lauri can be PF, and whenever he is out Lauri could be PF to whoever is C like dwight or Gasol and what not.

It means that dude could get as much as 20 minutes there, and he is a decent shooter as well, not an awesome one but not bad for a big, and he will be playing with people like Lebron and Westbrook who are amazing at drive in and pass out style and he could get some scoring chances that way as well. Or Lakers could just sign Millsap if they can convince him, I hear that he is looking for more than minimum and that's why it took this long but nobody (understandably) wants to give him more than minimum, plus many can't even afford it.

Riddick can give some minutes for Middleton and Holiday,
Bro, Riddick is Vin Diesel.  Grin JK.
I like jj Reddick for the Bucks that would be a great add.  He doesn't need the ball all the time and is a great floor spacer for giannis.  Great 3 point shooter and at the end of the game great to have the ball in his hands cause he is automatic from the line.  Early in his career he was a liability on defense but has gotten better deeper in his career.
There is no rumor yet about him being signed anywhere and I think they will be offering something with these veterans late and that is if they can still fix a space with their cap.
More recent news was published.
Nicolas Batum signed by the Clippers again. That will lock their last season roster and all will be kept. The team taking the Clippers to WCF was a good sign for them.

Meanwhile, Schroder is being optimistic about signing with the Celtics.
Quote
"I'm proud to announce that for the 2021-22 season I'll be playing for the Boston Celtics!" Schroder said through an Instagram post. "This is one of the best franchises in NBA history and it will be an honour to put on the green and white and do what I love! I'm going out there every night and leaving it all on the floor for the city!! Who's ready?"

Reddick can give some minutes for Middleton and Holiday,

he also have that shooting hands that automatically converts points when given the free ball.

If Bucks sign him up, that will bring them more treat outside,

Giannis can easily throw the ball to him and go down to wait for their defense. Let see if fate will permits him to play with the defending champ.

I guess Thanasis is the lucky charm of Bucks, and as long as his brother is on the team, he will remain there. He didn't contribute that match, but we can see he has given all his energy on the sideline.

Anyone notice though that the Lakers has sign Mac McClung?, and he is the mold of Alex Caruso, athletic, non drafter player but has the potential to become a good role and bench player.

I think Bucks would love to have him on the team, they need a good 3 point shooter and J.J. Redick can surely produce. I don't understand why the 76ers did not keep him, he had some good seasons with the 76ers and they definitely need a good shooter like him. There are times that the Bucks struggles offensively, so J.J. Redick's consistency could help and with his experience, there's no doubt that he can contribute a lot to the team.

Milwaukee Bucks F Thanasis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a new two-year deal, sources tell ESPN. He played 57 games in Bucks’ championship season, plus 13 more in the playoffs.

Good news for Giannis, he's brother helped him a lot verbally during his injury time. Moral support and some bench help.

Though he mostly played during garbage time only, he is great support for his brother.  I'm curious as to how much he was signed because it's not stated in the tweet. Anyway, hopefully, the Bucks will remain healthy so being a defending champion, they will remain a hard team to beat.

Lance will hold a workout in these hours in Las Vegas where several NBA teams will be present. The goal is to convince them to give him a chance. Representatives from the Bucks, Nuggets, Sixers and Nets are expected to attend.
I guess he would be happy even if any of these four teams offer him a one-year contract with a minimum salary. By the way, it's worth noting that the Nuggets were already interested in Stephenson when Murray was injured last spring. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see him in Nuggets uniform next season.

He has the talent to play in the NBA without a doubt. He just has some mental issues that can really cost his team at times. Basketball really is a sport you need to be aware of what’s going on at all times and similar to JR Smith (who is going back to college to play golf) Lance has at times shown to not fully have that awareness.
Haha  Grin He's playing in China if I am not mistaken. They need clowns there but NBA has no place for the likes of him.
I mean yeah, he is good but there is a bit of a problem with how he defines "play". I think he is confused with kids' playtime and adults' playtime.
He will just be a stress for the coaches and they don't like mistakes that leads to losing the game. A lot of money is at stake being paid for players to entertain and win not fool around.

Bring Lance Stephenson back to NBA! Cool
That would be fun hehe. I would like to see him in a Bucks or Nets uniform.

I like him to wear a Nets uniform, he is good at guarding Lebron James, though they were teammates before I think he can still do the job and be a good defender, the Nets probably need some players who have some swag to spice up the team. Also, this might be his chance to win a championship before he retires or leaves NBA.

