Currently, Jrue Holiday is their starting PG and DJ Augustin is their 2nd option.
Yeah, but I don't really see Jrue as a playmaker but Augustin does.
They might still be keeping it this pre-season. Let's see what Mike Budenholzer would do.

More like someone needs some money.
Post-pandemic problems maybe?  Grin
I think Stephen Curry is finally back! he has some monstrous performance in the 3rd quarter earlier and they manage to beat the Kings in the preseason matchup.
Let's hope his consistency will come out.
No Klay means he will shoulder a huge offensive attack.

Regular season opening in about five days. How's your favorite team doing so far? Any changes on who you might think will go to the playoff this season like Warriors or maybe Pelicans making the cut?

Any bookie who has odds available for this season's champ?
I still onto Clippers for the regular season but somehow I love the performances of GSW and I do love to see Lamelo too on the Hornets. I bet Warriors will cut it to the playoffs this time around still doubtful on Pelicans especially how Williamson will play or if he's 100% fine. I haven't been into bookies right now but once regular seasons open I'll do, looks like it's still Lakers as the favorite or the Nets.

you can see the top favorites here https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/futures/

Quote
Los Angeles Lakers   +275   7/4
Los Angeles Clippers   +550   11/2
Milwaukee Bucks   +550   11/2
Brooklyn Nets   +600   6/1

That's the top 4 favorites, Brooklyn Nets is still in the top 4, but they are overrated IMO because Durant and Irving was there, things could be different once the playoffs starts which is still a long wait.

Maybe they should recruit more star that can help them in outside scoring since this one is I think the lacking of the bucks to reach the finals.
There chance is over, a lot of players that are free agent in the past few weeks but they didn't get a good player, maybe if James Harden will be acquired this team will improve, but who would be sent in return?

It could be.

Knowing Harden's skills and capabilites, putting him with Giannis is something that will make a huge impact to this franchise.
But just like what you have said, they missed that opportunties, chances that Houston already provide the demand of Harden's camp bringing him stay and sign new a contract.

No, Harden't contract will end in 2023 per the news ; https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2720531-james-harden-houston-rockets-reportedly-working-on-biggest-contract-in-history

The rumor now is that Harden want to be traded, not because of the salary issue but maybe he doesn't like to play with his teammates anymore and he is looking for a team that will bring him a championship, and since Harden signed a big contract, that would mean a lot of players to be release in exchange for him if both parties will agree.

He(Johnny Wilkes ) wasn't get paid for $2.5 million after he helped to recruit Kawhi to the Clippers, the amount is huge, I think it's worth fighting for in the court if he has all the evidence.

All good, I have a lot of favorite teams, I don't stick to one and they are all doing good.
Lakers, Clippers, and Mavericks, named it,.. I don't have favorites in the East by the way.

I'd love to see Curry on the floor, being the last dragon (as the basketball fans said to him) but his days just ended up. He is still my favorite player no matter whoever his teammates. But to ask my favorite team this season, I'm still on the warrior.

I know that warrior can't be that good as before and fewer chances to get back their strong teammates again, and to the fact also that many rookie players are so dumb as well on the floor and shows no respect to their oldies players. However, this will never chance mine and just continue giving support.

Everyone here is taking shots at giannis's game but he is probably a top 5 player in the entire world right now lol.  There is no perfect machine.  If anyone needs to up their games its all the people around him, he isn't the issue lol.
Exactly.

The guy has the talent and Bucks should really look into a better team up or get an additional one into their roster. But no idea if they'll do that as long as they're focusing on Giannis. Otherwise, his mates have to upscale their performance.

Unfortunately Bucks has not big 3, but still they manage to have the best record in the league last season, they just have a problem in the playoffs. I think the team has to start following what other teams are doing, they have at least 2 superstars in a team and they have a chance winning in the playoffs.

At this season, I don't see a big improvement for the Bucks if there is.
Yes.

Their past performance is still good even though they don't have the same roster buff as other teams have. I think they're still blending their team and once it got the mix that it needs, they're dominant this season.

I'm a fan though and that's why I'm positive with them but regardless of that, compare to other teams roster, they really need to have more key players.

They dominant to the other team which have weak line up but what if they face the super teams in the court? for sure they will be out powered since they don't have enough strong second unit in their bench and I think that is the concern of Giannis that's why he think about leaving the time. Maybe they should recruit more star that can help them in outside scoring since this one is I think the lacking of the bucks to reach the finals.

Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.

I hope they could get someone that could help them get a championship.

Giannis can't carry the team himself so he really needs to be efficient when it comes to his teammates on the court or develop his skills as you've said about his 3 point shooting. Their strategies are so limited and I hope they could use Korver too so they will have someone that could do the shooting and them focussing on inside scores.

That's one criticism of Bucks though, it's all Giannis and he can't do anything by himself, he needs someone to work with at least with a superstar caliber and mentality and not just B and average players. Yes, Middleton can be that guy, but I will say that he is not enough for the team and Giannis to get over the hump of the playoffs.

So yeah, no improvement this year, the same second crew and probably we won't see them in the finals in the East. Miami might give them the same problem as last year if they ever meet again in the playoffs, just saying.

Middleton is good but for me he is not good enough, a star player is someone that could be like Kyrie Irving, Johh Wall, James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, many more of course, and I think Middleton is not yet on their level.

Call it hate or criticisms but feedbacks from basketball fans are normal hehe.

There is no perfect machine.
All the more that he needs to up his game. He can't stop from improving and evolving if he really wants to win a championship since other teams have already figured him out somehow. He can put more work into his perimeter shooting and movement in the post so defenders won't just think he'll drive and dunk.

I agree that his teammates should improve too. Giannis really needs shooters around him to spread the floor.

It's unfair for Giannis that some people want or expect him to do that ball handling, 3 points, or simply a jump shot. It's out of his league. It's even a bonus already for the Bucks that he sometimes does a 3 point shot.

We all know his specialty. He's a Power Forward when he entered the league and he is dominant in that position. Ball handling should be done by his teammates instead. Same with doing 3 points shots. The Bucks just can't find yet a better squad for Giannis.
It's a nice to haves to see Giannis shooting three, I'm not saying that we should expect him to shoot 3's every game, but at least added that to his arsenal. The key here is for Giannis to be unpredictable, yes he is a power forward and needs to penetrate the paint to score. But if you are going to look at the last 2 playoffs that they were eliminate, specially against the Raptors, he was too predictable that's why the Raptors was able to closed him out.

The problem is he has not been unpredictable yet, and yes he is shooting 3's but how was the accuracy on that.
He might add it in his arsenal but if he will use it when he does not have a good shooting percentage, then I would not be surprise it will hurt the team.

IMO, Brook Lopez their center is a good shooter than him.
No doubt on Lopez in shooting 3's when it comes to accuracy which is way more better compare to Giannis. It isnt really that being forced nor mandated but its a common sense thing
for Giannis to have those extra capabilities towards scoring. We know that he's a good PF but i agree on the words on being predictable.Being boxed-out would totally
isolate him in making some scores or penetrating the paint.

Im even surprised on past playoffs that he do shoot 3's.It not bad to make attempts but he should consider that it isnt his specialty.
