Any new news regarding the return of LeBron James?
I read in some sites that he is expected to return to play in approximately 3 weeks!

I hope this is true, LeBron was absent, the Lakers missed him, because LJ makes a huge difference in the team

I haven’t heard anything about a return but I feel like his injury forced Lakers management to make the Drummond deal happen. If that’s the case, maybe there’s a silver lining to The King being sidelined. I hate to see it when he’s chasing so many records though. He needs every minute he can get while he’s still able to play at a high level.
So, I think there should be some rumor about LJ's return.

Yes, I agree with what you said. Lakers can be more competitive they did everything to bring Drummond to the LA.

I confess that despite the age of LeBron James (36 years old), he still has the ability to play several seasons. I think he can retire between 40 or 42 years old.
I still think he is one of the best players in NBA history to play with consistency and great genetics, because at 36 he still has a chance to win the MVP of the season.

There's no weakness for Lebron James, as he gets older he become wiser, so let's expect that he will continue to play and break record after record. LBJ is in a championship team, despite Nets is a super team now, the big 3 of the Lakers are still capable to beat the Nets.

Kyrie Irving gets weirder by the day. That clip of him getting ejected was strange. He seemed to be way up in his feelings. I think Kyrie needs a PR person to keep him from speaking. The walking stick to games was funny and I think he is probably right in this latest dramatic outburst of racism, but I’m not sure how effective his methods are at getting his point across. Especially after the flat earth stuff. Hard to take him seriously.

It will be highly unlikely to happen especially the current owner Glen Taylor is looking for owners that would promise that they will be keeping the team in Minnesota.

Promises are nice, if i'm not mistaken the current OKC owner once promised not to move away from Seattle but he did eventually.

Quote
If the deal proceeds, Lore and Rodriguez will join as limited partners for 2.5 years before eventually taking control of the franchise.

If the deal is signed and said transition period expires with Lore and Rodriguez becoming majority owners, be sure the NBA board of governors will approve a move to another city without any hesitation. Though i would very much like to see the NBA adding expansion teams rather than relocating existing ones.

Maybe the ejection of Kyrie Irving had a huge impact to the team itself as they lose their one of the scoring leaders. I know that the Lakers didn't have AD and LBJ at that game but they still have really good players. THT, Drummond and McLemore really did stepped up and made this huge upset.
The Lakers have lost their scoring leader in that game too as Schröder got ejected along with Kyrie. He's got 19 points
In 20 mins. before he gets ejected. But that doesn't stop the Lakers from defeating the Nets. The key to win that game is "Defense". THT, Drummond, and McLemore stepping up their game is a plus to make a huge margin.
The Nets has an awful defense.

This might be a statement against the Nets that they can also win against them and can make a back to back championship Smiley. Nets are the favorites right now of winning the championship but if one of them are either injured, ejected or at least will not play then it might cause a huge effect to the team itself. :|
This is what I was talking a week ago. The Nets are actually beatable because, Durant is so fragile and Kyrie and Harden can't carry a team to win a championship (not unless they'll prove it this year).

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but i think it's important, Seattle might get their basketball team back in the very near future:

"Sources: Alex Rodriguez, Marc Lore finalizing deal to buy Minnesota Timberwolves, WNBA's Lynx"
source: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31232469/sources-alex-rodriguez-marc-lore-finalizing-deal-buy-minnesota-timberwolves

Last summer, Kevin Garnett and a group of investors also tried to buy the Timberwolves, but Glen Taylor their owner, didn't agree. Buying the T'Wolves does not necessarily mean they have to relocate but it's a possibility. Another city being thrown out there is Vegas, and i would not rule it out since the Raiders moved to Vegas recently, why not an NBA franchise, right? If nothing else, i believe a change of ownership will be beneficial to the Wolves, who have been abysmal for the past 15 years or so.

It will be highly unlikely to happen especially the current owner Glen Taylor is looking for owners that would promise that they will be keeping the team in Minnesota. Also I don't think this is a final deal as this had been said before with Garnett , the Wilf brothers, and as well as Daniel Straus. If the team is sold to Alex Rodriguez I'm guessing that there is in the ownership contract that won't allow the team to move to another state/city.  Also I don't think Alex Rodriguez will be a good fit to own a team especially his net worth being around $350 Million his partner on ther other hand, Marc Lore, has approximately $1 Billion net worth and might be a majority owner in this situation.

