I totally enjoyed watching the 76ers-Jazz game which was last night. The conference leaders clashed against each other and it finally ended after overtime with the victory of 76ers, 131-123. Joel Embiid was literally awesome that he got 40 PTS and 19 REB. It was very significant on their win.

This run by harden has been awesome.  I know he had a trip d last night but the most impressive thing to me is his efficiency.  29 points on 15 fg attempts.  He was known as a chucker in Houston but possibly what you were seeing is him doing what he needed to do on that team.  He looks way more comfortable on this team and looks like a league mvp playing out there.

Even though he is not a contender for the League MVP, he really is dishing out great performances even though it is his 2nd team for the season and they are currently doing a great run even though Durant is currently injured. Kyrie and Harden is playing selflessly because some of their plays before heavily rely on isolation but now we can see that they keep passing the ball around and every game they get this great stats with a win on their day.

Honestly Rockets look like they are at a level where they are as good as they used to be, and that is incredible. Sure having Harden seems like a bigger deal, because he is a superstar, and building around a superstar is definitely easier, however reality is that I would take this team over some of the rockets teams that existed recently, only maybe the team that took Warriors to 7 games and then lost with 27 missed threes in a row, that was incredible, but it was basically a reason why Rockets was there as well, they shot threes and get there, they shot threes and lost there.

I think this team is as good as any rockets team in the last 10 years except few years, and they have a shit ton of picks as well, albeit gave theirs away beforehand for Westbrook but they got so much more as well which is why I think it is definitely incredible.

What a stats, all these players are playing very well, unfortunately despite of the great stats by Wall and Oladipo, their team still lose and they are still in a losing streak. All of that does not matter anymore if they can't win a game, how long this struggle will continue?
If Wall and Oladipo continue to play with the same performance, then the Rockets may have a good chance to break a losing streak in the next match because they will play against the Kings. And as you may know, the Kings also have some problems, considering that they won only two of the last ten games.

Underrated but proficient duo, Oladipo and Wall stand a franchise record for the Rockets. They have good chemistry when it comes to play making and it works well for the team except for last night where they dished 30+ points and 5 assist each for the team and lost to Hardens triple double.

They are both performing well, but the help coming from the other players are needed in order to move forward and win, without the supporting
cast this team will continue to struggle.
They needed to make everyone to participate, rotations and ball movements is very important not just two but all the five players inside the court
are in need to work and play together.
Look with how the Nets are doing, they've got Kyrie and Harden but aside from this two stars the rest are also contributing and they are doing it
so well so even without KD for a while they still stay at top.

Brooklyn Nets has just won today against Houston Rockets and James Harden has got a triple-double in his return to Houston with 29 PTS, 14 AST, 10 REB!

He made some record here, he is the 6th player who made a triple-double in the first game against their former team.

...

It has been an insane run for Nets. 10 out of last 11 games ended with a victory for them. Harden has been like literally a machine. He made another triple double this time against his former team and I've no doubt that he is enjoying his play.  Cheesy  Despite KD still has a muscle injury, Nets continue on their way superbly. I look forward to see them in playoff games.

They are already playoff bound, and yes they have a insane run, Harden seems to have his second wind in his career in Nets uniform. And when everything is falling into pieces, he is really looking great. But I wanted to see him and the Nets backs against the wall in the playoff to see how are they going to response to pressure and not choke, specially Harden who has a history of playoff chokes.

Looks like Harden is the new main star of this team, just like Curry in the Warriors.

I'm happy that he finally found a team where he is happy playing and the team looks unbeatable.
While the defending champion is struggling due to injury, Nets is kinda showing how easy to win even if they miss Durant.

Can Harden won an MVP award with the consistency he is showing?

Exactly, lots of speculation when Harden was traded, some people think there will be a chemistry issue but we did not see it, Irving and him are trusting each other, they can both score when necessary and most importantly the ball movement was very efficient, hence resulting to a better FG for not only Harden and Irving but the entire team.
the luxury of having 2 other star player in your team, less stress for harden because he doesn't have to worry about taking all the loads for scoring since he has 2 all-star players Durant and Irving, that is why he can do what he wants inside the court, this is what is missing in Houston, if they would have got 2 top players Houston will be a contender, but now nets are pushing it straight for the playoffs and possibly a ring.

with his years in Houston he really became an all-around player, this also happens to steve nash in suns where his coach is the same as nash, sad that D Antoni never reaches the finals he is a great coach and make players better under his wings, if harden will score every night like this with Durant and Irving make good games also they will be champions believe that.

Hence I believe it is quite important to wait and see what will happen in playoffs, dude is a master choker when playoffs comes.
I didn't mind everything until I found this climax.  Grin
There's a good side here though. If he chokes again in a playoffs game, there are chances someone will save the game.
Kyrie or Durant if they will ever be as healthy as they were.

Nets won again in a blowout game. Covered the handicap even the higher ones.
Another triple-double for the bearded man.

Actually laughed on that master choker you have said which is definitely on point. No matter how good the stats are but still not enough on getting a ring but hey
maybe this time we would really be seeing some chance or odds for him to get his 1st time ring? Im also eager to see on how Harden or the entire
team will be performing in playoffs.I do only consider playoffs time when it comes to seriousness of each teams.

I would say that his chokes during big games in the playoffs.

Remember Manu's block on him? Or the last time they had a chance to beat GSW but fall short resulting of Chris Paul being traded out of Houston?

So we will see if Harden's has matured enough or at least gain so much experience from past years that he knows what to do come playoff, specially in close and decisive games.

We have some big game tomorrow.

Jazz vs 76ers.

Jazz playing the best season but 76ers is also a tough team.
Per betting odds, Jazz is the favorite, which team do you think will win, and why?

Please share some thoughts.

I honestly can't pick one way or another.  The sixers can completely flop in this game or dominate.  The center battle will be fun to watch between embid on gobert.  I like the jazz in this one as I dont think the sixers will be able to stop donovan mitchell in this one.  Only thing that will save the sixers is if they hit 3s like they did in the last game.
I have doubts too on which team I would bet.
Perhaps, I will just pass on this one and just watch the game.  Grin

How about the Rockets vs Nets?
Harden will be against his former team and it looks exciting too.
The ML for Rockets though is too high that its scary. Kyrie and Harden combined is playing a monster game.
-9.5 for Nets just to gain a satisfying profit.

Honestly I'm taking the over on this one.  Its sitting at 226 and I know Houston doesn't score all that much but its not like the nets are defensive juggernauts.  Also wrapping in a nets money line bet.  I think harden will light it up this game, I mean every player wants to do that to their old team no? Can see nets scoring 130+ in this one so I think I just need Houston to hit trie digits which I'm hoping they can do in a fast pace game

Probably a good bet.  I think it's safe to say they'd cover the spread as well.  I'm looking for the Nets to demolish the Rockets, but at the same time the Rockets could be looking to put the hurt on Harden for his public disrespect.  It's always fun to watch a player return to his previous team when there's drama, so this might be a game to take some time to watch part of.  Smiley

IMO, Harden is not a master choker, it's just that he is not playing in a championship contender team but he is with the Nets now and he is playing better than when he was with the Nets, so I guess we will still see him choked in the playoffs.

If I would compare Lebron vs James, I believe that Lebron choked more than James.  Grin
Your somewhat right with that but with his previous teams, i dont really see for it not to be a championship contender specially when he's still on Rockets.
Now that he's with another star in the team then he might really have the chance to experience championship or even better getting it.
