I'm one of the people who believe that Nets can make it this season with KD-Harden-Irving trio. They have no NBA championship in their history and they can finally succeed in this after many many years.

All of them have championship experience individually. well for Harden it's just a WCF but it's a western conference championship.  Grin

Their playoff performance will be very important. If they play like now at least, they have a big chance for it. Because they even manage to defeat their competitors in the absence of KD.
As long as they get a home court advantage in a series, I think that would be good enough for them to at last pass the firs round.
No team at the moment in the East can beat the Nets, that's my personal opinion though but it could change depending on how Nets will play in the long run.

To be fair, Houston has given him a lot of opportunity to win as well, getting Dwight Howard, Chris Paul (which is the closest they get) and then Westbrook.

Another reason as well is that they are competing against a prime Golden State Warriors, led by Curry and then later with Durant. So it's hard to go against a dynasty that time. Similar to the 90's when Jordan and the Bulls are dominating, a lot of good teams in the East, New York Knicks, Pacers and no matter how the management built their teams, it's hard to beat the Bulls.
But all those opportunities end up short.
Dwight in his comedian year then CP3 getting injured in WCF.
I bet they can win it if only CP3 was healthy on that moment.

Harden is like Steve Nash now on his prime (although he's really old that time) in Phoenix Suns.
Average mostly with double figures of assists and points.
He's just better since he can also gain rebounds.

There's still some pieces missing when Harden was still in Houston.

But this time it is different with the Nets, again, he seems to gain more confidence with his new team mates around. Specially that he have Kyrie and Kevin who both has championship experience. Unlike with Houston, yes CP3 is good but he doesn't have that championship experience.

So let's see how far the Nets can go this time with Harden looking for his 1st championship ring.

Both have championship experience and they also won a championship. Durant (2x champion), and Irving (1x) champion. Winning is already part of them so Harden will be influence here.

So let's see how far the Nets can go this time with Harden looking for his 1st championship ring.
They'll do better especially if Durant will come back healthy after the all star. Nets are still next to Sixers in standing but soon they'll take that spot easily, I can sense it already with the way they play, they play with consistency and only loss once after Durant got injured.

This is Harden's best opportunity to win a championship, there's nothing he can ask for, he has the best line up with the MVPs in the NBA. He now almost average a triple double per game, it's the best season for him and take note, he is playing with superstars so the production are divided well unlike with the Rockets where he can do whatever he want.

I saw a meme today that made me laugh. It said to honor James Harden the Rockets decided to lose 13 games in a row (his #). I enjoyed that. Poor Rockets are only proving Harden’s point that they weren’t good enough for him to win with.
They are making meme's unto a serious problem, I don't know if Rockets will laugh on that but I hope they'll not because they are facing a serious problem. Harden has been the heart and soul of that team and the moment he left, that changes everything and they have become a shitty team.

If they are done honoring, maybe they can start winning.
LOL. True.
He may not have given them a championship but he had given a lot of effort to that team for a long time.
Presence. He is not one of the lazy superstars out there.
Look at him now. With better management and a good coaching style, we didn't know he can change his way of playing basketball.
They are just jealous of his achievements right now.
He can do triple-doubles with less effort.  Grin

I think the reason why Harden can do all the things now, is because he had the luxury of having 2 other superstars, this is what missing in Houston, harden is not really a defensive-minded person, he is more of a scoring player, he can do defense but not that much, although there are some highlights of his defense, he is more focus scoring every game.

The Rockets also will retire the No. 13 jersey of James Harden. but its going to be confusing to see that since when do teams retire player's jerseys for not being there to reach and play in the playoffs?
So it must be that the rockets are doing it differently. This isn't a team that hasn't won anything ever and Harden finally got them in to the playoffs or anything out of this season. I could see this from say the Clippers, who will be going on and retire CP3's jersey. the poste of CP3 changed the looks od for the team. Harden came to a team that already has some great history and championships and but at the end he failed to deliver and he dint even gets o the Finals.
When Harden left the Rockets, they were not losing right away, in fact they still have a good run until an injury happen to Christian Wood.

https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/basketball/nba/player/30279/christian-wood

This player is so underrated, he can make a double double and help the team to win, so in his absence Rockets lacking the defense and offense he can contribute to the floor. I guess it's only because of the current situation, Harden playing well wit the Nets while Rockets are tanking but I believe it's not because of Harden like I said.

