History for now as they don't have Klay for now, but moving forward, they are still trying to play and compete that's already a good thing, for the former champ.

For now, they are trying but they really lack of talents to provide the win, while other teams are now forming a good selections
GSW are not in the same caliber to contend for the title again, maybe not now but once Klay start to work for them, the chance
still possible.
Sadly, they wont have Klay for this season. Klay is aiming return the start of next regular season 2021-22. Speaking of injuries, Brooklyn vs New York coming up soon. Durant is out injured so is Blake Griffin. Harden is questionable for the match as well with muscle injury. They really need to push harder so that they can be the top seed, which is likely but not a guarantee. They have the same wins and losses as 76ers at the moment.

Hey NBA fans! Have you watched the video about this famous Tiktoker who has been asking crazy rich people what they do for living?
Well, guess what? He ran across Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo and ask him what he do for living, and he answered "Bitcoin" (jokingly).
 https://youtu.be/ubbXedp6cwM
(video not mine)

Well, this is another exposure for Bitcoin in social media coming from a sports celebrity.

What do you guys think?

He was joking but they were already expose with what is bitcoin, and I believe there are already a lot of NBA players who are investing with bitcoin, they are just not vocal with it, except for Spencer Dinwiddie/ (https://news.bitcoin.com/nba-star-spencer-dinwiddie-just-tokenized-his-own-contract/)

If they have millions of followers then definitely that would make their followers curious and that would help the adoption of crypto.

In the absence of Curry in the starting five, GSW were totally demolished by Raptors last night. It was really an embarrassing result for GSW surely (130-77).

I really liked Siakam's performance that he got 36 PTS, 7 REB, 5 AST.
I guess we have to set our expectations low for Golden State Warriors already. With all of those straight championship that they've made, I think that's enough already for them.

There are other stronger and better teams this time.

If they only have a healthy Thompson, they could be more competitive, Curry sometimes have injurt problem so it has affected the entire performance of the team as he is the main man of the team. They actually have a good start, I'm seeing them in rank 5 to 8, but now they are already in rank number 10 with 3 wins only in the last 10 games.
Injury really sets a team into a bad shape when their star players are the ones having it.

We have to accept whether we're fans or not that, they're really not in good shape anymore and the championships that they got made history already.

No team would really be on a better shape once their main or star players had been injured.Yes, we can say that it isnt just a one-man type of game but losing them in the court would

really be giving out such impact which is unfortunate. When they are on the court then their teammates would really be having that kind of boost up since they do know
that they can really fight up well because theyre capable in to.

Im expecting for GSW to have some good numbers already but sadly when Curry had been injured then it is really going to the opposite way.

People keep talking about Nets but Bucks are doing fine and people are not talking about them enough. They just signed Jrue Holiday on a long term contract as well which should boost some morale in the team and they already got Kris and Giannis on long term contracts as well, so they have their own mini "big three" of sorts. Obviously it is Giannis that keeps the engine running but they have shown they are good even without him, definitely not championship material but at least a playoff level team with that.
They've got their own versions of trio but the fact that they are still young in terms of experienced gives the Nets a much bigger credit,

KD and Kyrie both have the rings, while Harden, Griffin ,Jordan have their playoffs experienced more than what the Bucks have, and aside from that, Sixers and Boston still there as well. It's not an easy trip to East finals to all of them as this side of the league also upgrades their lineups.

Quote
So, I think it is clear that they are going to be a tough matchup whoever they play. They have been said the same thing for the previous 2 years, and coach Bud turned them into a great team but I guess he needs to play his stars a bit more minutes when playoffs comes, 45+ minutes for a super star on a playoff game is nothing and he doesn't even do 40 minutes. I think if they learned a thing or two from previous years on playoffs, they could actually be pretty decent.

They've got what it's needed to compete, maybe you are right with stars to extend their game time and lift the team in winning to the
match, playoffs is really tough they need to play more solid and not to repeat the same thing over and over.

More struggle for the Lakers, it's expected because no Lebron and Davis, these 2 are briging success to the team hence the absence means the team is in trouble. They will go down in standing, that's again understandable but hopefully they'll rise back as the 2 will get back healthy again.
I guess they will play at least another seven matches(2 weeks) without Davis and James. So the Lakers will definitely need Drummond's help on the court in upcoming games, but he is still uncomfortable due to a toe injury.
There's no timetable yet on when Drummond will come back, they badly need him as his injury is just minor compared to the injury of Davis and Lebron James which requires weeks to heal. Based on the articles about him, he might be back soon.

