Nets look like they are cursed, they couldn't get all the big trio on the court too much this year, it has been basically one or the other out constantly and that is why people do not see them as potential champions yet.

I personally do not see them as champions, that is really not at all what we should be expecting from this, there is really nothing that should be considered as the Lakers type of level hype for Nets, why? Because they haven't proven anything, anyone who has watched NBA would know that first seeds do not always end up being the champions, there is a good chance over any other seed, but if we do all other seeds versus first seed you will see that it is not that high chance, which is why Nets may have a good regular season even without star players playing together, but they won't be having this type of ease when they are in playoffs.

Yes, that was exactly what happened. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Murray is a combo guard, right? (he can play as PG and SG)
Yes, that's correct.
But lately, he had been mostly a shooting guard although he can still handle the ball and make the play which had been Barton's job recently.

Now Durant.
Damn, this is really a rough year for NBA.
Stars are falling down and not twinkling anymore.  Grin
Perhaps the management should think of a better way to stretch the rest period of these players.
They made the game softer and now they are exhausting their players to make more money. I know they are trying to meet a deadline but if for the expense of losing more players then is it worth it?

I don't see the worth aside from  the fast roi for those franchise, but for the benefits of those stars this recent injuries not only by KD but players like LeBron, AD and Klay not benefiting the fans at all.

Adjustments should take place if the NBA management  still caring for the future of this league and the future of all the players.

Else, we will see more and more Players who will suffer from this..
Indeed a rough year for almost all NBA stars, but I think the injury Murray acquire is because of last seasons injury remember when they play against LeBron, Jamal is already injured and then he plays through, this recent injury might be since he is not totally healed, and team doctors might miss something, at the same time the level of play Jamal is doing might irritated those injuries last year, for LeBron to get injured is because he is getting old, and those years where he almost not injured are now being felt by the body.

A couple of good games airing on ESPN tonight starting with the Warriors vs 76ers and then the Lakers vs Jazz. Would be a better night if AD, LeBron, & Klay were healthy, but this has been a tough couple years for NBA superstars. I like watching NBA games as much as the next guy and too many changes have real effects on career stats, but something needs to be done to try and keep basketball players healthy. We need some advances in player supportive wear or pads or something if they are going to play 82 games a year (or have no off season like this year).

I do hope that this situation of Durant now will not be like Derrick Rose situation when he sufferred a major injury, after those injury, he never returned to his old self again, or probably it will take time to return, though Durant has achieve more than Derrick Rose had already achieve but Durant could be a hall of famer if you will be healthy as he could add more stats to play many seasons.

Kevin Durant has suffered in his knees when he banged knees with Trevor Ariza after that he didn't get to the game. Durant's knees are not yet back to normal now I understand why those superstars when they suffered a major injury and when they back to the court they are not the same man as there was when they had no injury. I hope he recovers soon, I really want to see this guy compete in the playoff again.
This isn't good for Nets to be honest, just recently LaMarcus Aldridge just retired for heart health issue and we got this from Durant. I hope he stays healthy for the rest of the season so we can see some highlights from him as well as if they could get that ring, I want to see him plays too.
We are surprise with what happen, Nets now have problem with their big 3 as they have experience some injury, but gladly nothing too serious that would make them out for the remainder of the season. It's just that Durant might feel frustrated because he waited for one season before he can play with his team now, and this injury again happen.

There's still a good news on that injury.

The good news is that the initial diagnosis of a bruise suggests KD avoided any major damage, and for now we'll assume he's day-to-day. Jeff Green and Alize Johnson should benefit if KD is forced to miss time, with more PF minutes also available for Blake Griffin

I hope he can come back in the playoffs healthy and strong, injury has been the problem of the Nets but Durant is consistent this year.
For sure Durant will come back in the playoffs, actually he really needs to be back in uniform to help the Nets. Against Miami, they really missed him, Irving is not enough to keep them winning against a tough team like Miami.

Jeff Green though was able to help, but he only scored 8 points. Griffin has extended minutes as well, but I think he is still not in the groove.

I think they hava a chance to beat Miami even without Durant, but as long as Harden and Irving are back playing both healthy in the playoffs. The success of the Nets this season was when Harden was healthy, so they'll surely still have that kind of winning formula, ready to get activated once Harden is okay.

Good news that it's not a major injury for him. So this is going to give us fans an expectation that he's going to be back anytime soon.

They should put him at rest until major games comes to them and he's really needed to play for the team.

Maybe fans are just a bit frustrated because tehy were thinking that Durant will not be injured again, but things happen, once a player came from a major injury, usually they become so fragile and this is what happen with Durant, hopefully he can win this problem both physically and mentality.