Even though I believe that Nets are not a proper "team" yet even though they have amazing players, I also think that this one game is not indication of how they will be like. Lakers is still the previous champions and even without AD and Lebron they are still a great team, but normally Nets should have won this game easily, but just because they lost it and lost it with 25 points, doesn't mean that they are a horrible team neither. They are a great team who had a bad game, that is the only thing we could take away from this game.

At the end of the day we are talking about Nets here, with irving, harden, durant and that three alone is great and enough, with the help of their other players they will be good. I just do not believe that they are "team" enough to win this year, but maybe next year when everyone is perfectly healthy and pandemic is not as much of a problem, they could become a serious threat.

The Lakers without AD and James won the Nets by 25 points. It looks like Drummond turned out to be very useful for the Lakers, considering that he has made two double-doubles in a row after injury. Did someone bet on the Lakers? What were the odds?

I thought of betting on Nets but I changed my mind. I'm very happy to do that now.  Grin

Lebron and Davis both were absent in this game but still Lakers did a great job by defeating Nets. Durant and Irving were in the game but they couldn't prevent the loss. But they didn't play for a very long time in this.
Drummon's very effective. Who would have thought that the Lakers will win this game without those players? the majority have thought that this was going to be a Nets game but it didn't.
There's a huge score lead for this game and this makes it more impressive.

Just curious if you guys are familiar with NBA Top Shot, or if you have dabbled in it yet?  I personally think it's a bit silly and sort of a "scammy".  Not sure I would call it an all out scam, but the amount of money that has been pouring in to it, and the lack of website support has been pretty uneven ( reminds me a lot of Coinbase ).

For those not familiar, here is what it looks like.  Instead of owning physical sports cards, you own "moments" which are NTFs.

Here's what it looks like ..

We should not look this one loss as a big issue, they have a bad game, that's it, everyone should move on and expect that the Nets will bounce back in their next game. Nothing's change, Nets is still the number 1 in the East and the top favorites to win the championship.

They are not tanking in short, one game is just one game = one loss.
That's true.
Lakers had their good game while the Nets had their bad ones too.
Kyrie lost his composure at the first half and I think that also affects their performance.

Trollbox explodes, Lakers fan trolling and looking for the Nets bandwagon.  Grin Happy times.
Drummond just being Drummond again with his high stats of double figures in rebounds and points.
I suppose Lebron is happy for the managements decision.

He was for sure, and imagine if Lebron will come back with Davis, Lakers would be a tough team to beat. Their advantage is always their size, with LEBRON, AD, and Drummond playing together as starters, I could already see more points in the paint and their outside shooting will be effective as well as their opponent will definitely give more attention defending the inside.

I also see that coming the trios are all good in terms of inside paint, they can beat whoever defending them in a one on one post.

With LeBron and AD playing along side with Drummond for sure we will see more post up plays, and the good thing is, all the outside shooters can take it without hesitations, knowing that you've got someone inside who can take the rebound if ever you missed.

That win from the Nets brings the fire within the Lakers fans, it will take time and more talks regarding to this, a sweet win without your Big Bros'
something that the team will rejoice and enjoy.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been bored with this season. Hopefully the playoffs are better. I’ve turned almost all my attention to soccer

That was a nasty game for the Nets. 8 turnovers for Durant and Drummond owned them in barely over 20 minutes of playing time. I’m sure things will look different in the playoffs but Lakers fans have to be rejoicing in that victory. The Clip of Drummond calling Aldridge too small will be making the rounds on Sportscenter all day.

I'm more comfortable with Harden around.

Everyone is because Nets had really improve when Harden came, and now that he is injured, it's time for Durant and Irving to prove that they can also achieve the same success Harden succeed when he was healthy. Harden is not playing but it will not take long, he will be back soon and for the first time, we will see the big 5.  Grin

This game seems like a giveaway game for the Lakers but nevertheless, it was an unexpected turn of events where they beat the Nets big time without their star players. What I wanted to see is the Brooklyn Nets vs their eastern conference team's possible rivals, because we will have an idea what will be the outcome of the playoff games between the Nets and the other teams in the East.
