Just imagine about what will happen if they could able to defeat Mavs and Wolves then continue their winning streak then provably with that they have huge chance to replace Warriors at 10 spot on standings. Although this is really though since that two teams is more stronger than them but who knows their hot streak will lift their confidence and they can able to surpass these two teams then can continue their winning streak.

I can't imagine that the Rockets will be able to pass the Mavericks. They met a couple of times this season and although the Rockets were able to defeat the Mavericks at one of those meetups, the Mavericks didn't have Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford, and P.J. Washington in that game while the Rockets were playing at their full healthy lineup. The Timberwolves recently destroyed one of the top teams too, the Denver Nuggets, and they will be really a tough team to beat for the Rockets.

Confidence is not enough for the Rockets to win but as you said and I agree with, who knows?

If you are a risky bettor, you can put some extras betting on the Rockets' Moneyline and point spread. I'm sure the odds for them will be juicy.

At this point, there's no impossible for the Rockets as they are the hottest team in the NBA now. Betting on moneyline is still good, they might be the underdog but at least you are getting enough value since their confidence is too high that they can beat any team they'll play with. Just think about this, if an undermanned Hawks beat the Celtics twice, how much more a healthy Rockets who are streaking hot?

If they manage to get that many wins, it would be quite successful for them. The only remaining games that look easy are the jazz games. We can also count Portland. Because all the other teams have the possibility of being in the playoffs. So I wouldn't be surprised if they only get 3 wins in the last 10 games, even though they are such a fired up and fit team and they are having a great streak. Rockets did amazingly lately but it cannot go forever. If Jalen Green continues to play at this level, my level of respect will be very very high.

It's worth noting that the Rockets were lucky enough to continue their winning streak, as they won their last game versus the Jazz by just 1 point. I think the next two games versus the Mavs and Wolves will be tough for the Rockets and will probably be decisive in terms of whether the Rockets can make the play-in tournament or not.

I check both Rockets and Warriors schedules recently. They have similar schedule for opponent team which is both Mavs and Wolves that are both in competition to secure a better spot on playoffs. I think both of them will benefit if they kick out Warriors on the playoffs by beating it on their upcoming matchup and purposely lose on Rockets because Warriors might be their problem in the playoffs.

This is just my speculation but I believe Warriors will be having a rough time getting past Mavs or Wolves on their next game.

I'm more excited for Rockets to get a play in spot than Warriors since there inconsistency is so stressful for their fans and they are bit disarranged this season also their starts is quiet inconsistent that's why they suffer from big losses. Although they are now in 3 win streak but that doesn't mean they are already fine.

Kyrie is a good player, noone can deny that. He's just not really a team player IMO.

You are right, the Kyrie we have known since then is more on solo play.

But here at the Dallas Mavericks, many have doubted that Kyrie isn't fit with Luka since they are both ISO players. I'm one of those doubters and want Kyrie to be traded instead as I think he will just destroy the chemistry of the Mavericks. But that was all changed and I think Luka gives way as a playmaker for Kyrie. Since teams knew that Kyrie always acted solo on most plays, he was sometimes doubled or tripled on defense, and that made other scorers of the Mavericks always free at the perimeter.

That's why it didn't work with Lebron for too long, didn't work with KD,

There is a personal issue between Lebron James and Kyrie Irving that's why the latter asked for a trade. But before that, their Cleveland Cavaliers championship year is great proof that if LBJ and Kyrie work together as a team, they are a threat.

He also had personal issues with the Brooklyn Nets (a crybaby lol) before that's why he didn't work well with Kevin Durant back then. Then later on, Durant also had an issue with the management there and the rest is history.

Without the play-ins, many teams would've rested their main players with minor injuries to heal and give way to the other players.

I guess that statement can only applied in the Eastern Conference where as always, you can see there's not much close competition for the bottom playoff spot. Before the involvement of the Play-in tournament, the Eastern Conference is always like that. Even though there are still several games remaining in the season, if the team doesn't have a chance now to enter the playoffs, key players are now sitting out or just having a limited time of playing.

Different from the Western Conference every season, you can see teams are battling closely with each other and even those teams from 9th spot to 12 spot can still change the final playoffs lineup. And become more interesting and thrilling because of the addition of a play-in tournament.

Rivals Boston and Milwaukee are back in the winning column. Too bad for the Pelicans because I like them in the 4th position rather than the Clippers who already has the veterans and a trio of superstars.

Less than 10 games already for most of the teams. It's the first time I appreciate this new play-in system. It makes the games better since some of the bottom teams are still playing hard for a chance to enter the playoffs. Without the play-ins, many teams would've rested their main players with minor injuries to heal and give way to the other players.

The Dallas Mavericks are really impressive in their recent games.

Last season, many speculated that Kyrie Irving was not fit for the Dallas Mavericks but that all changed this season.

It's also noticeable that Kyrie Irving has many dunks established this season which is unusual to him. I want to see the team reaching the Finals.

Looks like they are not given a chance to take their spot because is a sure playoff game for them and they don't need to play in the play-in tournament at this point if they can preserve their spot. I think this is one of the best seasons for the Mavs and they made the right decision not trading Kyrie to the other team rather they made some good adjustments in order to synch him play with Luka and their Duo is in another level obviously compared to last season, me too, they are one of the teams that I really wanted to see in the final as well, not because of the team but because of their current rosters.