There's no update yet on how long he'll rest, but I believe it might take a while.

After returning, he's now going back to take some rest. What a shift of events.  Undecided  And they've lost against Miami Heat with just a 2 point score lead.
I think if he's not out too early in the first quarter, they've easily won this match. Well, hoping for a speedy recovery of him.
I wish it will just be a minor thigh contusion.
There's no update yet about his medical tests. Let's hope it will just be a few weeks of rest to get back to the game.
But if it goes major, that will need 4-6 weeks. That is too long and he will need to be tested again if he could play afterwards.

I think we won't see this great player hoop the whole season anymore even in the next year or a couple.
He's just 32 and there is still a lot of years before his retirement.
He's always feeling like that even before and too bad that after his team got strong teammates, he's in injury and they didn't play altogether. It's sad that we didn't see them play, all of them with Aldridge.
They were praised and got goosebumps with their line up but it just so happen that they didn't play along because of sudden health issues and injury.

Yes, they need to do this!
Yeah, thanks for reminding me, Gordon was a reinforcement for Nuggets, but they need to adjust to play without Murray.
He's one of the best players in Denver, I don't know if Nuggets will be able to get "very far" in playoffs after Murray's injury
Jamal had been more of a shooting guard lately and Campazzo and Barton had been the playmaker. Or Jokic.
What they lose is the speed in the offensive end without Murray running everywhere. Almost identical to the GSW play with Curry running without the ball.
That's what they need now because that kind of play opens a lot of opportunities for cuts and Jokic comes into play after that.
Now, their strength is in the defensive end. With large and agile players like Gordon and Porter Jr. they could make stops.
Jokic will just need to find a way to look for the open man.

Yes, that was exactly what happened. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Murray is a combo guard, right? (he can play as PG and SG)
He was able to put a lot of speed on team when it was necessary, without him, the Nuggets will lost that reference a little bit.

Another negative point is, the most teams already know, Jokic will be the player to decide the game, and the responsibility will fall on him.

I was not able to watch this game (Lakers vs Jazz), but did really Lebron get a T after Clarkson slap him a little?

Lebron James Got's Technical For Delaying the Game After Jordan Clarkson Slapped Him

BTW, I guess this was JC's first start as a Utah Jazz and he really did everything to win but come ups short.

Yeah, Clarkson was really instrumental in leading the Utah Jazz and force an overtime.

However, the team really come up short, KCP and Dennis Schröder, scary tandem. But I don't like the rumour that Knicks want Dennis Schröder, but are reportedly unlikely to get into ‘bidding war’ for him.

And with this win, Lakers firmly on the 5th spot, like 3 games ahead of Portland.
This match really upset many of my friend that bet on Jazz that time. Drummond miraculously show a very strong game which is sufficient to shutdown a strong team like Jazz. Actually I was surprised too that Lakers perform that well without there Aces. Ggwp to the betlords who bet on the underdog Lakers that time.  Cheesy
Jazz is really playing like a proper team, they are really good, with everyone on the floor they are going to be a huge threat in the NBA for sure. However I feel like it is not the league for teams anymore, it is the league for superstars. I mean look at teams, with Nets having so many, Lakers having 2, Clippers having 2, Bucks having an amazing one, Nuggets have Jokic (and had Murray), it is really looking weird. Look at Suns, they "look" great right? Anyone even doubts that they won't win it this year?

I mean it is obvious that they are not going to win it this year, and yet they won so many games. Which is why regular season matters but not as much as people imagine it is, obviously most of the time best team becomes the first team, but that is not required, I remember plenty of times Lebrons teams finished under first seed and still went to finals all the time.

Jazz are underrated, but the moment they won an NBA Finals, that would make this team so special. If you remember the journey of the Warriors before, during the time of Curry, Thompson, Green and other role players, you would not think they are a superteam until they won a championship, so for the Jazz, I'll give them a chance to prove because they are playing with a great team work like the Warriors did during their glory days.

They are so balance thats why they have great chances to win the championship this season but lets hope that they will have a healthy rooster up to the playoffs since if their stars and role player cannot have a major injury well chances are even more greater. For now we cannot compare them on early GSW since they didn't have any championship won together yet.
The only thing that I'm concern about is that how they are going to face a team like the clippers, or the lakers in the playoffs, those teams are more experience in the playoffs both have Leonard George, James Davis, these teams are the team to beat, if they can adjust with this team in a seven-game series then they have a chance to be in the finals of either clippers or Brooklyn i think.