Yes of course, Nets are a good team if a veteran would like to take chances of winning a championship. Lance Stephenson is a decent player, he can contribute in both ends of the floor particularly on the defensive side where the Nets really needed to improve. His stats (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/stephla01.html) may not be too impressive but his impact on the floor is.

Kanter is very good in the paint although many aren't appreciating how good he is inside.

Many aren't asking about the Celtics but I think that their current lineup is good although they don't have any bigs and if I mean bigs, I mean 7 footers aside from Tacko Fall which they aren't using that much too. What I don't like with their roster is the number of Guards. I don't know but for me, they have too much guards right now but lets see. The addition of Schroder to the team might change their performance this upcoming season Smiley.
I honestly think that Kanter is not as good as people make him out to be, surely scoring 11 and rebounding 11 per game are good stats, but how much he causes the team on defence is not on that number. Dude is a huge blackhole on pick and roll defence, and many teams abuse that against him, so while he does get his own stats, he also allows other teams to get their stats as well.

If dude was half as good on defence as he was on offense he would have an amazing career, watched him closely when he first came into the league and Utah just had too many bigs so he didn't play much, but then he never really found his style and just lacked on defence so he just had a "decent" career, like a Robin Lopez type of situation, we all know him, we just do not think that he could be good enough for anything. Celtics however needed another proper big on bench, so I would say that is not a bad call neither.

... He still has that IQ but seems not jiving with PG and Leonard. Next season might be a good test if they'll going to use him or he will be part of another trade.
I'm thinking it will be the latter. I think he still has an "all-star" ego left in him that's why he cannot blend too well with Kahwi or PG. Maybe it's also the coach fault for not making the player's roles in the team very clear.

He is already a veteran, he could also be the player that can inspired others as he might give tips and tricks, just like what we have seen him in Lakers. But with the Clippers, his minutes definitely goes down maybe the coach prefer young guys over him or whatever.

But I think he can still contribute greatly to the Clippers and should be given ample minutes again to play with a healthy Kawhi and Paul George.

I hoped that after the trade to Clippers he will perform well, much better to him if he didn't leave the Hawks,

With them he plays that minute that really contributes, unlike with clippers after that miscommunication with Kawhai I noticed he played

Celtics now adding some power in the painted area.
Celtics Sign Enes Kanter
Quote
Kanter, 29, returns to Boston after averaging 11.2 points (60.4% FG, 77.4% FT), 11.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 24.4 minutes with Portland in 2020-21. He was the only player in the NBA to average at least 11.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while playing in all 72 games last season
Now they have Horford, Williams, and Kanter protecting the rim. If they want to go small ball, they have Smart who can be positioned to small forward which he is pretty good at. I think this completes the Celtics roster and they just need Brown to be healthy again for their offensive force. A lot of chance for Schroder to prove himself if they keep on adding big guys only.

All eyes have been on the Lakers super veteran team lately so I'm glad the Clippers finally making some news hehe.  I went on to check their roster and found out they still have a lot of veterans that were former all-stars. I'm not that excited to see this team play for next season.

Anyone else who would like to see Rajon Rondo perform like his "bestfriend" Chris Paul?

Rondo would certainly do if given enough minutes, or maybe he is still adjusting as it was his first season with the Clippers and the team relied heavily on the starters. I also thought that Rajon Rondo would be as good as he was with the Lakers, but it did not pass my expectation yet, but I trust this man, I know he still has a lot to share with his team, so I'll be patient with that.

Bring Lance Stephenson back to NBA! Cool
After being close to returning to the league last year with the Indiana Pacers ahead of the Orlando bubble, now the player may have a better chance to show he still has the right qualities to play at the highest level. Lance will hold a workout in these hours in Las Vegas where several NBA teams will be present. The goal is to convince them to give him a chance. Representatives from the Bucks, Nuggets, Sixers and Nets are expected to attend.
Stephenson hasn't played in NBA since the 2018-19 and his last professional experience was in China with Liaoning Flying Leopards in 2019-20.
Yeah, last time we heard about him is going into China and playing professional there. It's not that bad league though, many ex-NBA gets a gold old loving fans in China and becoming MVP there.

But of course, every ex-NBA players wanted to come back and play in the US. Hopefully, the teams are convince that Lance has still has it and could be a good insertion on any teams that is eyeing his experience to be added on their roster.