Andre Drummond injury update: When is Andre Drummond coming back?

Despite the disappointment for Drummond's debut, the Lakers organization remains optimistic regarding his injury. As per reports, they believe Drummond will not miss more than two games. Obtained via free agency from the buyout market, Drummond was supposed to amp up the team's defence and keep them afloat without James and Davis.

Well, it's 2 games already, so let's see if we will see him in the next game and that is against the Raptors, it's a road game.
I think he will be sidelined for like two weeks, there is no need for him to rush back, he may need to familiarize himself with the rotation and rest the toe, much better if the three players can go back at the same time, to test their chemistry and figure out how to play along, because we know that every new player needs to know how others play inside the court.

Well, I guess Drummond will have a few games to adjust with the Lakers system, and the injury is delaying things up for Drummond to gel with the team.
After he got injured during his Laker debut, he obviously is lost offensively and still hesitant to create his own shot, but I know he'll be able to adjust. They'll be playing against a playoff teams in their next 3 games. So, I am expecting the Lakers will fall below the 6th to 7th spot.

@vennali.. is this format the same last season? particularly in the bubble?

I believe this format is good, more exciting to watch because there will be a mini playoff for the lower seed team.
The more they will paly hard to at least be part of the top 10 and some teams will also work hard to secure a spot int he top 6.
Although I didn't follow last years NBA playoffs properly partly because I was busy and partly because they were getting very political. I don't like entertainment being mixed with politics as it could be dangerous. I think last years playoffs was just 16 teams. Although for western conference there was a tie for 8th and 9th seed where they played mini playoffs games where 8th seed(Portland) were given a 1-0 series lead by default in a best of 3 games series. They had to do so because Portland were 35-39(W-L) and Grizzlies were 35-39, meaning they played one less game than Portland, hence, were given an alternate route to reach Playoffs by knocking off Portland.

Hard to watch Golden State Warriors almost going down into the oblivion. Klay wont be back for the season and the warriors looks very depressing to watch. Its just Steph trying very hard to keep the team afloat for the playoffs. I just noticed something different in this year's playoffs which was apparently posted a week ago. Top 10 teams of each conference have the chance to make it to the playoffs this time around. Top 6 automatically qualify for playoffs whereas teams from 7-10 have to play a mini tournament where 9th and 10th seed face each other in a knockout where as 7th and 8th also face each other and the winner advances as 7th seed where as the loser of 7th and 8th seed match gets another chance against the winner of 9th and 10th to make it to the playoffs.

It seems that is the rule this season, I'm not so familiar with it but as I look at the ranking, the top 6 was highlighted so I have a feeling that there's something different this season, thanks for giving more information, that clarifiies it more. I guess this format is fun, maybe they'll change the rules to this permanently?
They are giving more teams a chance to make it to the playoffs which is nice and it will be a longer playoff duration..so more hype to build up for the finals. I'll post the format here so that its easier for everybody to understand. This looks to be a permanent change but I'm not 100% sure on it.

People have doubts on the GSW this season but they have a great start so we hype it up a bit, but what we are seeing now is the real strenght of the warriors without KT.

Yeah, he fought really well but after some point he can't carry the team only by himself. Minnesota need to sign new players if they want to have good results and qualify for playoffs.
They do need help. Even with his bestfriend D'Angelo Russell healthy it won't be enough.
There will always be instances that one of them could get injured. Twolves needs back up roleplayers who will fill their spots if ever bad things comes.

Nuggets. I really thought they are going to lose that game.
That was x11 for Orlando Magic on the moneyline. Gordon and Porter Jr did their job smoothly to avoid breaking the streak. (5)
3rd quarter was their best making runs and when Jokic starts putting assists in his stats. I think that was 8 for just the 3rd quarter.  Roll Eyes

Nuggets is a quality team, they could have a bad start but they'll always come back,  so since magic is not a strong team, it will be easy for them to dominate the team even in the 2nd half only. They won the game but unfortunately they didn't cover the spread (for bettors side).

Gordon is the lucky charm of the team, since he was traded, the team has not experience a defeat yet.

If Gordon is lucky enough, the Nuggets might win a championship and he will have his first championship.

It's fun to watch that the Jazz have improve and the Nuggets are following.
These two teams are a great match up, I love their series in the bubble, I'm sure they'll meet again in the playoffs, so what team are you in favor?

They have good rooster but still wondering why they struggle, they have chances to win maybe their players cannot adopt the system since mostly their plays sorrounds with LBJ and Davis so maybe they should try different play or maybe they should experiment on how they can awake the potential of their players.
