Domantas Sabonis won the skills challenge. Luka Doncic and Chris Paul couldn't make the final even though they only played one round, lol. Sabonis and Vucevic played final round and they both were terrible at the last 3-pt line. Sabonis made the point only in 4th try.

Now in 3-points contest Stephen Curry tries his chance 7th time, he has only 1 win (in 2015). Why would they let him make appearance for 7 time though? Looks like terrible marketing to me.

Stephen Curry won the 3-points contest today and that would give him another title. That was a close match in the final round with Conley. Steph 28 points to beat Conley’s 27 in the final round.

All star 2021... So many moments 😎 halfway through
LeBron's dazzling dunks, of course Giannis too and then the guys in their early 20s Zion and Tatum🤗.
Curry's 2 logo 3's between the TA in the ALL STARS, Curry with the alley and Cp3 doing the same right afterwards 🤤. The Chef and Dame showed us some half court 3's. C'mon it's got to be 2021.

NBA All-Star Winner
Team LeBron - 4 (100%)
Team Durant - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 4

I closed the poll, thanks to other three voters. Only 4 votes and all of them goes for Team LeBron. Smiley
The game just started. We will see Slam Dunk Contest in half time. Match is not that exciting until now, too many missed shots and dunks. Hopefully it will be better in second half.

Fans respect him as one of those legit outside shooter and even he's appearance rises up to this level many still continue to support him. My 2 cents of mind.

By the way here's the result as he (Curry) won he's second 3-points all-star shoot out title.

The big guys are running things so far in the skills competition.  It's always fascinating why that happens.  I'm guessing size gives you an advantage on the drills, but if you put a defender in to the mix things would be changed quite a bit.  Nevertheless, I'm expecting Chris Paul to rise to the occasion and try to get himself another award.  Glad this All Star experience is on TNT.  Great to see Ernie and the gang handling the festivities.

It's pretty much confirmed, Blake Griffin to the Nets:

Blake Griffin has cleared free agency waivers and the six-time NBA All-Star is expected to sign with the Brooklyn Nets.

Griffin is not the athlete he once was but has improved his jump shot over the years and he is a pretty decent passer/playmaker. Not that the Nets were lacking talent but with Blake coming this might be the move that puts them over the top in the East, at least. Hard to see anyone beating them in a seven-game series, if they have a healthy roster.

What do you guys think, is this a good signing for the Nets?

I’m less concerned with who wins the all star game than I am with seeing some great plays. I’d like to see LeBron/Steph do something special and a great dunk contest. Doing it at halftime of the all star game should keep things moving and entertaining. Looking forward to it!
I do love to see the moves that those participants or players would able to make because team up like this do only happen once which means possible good moves and executions can really be seen.

Im not really minding much on who's gonna win as long i do get the entertainment i do seek.

All star is just all about entertainment, less or no defense at all so they can make exhibition shots to entertain the crowd, but for me I still cheer in a certain team and I think Leonard will get a chance to win an all star MVP if Team Lebron will lose. Also, this is a high scoring game because of the lack of defense and fans love a high scoring game.

Alright guys it's a little late but I added a poll about All-Star. Everything about All-Star is late this year anyway. Smiley
Which team do you think will win this entertainment game? You are already commenting your opinions here but we will see it in visual with that poll too. I hope everybody join before the game starts.

It is going to be a very easy for Team Lebron if you ask me, they are much much better than Team Durant, and lack of Durant in team Durant is a big deal, I think that would have been a big positive for them. I am still mad that they didn't pick my guy Demar Derozan for all-star he definitely deserved it much more than many other players, but certainly more than Mike Conley for sure, that is 100% guaranteed that he was better.

I really hope that it is entertaining, for millions of Europeans it is in a horrible hour, Asia is a bit more lucky because for them it is in the morning, they can just wake up and watch it, for me it is going to be at an hour where I can't just wake up at that hour, but I can't wait for that hour and then not sleep for the whole game neither, it is going to be a bit of a tough situation for me, hence why I think it is going to be hard to stay awake, but I will try.

I have my personal bet about who will be the MVP for the all-star-game. I think we will see an amazing Luka Doncic and he will be selected as the MVP.
Luka Doncic for the Lebron Team side but I bet on Joel Embiid for the Kevin Durant side. Joel Embiid is doing his best NBA season so far so he probably will be on fire looking for the MVP tittle Wink
What are your thoughts or bets? Enjoy

Luka Doncic @13.. that's a good odds, and on other team it's Embiid with 7.16... If you bet on both players and either of them won, you are sure at a profit so I guess it's worth the risk, and this is all star, what matters is you enjoy the most and let's have a break for a while.

More enjoyable if you got lucky and one from this two opposing team win the MVP.

Embiid if they'll win this game might take this as he may  touch the ball more and try to score, while in the other side, not sure if Luka may have that opportunity, having LeBron, Curry and Giannis where all are MVP's if pride comes along this three superstars they may intent to take the title.

If I'm not mistaken this is Luka's first all star appearance right?

Second appearance. And 3 years ago when he was a rookie he was second by votes on the West. But then was not on all star since got to low votes by coaches and media.
That's correct.
It's his second now and both of them are with Team Lebron.

If his stats and the way he enjoys the game will never fade then people will keep on voting for him no matter what.
He will be in All-Star for a long time. He's young and he might break records of the amount of All-Star attended with other superstars.

My pick: Luka Doncic (Skills), Steph Curry (3's) Obi Toppin (dunk)
If we check the odds for the skills challenge, we will see that Doncic has a slight advantage over Paul. Nonetheless, I hope Paul can win this time, considering that this contest will be his fifth attempt, and he's never won it before.

If the answer is yes then I would not put a bet on him to win, there are a lot ball hoggers in Team Lebron and they might be given a bigger chance to win than Luka. I think if Team Lebron would win, it will also be Lebron who will be the MVP.

I check the betting odds of the upcoming all star weekend and I'm planning to put a little bet particularly in the 3 point shooting.

The top favorite is Steph Curry with 2.25 odds but I could not take my eyes off on the underdog of the fight as I think I'm seeing some potential of a win.
What do you think about Jaylen Brown's chances? his odds is 8.48 at the moment.
