Nets still continue their incredible performance. They managed to defeat Spurs away also after overtime. They got 9 wins in their last 10 games which is awesome. Harden played great against Spurs in the last game. He got 30 points, 14 rebounds and 15 assists. Irving also had very good statistics - 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

They are now gelling together. A healthy Nets isn't only strong in papers but legitimately strong as a team. They can be stronger than the 2016 GSW, and in order to prove that they need to win a championship this year and the coming years, they need to have consecutive finals appearance in the coming years. I'm a little confident that they'll make it to finals this year. None of the Eastern teams could beat a healthy Nets team.

That's right, they need to prove first by winning a championship as regular season is completely different than in playoffs.
Nets could be playing so well now but if they are not that compose during the playoffs, I'm afraid they'll be upset even if they will become a top 1 in the rank.

Durant needs to come back as he has more playoffs experience and achievement, hoping for his good heath and to stay healthy through the regular season especially i the playoffs, but chemistry wise, I guess they have figure it out already.
But there chances are really looking good right now and I'm expecting that they will carry it to the playoffs because their big 3 has the experience.

Yes, for sure Durant will comeback after the break, Nash and the Nets are not taking any chances to force him to play, they wanted him fully healed for the playoffs. And the good thing is that the team are doing good, giving Durant the needed buffer to take a rest.

Guys, don't forget that the All-Star Game is this weekend! They announced an hour ago all the participants in the 3-point contest, slam dunk contest, and the skills competition:

"NBA All-Star 3-point contestants: Stephen Curry, Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Devin Booker, Zach LaVine."
source: https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1366910357344763904

"Slam Dunk Contest Participants: Anfernee Simons, Cassius Stanley and Obi Toppin."
source: https://twitter.com/ChrisBHaynes/status/1366909229622194176

"Skills Competition Participants: Luka Doncic, Chris Paul, Nikola Vucevic, Domantas Sabonis, Julius Randle, and Robert Covington."
source: https://twitter.com/TheSteinLine/status/1366910841652674560

The 3-Point contest and skills challenge are set prior to the All-Star Game, the slam dunk contest will be held at halftime of ASG. The 3-point contest appears to be the most interesting one imo considering whos in, though i would have preferred to see players like Rozier, VanVleet or even Lonzo Ball, they have all made considerably more 3s this season than Tatum and Jalen Brown.

Ayton will have to play a good game for the Lakers to lose.  That's asking a lot from the young big man.  We'll see though.  The Suns usually have a hard time against the Lakers, but this is the best team we've had in years.  I'll be watching the game tonight.  It's a nationally televised event on TNT, which the Suns don't see very often.  I actually can't remember if I've ever seen the Suns on TNT.  Certainly not since the Nash/Marion days.
Ah so you are Suns fan Smiley. Yeah I agree, Ayton won't have an easy job against Harell and Gasol, that's for sure. I've been underestimating your team yet they keep winnings, so decided to put some money on the this time.

Can't say I paid attention much to Suns since the Nash days, but because my countrymen Saric joined them (who I think is pretty decent this season considering the minutes he had) kinda started watching Suns game again.

Riding on the same boat here, too much for Lakers hype, the losing streak that I witnessed kinda showed they are not unbeatable and based on how the suns are playing lately which they have won 8 games of the last 10, I think they'll snatch a win here, even on the road.

I would put up some bets on Suns this time..Not that much of a Lakers hater but i do feel out that they can really win this time.I agree into those words above about Suns only get some attention into those Nash days.

There is good price for the risk on betting on the suns.  Anytime you are playing the Lakers ypu will get lopsided or odds that don't account for actuality.  Money will always come in on the Lakers no matter what they are doing so that will sway the points their way when it shouldn't.  With that being said beware of betting against bron at home.  He can burn you at any given time

Harden is playing the best season of his career, having that awesome numbers and with consistency, that will surely put him in the MVP favorites this season. They only loss against Dallas when Irving miss a game, but I guess this time they'll continue to win as Irving is back.

What a game by Spurs and Nets! It was really awesome to watch the young players on Spurs becoming super great, we are in a situation where life is becomming good in San Antonio once again, after just a year of bad decisions of rotation and Bellineli plus Forbes making our situation even worse on defense which wasn't great and still is not at top level honestly.

In short. we are finally seeing the team on what it could be this year and we are having a lot of fun, I would love to see this team grow old together but market cap would force us to not sign a few of them, we have way too many guards right now who are not going to be on the team after few years because you can't offer all those kids good amount of money without breaking rules, I hope that we keep at least Keldon, Murray, White, Lonnie, the new ones we drafted could be the ones we let go.