I thought they would lose that game against the Sacramento Kings but they were able to make a rally. If I remember right, they are being downed as many as 13 points several times and the Sacramento Kings dominated the whole game not until the final few minutes. Dallas was also downed by 10 points in the last 8 minutes of the game. They just made it close during the final few minutes and finally sealed a win.

Dante Exum's crucial shot, PJ Washington's offensive help, and Daniel Gafford's tough defense also contribute big on that win.

Dejounte Murray played a great game and was the game winner. The Atlanta Hawks surprised again and won the game in overtime.
As I said, it was a difficult game to predict, many people who bet on this game may have lost because of this game.

Dejounte Murray played well, he set a career high, but he scored 44 points on 44 shots. He used the ball a lot, so that kind of overshadows the scoring record a little bit. But no matter what, he deserves credit for a great overtime performance and a game winner from long 2. While Trae Young is out, it was to be expected that he would use the ball more, and he made the most of it. Also don't forget Bogdanovic and Hunter, who both scored 45 points total.
Hawks needed that win. They still have a chance to finish 9th. Although it's hard to say who would be a better opponent for them in first play-in round.

They can try again today against the number 2 team in the East.

I think if Bogdanovic shooting is on point again, they have a chance to beat the Bucks. Murray can't score the same number of bigger because he is now a mark man, plus how can they limit Giannis whom for sure will use his dominance inside. What bugged me was the point spread difference because against the Celtics they were +14.5 while only +4.5 now... Does it mean that bookies are not anymore underestimating them or just the Bucks not as good as the Celtics or even close?

Anyway, we will find out few hours from now but I'm keeping an eye on the Hawks, if they still play the same intensity they showed vs the Celtics, then I guess I might be tempted to put a bet on them to win straight up.

2-3 days ago the Atlanta Hawks made a very good comeback and won the game. They will play against Boston Celtics again tonight and I can't make any predictions for this game. It will be a fun game to watch. Let's see what the result will be.
They got complacent and careless the last time but I think the Celtics will get their revenge later to show that it was just a fluke. If you're still doubting them then this is probably your chance to get some for the Hawks since bookies have it  @1.08 for Boston and @8.60 for Atlanta. Hawks +10.50 also looks good @2.50

As I said, it was a difficult game to predict, many people who bet on this game may have lost because of this game.

Yeah I don't know what the moneyline was on the Hawks but it had to be a huge payout.  I think the line was -15.5 for Boston. Boston always seems to throw up some stinkers every now and again.  In my eyes it's Boston and Denver and then everyone else.  Boston in a 7 game series is going to be incredibly hard to beat.

The Miami Heat beating the Portland Trail Blazers by sixty is crazy. The largest win in franchise history. A lot of the damage was done by their bench too. I guess you can say the Damian Lillard trade hasn’t quite paid off for the Trail Blazers, who have struggled pretty bad this year. Even Ayton who had been playing well didn’t do much tonight.
And that would also say a lot how strong the Miami Heat is, it's not only their dominant win because they also dominated the Cavaliers by 37 points. .. But them making a history for the franchise, that was insane. I am now convince that the Miami heat is still a championship team, though they might struggle in the NBA finals as they failed twice already (not even close) but in the East, the Celtics have to be prepared for them, or the Bucks.

Miami Heat is still has plenty of powers, they still have Butler and the experience under their belt, and they could be one of the dark horse again this playoff. It will not be instant for Portland though, they really have to rebuild after trading Dame Lillard and it's obviously struggled this season.

In playoff it's series so whether who Miami faces in their game, they should be prepared as Miami is not a easy team to beat. They will be hard pressed to be swept even if they faces top seed in the East, that's for sure.

I wonder what would be Giannis would request from the management if the Heat will beat them in the playoffs. Bucks already have a legit superstar Giannis +Lillard, they might need to traded Middletone in case they'll fail in the playoffs again. If Bucks will keep the current standing which is the number 2, Miami Heat will need to be at rank 7 for them to face, that's after the play-in.

I honestly think Giannis is gone either way.  His pairing with Dame hasn't turned into the great friendship and duo that everyone thought.  Dame doesn't seem happy and he's already talking about going back to Portland.  I think everyone believes this is a last chance situation for the Bucks.  If they don't win a championship I think both Dame and Giannis find new homes for next year.  I really like the idea of Giannis going to the Golden State Warriors and helping Steph win another championship.  The most entertaining outcome to me would be Giannis and LeBron both going to the Warriors and winning another 2 championships to end LeBron's career.

And firing their former coach and getting Doc Rivers might bite them in the ass if they are going to lose against the Heat again. As we have said, they are doing good before getting coach Rivers.

They also have a history of firing their coach, even Mike Budenholzer who help them win a championship was not spared. So it's not the players that is the problem. But the management itself who keeps on changing their coaches if they see that they are under performing. At least gave them a good chance before replacing them.

Yup, it's not the coach or the players but the managements who should take the blame I guess if they failed again this season after acquiring Dame they might change their head coach again and trades are not impossible to happen, though with the current sqaud winning chance still good for them in the east side, maybe some more adjustments and consitency may help them to advance to the next round.

Let see if same thing will happen or they may be able to escape and move forward anything can happen as competition is also tough with the playoff teams in the east side.