Davis would not play, I think I will be with Team Harden if that's what we call it now.

No Davis for Team Lebron and No Durant for Team Durant.

I already stated it, it's Team Durant vs Team Lebron and I think Team Durant has a lot of improve players although team Lebron is already proven a strong players. I think I will back on Team Durant here for a change, I love that Kawhi was in their team, he can defend Lebron James for sure.

Both have good and solid selections, it will depends from how those players will take the game seriously, since it's all star game

maybe most of them will not going to force  their game, and just be there to have some fun, I like following you with Team KD most of the time Kawhai loves to compete and with Kyrie, Tatum, Embiid and Harden the show might be entertaining if team LeBron also play's competitively.

Looking forward for the All-Star week!

Maybe this is the time where Kawhi gets an all star MVP, AFAIR, he has not won an all star MVP yet.  The good thing with Kawhi is he is always serious in the all star, and I also see that his 3 point shooting has improve a lot especially that there's no pressure on defense in all star.

They could really make out some fight but wont really be enough if we do really base up on statistics or numbers when it comes to players capability.
If KD was there then i might consider for a good match up but since he's injured or cant play because of left hamstring strain.
Trying to see on into those members of Team Lebron then i can say that it is already over.  Grin Curry+Giannis+Luka+Lebron as starting players?
Not to underestimate the KD team but this one will be entertaining.

I hope OP can put a voting poll just for the coming all star games.
The poll that I like to suggest is, who will win, team James or Team Durant?
If I would vote, I will vote for team Lebron to win, and I want my Luka to be a all star MVP.
Might be good in a separate thread on the Games and Rounds and some what have a bet on this thing  Tongue
Still Durant as for my Choice lol,
Davis would not play, I think I will be with Team Harden if that's what we call it now.
No Durant for Team Durant.

Have you seen guys the locked in roster for the all-star game for Team LBJ and Team Durant?

--> https://www.nba.com/news/2021-all-star-draft

Its pretty exciting to see both of the teams play because of the unexpected picks from both Captains. It would also be a shocker if Lebron suddenly pick a player from Brooklyn Nets but he unfortunately passed up on that chance. I am really excited to see Giannis+Steph play more that Lebron+Steph because I believe that Giannis's and Steph's capabilities can match up specially seeing how Curry is carrying GSW in the current season.

Team Durant is somewhat predictable but its also weird to see that both Utah Jazz players were last to be picked even though they have the greatest record in the current season.

I highly doubt that Team Lebron could lose this. Obviously it is going to be challenge because we are talking about all-star here, not like Team Durant is bad, it is all-stars in both teams so it is obvious that they are both filled with amazing players, but Team Lebron has Giannis, Lebron and Curry together, and also Luka with them as well, how could that team not be favorites no matter who they are playing against.

Thankfully it is not going to be like last year's 24 point or whatever thingy, that seemed like a good way to honor Kobe and I love him, he is my favorite player ever, but that really was a weird game for me to follow and understand, maybe I am too stupid, I understood it but I still got surprised every time it happened in each quarter like I didn't know for a second and then "oh right" back to reality. I wish for east all-stars versus west all-stars back as well if you ask me, this team Lebron team Giannis team Durant thing is weird to me.

I think the both team will be having so much fun in the all star weekend. They will definitely maximize the potential of their chosen team. I think this year Imma rooted for Team Lebron though the Team Durant is pretty solid too. And one thing I will wait is the debut of Zion's 1st All Star appearance. I think this game will definitely gonna be a dunk game. I'm also expecting to see Lamelo Ball but I think this all-star isn't gonna his time right now. I'm also aware that there are many new faces in the All Star players and some of my rooted players aren't there this year like D-Rose, Draymond Green and etc.