Or they can just let go with their veterans to free up some good market cap, I used to remember way back when Duncan needs to adjust to keep the core intact.

They can simply repeat that for the future of this team, they are developing young talents. So instead of letting them go why not give them some decent / competitive offers. In few more years, Derozan and Aldridge won't be the same as age and those injuries will slow them up. Management needs to have concrete plans for the future of this team, there's connections and that's how Spurs bring the excitement.

Harden put up a crazy 30 14 & 15 tonight in their overtime win. Most impressive is that he didn’t have a single turnover. The entire team only had 5. That’s a pretty encouraging sign that they’re getting their offense together. Especially given the extra playtime and closeness of the game.
Yeah, that's starting to look better, as expected. Those players are simply too good offensively that they wouldn't eventually figure things out.

Now the main thing is to try to have all three players healthy when playoff starts, without even ones of them their playoff might end up early. Their bench looks a bit better but there is still a lot of room for improvement and unless they sort that out I don't see them having deep playoff run.

Good match up tomorrow.
Suns (4th) 22-11 vs Lakers (2nd) 24-11.
Both have 2 winning streak. This might go hardcore trying to stay in their ranks.

Lakers had just gained back their momentum after Schroder came back.
Their defense had been better but, can they stop an offensive Phoenix Suns. I'll be putting my bet for the Suns.
My money will be on Suns too, they are really playing some good basketball. Adding Chris Paul really made them much better, great sign. No one expected them to be so good yet again game after game they are showing that it's not just some luck.

I'm hoping that took a lot out of the spurs and the knicks can come in a sneak a win in Texas.  Not an easy game for the knicks but they really need some momentum heading into the all star break and a win on the road against a team above .500 scratches the itch.

Harden on the triple double again as he dropped 30 points, 14 rebound and 15 assists. Great come back for the BKN... Really close game all through SAS played a "not so confident" game else they've have won.
harden now is becoming a playmaker instead of a scorer, this is what is missing when he is in rockets, maybe because there is no option to pass the ball to score better unlike now in the nets, which he has options like kyrie and durant which he is 100% sure of the scoring, now im sure they have a good shot for the ring if things are  to go their way in the east.

While I think the Golden State Warriors need someone to set a good offense and defense and I think they are marking Jeremy Lin to come back again in the team but Lin is cut short in signing into GSW because he needs a letter of clearance from his team in the Chinese Basketball Association, which didn't make it the deadline but I think in the next season the Linsanity fever will come back again, and while waiting for an NBA comeback, Lin is playing in G League's Santa Cruz Warriors right now.
I love to see Jerimy Lin back again in NBA. He is really eager with his goal to play again in NBA, if he will be given a good playing time, I think he can contribute with the team, particularly in the offense as that is where he is good at.

The Linsanity fever was a short lived, Melo ruined it and later Knicks traded him because they did not see anymore their expectation from Melo.
After that, Melo was not anymore playing like his old self until he has given another chance with the Blazers.

I really love to see him back as well and to help GSW to be a great team again because Jeremy Lin is a good team player and  I think he will be fit to the GSW again and if it doesn't for that injury he had back then I think he will still continue in playing for the Golden State Warriors and that Linsanity outbreak was short-lived because of the selfishness of Carmelo Anthony that only wants to hog the spotlight to himself because if you want to win champions you will need to sacrifice once play style and get it done with the once that fits on the team.
Who will forget Linsanity in New York that time, he really shine during that short stint, but we all know what happen to him and majority blames it to Carmelo Anthony's selfishness. Anyhow, if we wanted to him have a chance to comeback and actually play and contribute again. Might not be the same Lin, but he could spark from time to time and bring that Linsanity again in the NBA.

Maybe he can be a perfect fit in GSW, with the run and gun style of play that will suited more of Lin's style back in the day.

Flop is now a part of the NBA's today culture but since there's physical contact, it's a different story. It's an accident of course but Schroder got the foul.
Yes, I think its because of the camera.
They are like Hollywood now and acts like artists whenever it's needed.  Grin

Sabonis was enhanced more in the Pacers. He was part of the starters and he played with more minutes which he didn't get in his OKC days. He maybe the next face of the Pacers and he deserved an All-Star spot.

Same with you, I'm not aware too that he is a former OKC and played at the same time with Steven Adams and Enes Kanter, and with Russell Westbrook.
No idea that he was a former OKC too until I googled it.
He shined brightly at Pacers with Oladipo as the star back then before the injury.
But now Pacers was left without a star. Holiday brothers, Brogdon and Turner, most of them are roleplayers of this team so yes, Sabonis will get the spotlight.
