I guess heat would not do that, they are still doing everything to ensure a spot, its just that this season is more competitive compared to the past because we have great teams in the East now, to name a few, Nets and Knicks, both NY teams have already improved. Mind games are done only when they are guaranteed of a playoff spot already, they just look on what team they will face in the 1st round.

What mind games or strategy? They are inconsistent and that's that. They are not a super team who can beat anyone or turn on a winning streak whenever they wanted. Their ranking doesn't justify their performance. They could easily go down to eight in the next five games.

Drummond said that he got an injury in the first quarter. So, his injury doesn't look serious, considering that he was able to play until the 3rd quarter. It's worth noting that the Lakers already announced that x-rays of his toe were negative, and I guess he will miss two or three upcoming games.

Drummond is a really good player and the fact that his toe is the reason that he will be playing for less makes me think of the Achilles heel.

They have the most advance technology but no one could predict an injury since this is a contact sport, it's just unfortunate that he was injurd in his debut with the Lakers but I believe that his injury is not a season ending injury.

Why is it that he's "shocked"? did his management didn't talked to him first and got a counsel even though they're the one manages him? He has to embrace whatever the deal says and just focus on their upcoming games.

As per the article, he said he was assured that he will be close to his family, but this news came, of course its understandable that he is shocked as he might not be expecting he will be traded to another team that is far from his home. Well, since the deal is done, he just need to adjust here.

He has no choice but just to go along with the deal and trade. Maybe his contract does contains a claimer that the management can change it anytime despite the negotiations that has been done to his former contract.

This is bad news indeed, he just made his debut and a lot of expectations from him.

Unfortunately, he went down and they lost. Let's just hope for the best, we wanted to see a healthy Lakers against the best in the East, specially Nets which everyone see right now at the contender for the NBA championship which the Lakers are the defending champs.

Didn't watch the Knicks games, but base on the comments here, it really seems that they have given the game away. They are a strong team, that's why it's so surprising that they melted under the pressure.

Terrible loss for the knicks. They were up 12 in the 4th quarter and slowly gave the game away. Then the last sequence had multiple chances to win. They needed that game. :/

I'm also surprised them to loss against the Wolves, they are on a hot streak, suddenly they have lost 2 straight, and this match is winnable. They used to be a good close out team. Same with last time they have a good lead and they suddenly went cold specially in the last quarter.

I'm sorry man, I'm sure others have bet on the Knicks as well (lost one already from their last game) and feeling disappointed as how the game turns out in the closing minutes.
