It looks like Markelle Fultz really found the right team for him. He's been contributing well that lead the Magic's 4-0 run this season. He's come a long way since his "classic" free throw days at Philadelphia. Remember those days? Hehe.

Another surprise is the Cavs 3-1 record.

I don't think they can keep their lead at the table but who knows? This could be another crazy season.

I think Orlando found a fine rookie like Cole Anthony the guy will be a favorite I guess for 2021 ROTY. And, yeah he's at it: https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/nba/rookie-of-the-year-odds/ though at the tight spot there are still more room to turn the table.

NBA are barely starting there are for sure some changes on every team. I don't think that the season debut winners can continue this up until it gets to 30+ game but I think that's good for them if they do besides we are at no home court advantage season.

Good news!

Quote
John Wall, James Harden, Danuel House, P.J. Tucker and Christian Wood will start Thursday's game against Sacramento.

Rockets will get this win, though Kings been playing a competitive basketball lately but I'd go with the team who are hungry for their first win in this season.

Bucks are the ones who need a new year miracle with a 2-3 start of the end of 2020.

This team is still inconsistent, after getting a blowout win against the Heat, they lose by 11 points from the same team they beat. I would say what we are seeing with the bucks now is the same team we saw who struggled in the playoffs, and they might not be the number 1 this season.

Maybe will see Wall back in the next game of the Rockets.  Grin

That would be great.  I haven't gotten to see Harden & Wall play together yet.  I haven't really seen Wall play at all in years except for gym runs on twitter videos.  Given that he's one of the highest paid athletes in the world and has barely played in the last 2-3 years, I think there should be a bit of excitement if he does get healthy and finds himself able to put in a decent number of games this season.  I'm not sure how well him and Harden go together, or Harden and anyone for that matter, but it will still be fun to watch.

The Lakers seem to be missing some big man energy they were getting from JaVale McGee & Dwight Howard last year. I think it was a mistake to let them both get away. Particularly Dwight Howard given how cheap he was willing to sign for.
It was indeed a mistake on letting those big man to get away with those two you can really see the contribution or the control below the rim or in paint.
What a bad decision that had been made.
Just relax, Lakers may not won every game but they are not struggling, they are still a great team, Gasol, Davis, and Harrell will soon be more consistent. I think their biggest mistake was letting Rondo, the 2nd unit is a better roster with him.
They got the win with points to spare from Lebron and on his birthday.
So it was a happy 36th birthday for the King James of the NBA. Grin

The recent highlight that LeBron gave really got me thinking into that he really have put on some age. That free dunk he had was supposedly something he could really create a dunk with style but he did not introduced enough bounce and just played a regular dunk BUT still, who am I to doubt the King!! I too, is still hoping that most of his team mates will step up and play consistently.

LA Clippers played a home game against Portland last night. They won here again (128-105). They are the leader in the Western Conference now. On Clippers side, Kawhi Leonard got 28 points and 7 assists. Paul George made a double-double (23 points and 10 rebounds). On Portland side, McCollum got 25 points and Lillard got 20 points.

Who saw Westbrook's historical start?
Although they've lost to the Bulls and taking their first win in the season. Whilst Wizards still has no win.  Undecided
His triple double doesn't really help at all, his style is still the same with the OKC Thunder, I don't know what would happen to the Wizards this season but I hope they'll adjust and make westbrook's talent to work for the team so the team will improve.
Yep. Too bad that it didn't help the team but still a history made by him. He's doing fine but it's about his other teammates that have to step up too.
Wizards are not expected to be in the playoffs I guess, but with the way we are seeing, I believe John Wall is more effective than Westbrook and we saw how bad the Rockets in the last season, maybe we will see some surprises now as Harden will stay and Wall is now healthy.

Maybe will see Wall back in the next game of the Rockets.  Grin

How about the Orlando Magic? they set up a franchise history with their 4th win in a row. this team doesn't have a lot of superstar rooster but still continue to stay on the top, will it continue until the 5th game?

It was amazing seeing Markelle Fultz lead a team to victory finally.  What happened to his jumpshot is one of the strangest mysteries in sports.  I've never seen someone suffer from such a mental block, except maybe Charles Barkley when it comes to golfing...

All this winning while Aaron Gordon isn't even healthy.  A good sign for the young team from Orlando, but I'd still be a surprised if they made the playoffs this year.  It's a little early in the season to be celebrating wins.  Still beats losing though.   Smiley

Many think about when he's still on philly that he's a big bust but now he proves that he's worth every penny that Orlando pays him, I'm sure many of fans now turn their heads back on him again.

But I think they rooster is not enough to beat those strong teams in the league and I will be surprised if they will reach to play offs.

well, I'm a little out of date with the NBA, but could anyone tell me about the injury Kawhi Leonard had against Serge Ibaka?
Was it something serious? Is he better already? or was it nothing too much?

update on Kawhi Leonard can be found in https://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/nba/player/29695/kawhi-leonard

Here's some info about what happen ,

Quote
Kawhi Leonard (mouth laceration) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks.
Leonard had to receive eight stitches inside of his mouth as a result of his collision with Serge Ibaka during Friday's win over Denver. Luke Kennard appears to be the most likely option to fill the resulting void in the starting lineup, and Leonard's absence will also put the ball in Paul George's hands even more.

DFS Slant:
With Kawhi OUT for today's matchup against the Mavericks, Paul George will become a popular must play at value pricing.

Don't worry, he will be back soon, kind of injury needs a little time to rest to heal but it's not that serious though.
wow, thank you so much for this information @Viscore. well, as what can see, the injury wasn't very serious
Leonard was back, he played, 30 minutes and led the team with 28 points to dominate the visiting Portland TrailBlazers.
it was a good come back by him, they won 23 points on a team that beat the Lakers.

Another NBA player who has recently suffered an ankle injury was Ja Morant, it was not very serious, but he will be away for a few weeks
I hope both players recover soon!
Yeah, that wasn't really good, but good thing it was not serious. The team has to adjust now that he is out, hopefully they can still win some games.

How come they let these 2 go that easily considering they really are a big help on the board? Well, changes do happen but I think they need more aggressive big man on the board and has that defensive skill set, they may got Monsta Trezz but I think height and reach is a big factor.

I am not saying they are ten times better this way, I am just saying I do not see too much difference, hell I could even say they might be a bit better right now.
Just using last year's performance could make a better comparison.
Harrell might be the 6th man of the year but it stopped when they are against the Nuggets.
Marc is not that hardcore defensive player for me unlike what Howard did against Jokic last year.
He did put him down unable to create plays like pick and roll with Murray.
I may be a Nuggets fan but I really love how Howard did things to win a championship. He didn't hurt anybody but the way he bullied Jokic under the rim is not an easy task.
We might just have different opinions on this. Let's see if Harrell and Marc can prove something as the season matures.

Wow! that's amazing, honestly, I didn't notice that since I wasn't following this team, you know, they are not a top contender team but I'm happy to see them having a good start. Looking forward for the streak continue, and hopefully they'll be a legit contender if they'll eventually reach the playoffs.

It was surprising that they have let go of Dwight. I thought that he's part of the big players that they will retain after the championship they've took with him.
